They were fantastic! Great food and it came over fast! Solid place.

Worst

The service sucked pretty bad. The food was ""Okay"" I've had much better. I chose this resturant based on the reviews from this site and I have no idea why this resturant receive...

Great Buffet 3/23/2005

The best value is their buffet. It is very nice and spacious inside. The food was excellent. There are not many other Indian restaurants where I liked the food as much as here. Buffet included a delicious selection. If you like Indian food you should definitely try this place. more

We absolutely love this place particulary for its all you can eat lunch buffet for 9 bucks. Their food is very tasty. That naan is awesome, and if there's a dish you like for the buffet that's not up there, they'll make it for you! What more could you want. Pros: inexpensive, good food, good service more

WOW!!! What a find! I had never heard of ""Star"" untill the first time I passed by and decided to walk in. It was absolutly the BEST Indian food I have ever eaten. The smells, flavors, and warm feelings were all amazing. I will definitly be back very soon. Pros: Good Deals, excellent food, friendly service more

best chicken tikha! 11/21/2002

I have been going to indian restraunt in LA, but this place is the best Indian restraunt so far. my bf who's british, and known for picky for indian food is also agrees. their checkin tikha masala is the best. so creamy and tasty. the waiter's are friendly and answer any question about their menu. they also are flexible. i told them what i like and don't like and they made a special dish for me! how nice! you definitely should try if you are a indian food lover! more

I come here for the $8 lunch buffet, when it's virtually empty during the weekdays. It's got the standard dishes - rice, tandoori chicken, daal, naan, etc. But the chicken tikka masala is unusually creamy and tasty. No desserts, but it's still well worth the price. Tip: Ask them for the hot sauce which isn't out on the buffet table. It definitely kicks the spice level up! This place is better than Mumtaz down the street. more
