This place was very relaxing and I would recommend it to anyone. They were very personable and the massage I got was excellent! It also was very reasonably priced for the luxury I feel that I experienced. more

I got a horrible haircut from Pam the first time I went and had to return. My hair ended up much shorter than I wanted it due to it having to be fixed. It has taken forever to grow out, but I will be going back this Monday for another cut with Megan. I think the manager of this business, Hope, is rude. She was completely unappologetic for my haircut and refused to do anything about it. I called her manager and did get a gift card for the amount of the first cut. I figured I had to tip twice for that haircut and deal with it being so short, they should at least do that. My teen daughter loves Megan and was able to get a very trendy haircut just by explaining the style. It came out perfect and my daughter was all smiles. If it wasn't for Megan, I would have rated one star. more

Me and my gf went and got a couples massage during one of their "sale weeks". Our technicians were amazing, they catered to our needs and made us feel comfortable even though it was both of our first times. My gf gets her hair done by Justin and it always looks great! If you are concerned about the price they have 20% off Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. And they also have 4 "sale weeks" a year which are 25% off. Still a little pricey but not much worse than any where else that offers the same services. By the way the Spa by Mitchell's is not affiliated with Mitchell's Hairstyling. Mitchell's hairstyling was bought out by Regis, they also do not have the same customer service that the spa does (probably because it's a bigger business). Pros: Great technicians, good customer service, good discounts! Cons: A little pricey, but worth it. more

I had a deep tissue massage with Rachel and she was outstanding. The only reason I didn't give her a 5 was because I was actually quite sore the next day. Maybe just a bit too hard, but that's my fault for not telling her to lighten up a bit. But she was knowledgeable and spent time on my "problem" spots. I have been a customer of Mitchell's hair salon for as least 10 years. I was so excited when they opened the Spa by Mitchell's in Cary Mall (also one at TTC). Every service that I have gotten has been excellent. I concur with the other reviewer that Thahn is the best. I would hightly recommend her alone. She always remembers you and asks questions. I even send my husband to her for a men's facial...he is already asking when he can go back again! I frequently have Amanda do massages for me and she too is very kind and does a great job. As opposed to the other Mitchell's salons, the front desk staff here is always very nice and courteous. I think the manager's name is Hope, and I see her up front and around the building frequently when I am there. I know that has to be part of the reason for the professionalism I see. True, some of them may be in high school so I will cut them a bit of slack on the gossiping at the front. I am sure I did the same when I worked during school!! At Crabtree, the front desk girls are so rude and unprofessional. Overall, I would high recommend it. The only con I can think of is that you need to make your appointments in advance b.c. they fill up quickly, esp, during the sale weeks. I have been going to Blair Mitchell for years...he has to be the best colorist and stylist around. Even my mother who owned a downtown Raleigh hair salon for 40 years says his work is the best she has ever seen! He can do anything...and repair anything. There have been times that I have been stupid and used boxed hair color, and I have gone in lto see him at my worst lemon-headed brass, but always come out with PERFECT color! Low-lights, hi-lights, he can make you look like you were born with the best colors!!! more

I was given a gift card to The Spa by Mitchell's for Christmas in '05. I have had the same esthetician for a few years and was hessitant to try a new one. With the reccomendation of the front desk help, I tried Thanh. She immediately put me at ease, asked pertinent questions, and gave professional reccomendations. Thanh suggested I try microdermabrasion. I was so impressed with my results and products I purchased that I will not be returning to my former esthetician! My results got me many complements! I now take great care of my skin and visit Thanh often! She is professional, curteous, knowledgeable, and awesome! I can't say enough GOOD about her.
