I am pretty much a loyalist when I find a vendor I like, but after 5 years with the same stylist, I decided to try something new. I cannot believe I went to the internet to search (not my style) but I found Shanna. I was a bit nervous but within moments Shanna got me settled down and relaxed. Very Intuitive and Talented 1/9/2009

Shanna knew immediately what to do with my ultra-fine, thin blonde hair when I walked in the door. And believe me, not many hairdressers know how to make my hair look decent. But she went way beyond decent, and made me look fabulous, and the color is now much warmer and more natural than before. She is also so easy to talk to, and I just wanted to hang out there all day! I am so happy with the results that I already made another appointment in advance since she books up so quickly. Thank you so much Shanna, I feel and look like a new person! I'm definitely going back! 12/22/2008

I have the usual difficult to negotiate curly hair and Shanna gave me a cut I love and it honestly changed my relationship w/my hair. I was in a total boring rut before I saw her. I live in San Marcos, but the drive is worth it to let her work with my hair. I'm writing this a bit after the cut has grown out and it still looks great. Thank you so much, Shanna! Pros: Very talented and fun personality. Great communication in/out of salon. Cons: She books up fast! more

My hair feels/looks so much better now! 12/22/2008

After several rounds of blonde highlights, my hair was dry and the color was blah. Shanna helped me go back to a more flattering color for my skin tone and gave me a cut that not only got rid of the unhealthy hair but that also framed my face nicely. I've gotten several compliments on the cut and color..and it's only been three days since my appointment. Shanna took the time to talk about what I wanted out of my hair and then set up a plan to continue my look as my hair grows out. Thanks so much!! more

Want to look and feel younger - then you need to go see Shanna! 12/17/2008

From the first contact with Shanna I knew I FINALLY found someone that understood the color of hair I was talking about. I walked in to her private salon room and immediately she asked if she could tell me what she thought she would do to my hair. She was spot on and after we were finished with my hair - I was so impressed that I had the exact color I was looking for and an updated haircut that was perfect for my face structure. I was asked by my coworkers what I did to make myself look so much younger and what I was doing to make my skin look healthier as well. I owe it all to Shanna! Looking for a complete makeover??? 12/14/2008

If your like me and you have ever wanted to have someone tell you what kind of cut and color would be perfect on you than I highly recomend Shanna. When I walked in I had blonde shoulder length wavy hair. She told me what she recomended and we went for it. I walked out with a mid lenght, layered bob and side swept bangs. She brought my color back closer to my natural color and now it is a reddish brown. I always thought I would look way to pale with that color, but she was right, it brought out the color in my cheeks. more

Wow! Best extensions, personal service, a perfectionist! 12/4/2008

I live in Houston, had extensions done here by one of Houston's best, but was not pleased with the results....not enough hair on the sides, not a good cut, and the color work left a lot to be desired. While visiting in Austin, a friend recommended Shanna, so I made an appointment for a color correction and blowdry. I expressed to Shanna my disappointment with my extensions and my hair in general and she immediately analyzed the problem and made suggestions. more

REPEAT CLIENT FOR EXTENSIONS 12/2/2008

If you are looking for a great hair stylist your search is over- call Shanna now. I actually drive over 80 miles to get my hair done with her. I had my extensions for about six months before I had them removed. And i could only live without them for a month-I missed them terribly. So back I went and Shanna worked her magic again. I've never received so much attention for my hair in my life. They look so real noone ever knows they are extensions. Shanna is also a sincere, professional, and personable stylist. What a RELIEF!! 11/22/2008

I just moved to Austin from the Seattle area, where I've had the same stylist for years. So moving to Austin meant finding someone who I could trust with my very fine, blonde, long, colored hair, and what a RELIEF that I found Shanna! I popped in to buy hair products and happened to meet Shanna and had a good feeling. My instincts were right, in fact she gave me the Jennifer Anniston, golden-colored locks I've always wanted and never quite had before AND it looks NATURAL (well as natural as colored hair can look). Plus she's really fun to BS with while she's makin' you gorgeous! I've already booked my next appointment! Thanks Shanna! more

Hair Magician 11/20/2008

Shanna took my boy short crop and turned it into a luxurious mane! Not only did she add seamless, amazing extensions with ease and tremendous skill, she colored my new locks and blended them perfectly. People who didn't already know me are shocked when I tell them I have extensions, and I continue to get compliments on the rich color and perfect bangs. I never thought I could be so thrilled with my hair! more

Fantastic Hair Cut & Color! 11/7/2008

Having recently moved to Austin from New York City, I knew it would be a challenge for me to find a hair stylist who knows how to cut curly hair correctly. My first two experiences with hair stylists in Austin were horrible. After getting my hair colored at one salon, I actually returned home to discover my roots hadn't been fully covered! Thank God I found Shanna Arciniaga at Grapevine Salons. I placed my faith in her to not only cut and color my hair, but to cut my very long hair to a medium hair cut with lots of layers. It came out just the way I envisioned it. I also took Shanna's recommendation as to which hair color I should switch to. I can't believe how soft my hair feels. When I got my hair colored in the past at other salons, my hair felt so dry for almost a month. But Shanna used high quality, professional products that left my hair feeling so silky. And there was no pressure to buy products. For the high quality hair cut and color that I received, the price was very reasonable. I feel like a new person with my hair. I LOVE IT!!! Thank you, Shanna! I'm a fan for life now! Pros: Easy to get to. Cons: None. more

I went and saw Shanna for coloring my hair. I was nervous to go back to my natural color but she reassured me it would look good. I am so happy with the outcome. I love being a brunette. I would recommend Shanna to anyone for color and cut. Although I have not tried the other services of hers, I am sure everything she offers is wonderful. Keep up the good work Shanna. more

Finally, a stylist I can stick with 10/20/2008

I've been seeing Shanna for over 2 years now -- and I've been somewhat of a hair stylist/colorist-commitment phobe previously. She listens to what you envision, but also helps guide you in new and flattering directions. Shanna does an excellent job with my color and of course she was the one I turned to for my wedding for hair AND make-up -- she did a wonderful job on me, my bridal party and my mother. Everyone kept saying we all looked so beautiful and I even had my girls in a bright coral!! more

Customer Service is Alive and Well in Austin.... 10/20/2008

What are the odds of a highly recommended color specialist (in another city/state) working you in (on her day off)-because you're going to be in the area (for two days only - starting the next day!) - just because you called and you needed help?? Well...they happened to be great odds!! Things really do happen for a reason, Shanna - I REALLY appreciate what you did for me and I'll be seeing you soon. It was definitely worth the 7 hour drive! Best Haircut with a great a conversation 10/15/2008

I went to get my haircut this weekend by the recommendation of a co-worker. I just moved to Austin and I left behind a great hairdresser. I have super fine hair that has seen some terrible haircuts over the years.....but not to worry Shanna gave me the best haircut I've ever had. I love it! My hair has so much body and texture which is something I've never been able to say! Now instead of drying and putting it right up into a clip, I wear down. I've gotten so many compliments. more

I recently went to see Shanna at Catena's hair salon and walked away loving my curly hair. The cut she gave me not only accentuates my curls, but is very stylish and fresh. I love my hair 10/1/2008

Shanna is awesome. I needed an appointment asap and she went out of her way to work me in for color and a hair cut. I am very, very, very protective of my hair and usually take about 15 to 20 minutes to tell the history of my hair and what I want done to it...and she listened to me and did exactly what I wanted :) My hair is an investment and I am so glad that I found Shanna. Austin needs more stylists like her! more
