I have lived in Los Angeles for almost 5 years and have tried several different salons and stylists and FINALLY I have found the right one. I first got a cut by Shaul a few months ago and have been going back every three weeks since. He does a great job, the prices are reasonable, and Shampoo itself is a fun, clean, hip atmosphere. more

Arturo is the best! If you want a stylist who listens to how you want your hair to be done, ask for Arturo. The first time I went to him I was amazed at how my hair turned out. I've been going to him for over 10 yrs now. I totally recommend him! more

ARTURO IS THE BEST! 8/29/2010

I love Arturo! He is a color and style mastermind so I know when I walk out I look fantastic. He seriously knows his color - he's made my dark hair every color of blonde at various times and without damaging my hair at all. He also is a whiz with his scissors. I don't go in with any cut in mind because I know he knows exactly what will look best on me. The best part is that his cuts can last weeks! Yes, he's that good. I've been seeing him for over 10 years and I won't go to anyone else. He really is the best! more

Arturo is a hair stylist genius! 8/26/2010

I have been going to Arturo for my hair for about 6 years now. I will not let anyone else touch my hair. My hair is not very easy to work with but he can make it look fabulous. I trust is opinion completely on what I should try as far as cut or color. He is very honest and great to work with. He makes you feel comfortable and relaxed. I would follow him anywhere. more

ARTURO is a Star Stylist! 8/10/2010

A few years ago, I asked my husband to find me a new haristylist for my birthday. Arturo was the best birthday present and it's lasted for years.\r \r He's always done a great job on my hair, understands my needs (no work between cuts), is super honest (would never suggest a dye treatment without me fully understanding and being ready for the long term committment), and will tell me if something I have in mind won't really work.\r \r On top of that, Arturo is friendly and courteous. That's an excellent quality to have for someone I plan to spend an intimate 75 - 90 minutes with.\r \r On top of that, the salon is hip and clean and comfortable. Parking isn't horrible on the street and there are some great shops & restaurants in the same area. more

Amazing Hair 5/6/2010

Ive been highlighting, lowlights, base coloring, single processing, triple processing my hair for about 13 years now and I have never been as happy with my hair as I am now. Shalom did an amazing job and recreated the color I had shown him in a picture -perfectly. I have gotten a zillion compliments and 3 or so people have already called and scheduled an appointment after two days of walking around with my new hair :). Def going back.... the color and extensions are amazing! Really nice people, fun, professional.... more

Chris did a fantastic job on my hair and made the whole experience a blast. I brought in pictures of what I liked and he used his expertise to customize it for me. Exactly what I wanted. He even gave me tips about doing my hair on my own. The salon is clean and sleek. The staff and patrons were friendly and smiling. I enjoy his company and trust his knowledge and experience. Best haircut i've got 11/16/2007

I grew up in La and never got a haircut like this. I called earlier that day and the secretary was very kind and schudeled me and appointment later that day. I returned a couple hours later and was kindly greeted by other customors and the kind hairstylists. One hair designer that made me feel comfortable as i walked in was Shalom, he sat me down and made me feel at home. I schudeled with Shaul because my friends previously recommended, he is a funny guy. Right after my soothing hair wash that i took before my haircut, Shaul set the chair height and made my seat comfortable. On the right of my comfy chair was sitting Robin Thicke. I was so shocked to see all the high class and famous people walking in and walking by. I will return ASAP to this salon and i remcommended many of my friends to come too. Pros: Kind secretary and hairstylists that make you feel at home. Schedule with Shaul and Shalom Cons: Traffic on the street but good parking in the back more

I lived in N.Y., Miami, and now L.A. and Shaul is the best. He is a master. I have a dificult head of hair and shaul makes me look like a star. Every time I call they get me in. As long as I live in L.A. I belong to Shaul. more

These guys are the best. I've been going to Shaul for years and prior to finding him I had tried almost every salon in town. He's such an artist this guy. I will come in there half the time not knowing what I want but trust he will fix me in the most flattering stylish look. I do refer to him as Edward Scissor Hands! After the guy who'd been doing my hair moved out of country, I freaked. But as fate would have it I was soon introduced to Josh at Shampoo on 3rd and am now HAPPIER THAN EVER. He LISTENS to what i want and always makes it BETTER than i expected. His cuts are fantastic, but his coloring is what really impresses the sh!t out of you. He doesn't make you look like some overdone LA wannabe. Josh is the real deal: i walk out of there looking sophisticated and fierce.\r \r *Oh and he's also totally hot. Shaul does the best haircut and color in LA.....If you wait as long as I do between visits to the salon, and still have your hair look amazing, now thats a great job!!! I started at Shampoo because of my good friend Inna but have kept going back based on consistent results and compliments on my hair! In this town where competition is tough and image can mean money.....you can't take a risk on your Hairdresser. So stop by SHAMPOO! Pros: service with a smile and a wink!
