Really, really aweful 5/1/2008

I recently moved to Hollywood and like the other reviewer always drove past the large painted sign advertising lobster for $12.95. I tried it tonight and had the worst meal I can remember, at any price, in Southern California. This restaurant does not stock fresh fish. Every one of the 20+ fish dishes is made from frozen fish and is not at all worth the (low) price. Service is very slow. My wife and I were the only two customers in the restaurant and one appetizer and two entrees took an hour and a half, plus the entrees didn't arrive at the same time. The restaurant has no liquor license so you're forced to wait aimlessly in silence (punctuated by Greek bickering from the kitchen) under the glow of flickering fluorescent lighting until your food finally comes. My once-frozen, grilled sea bass was edible but never something I'd recommend. The carrots and string beans on the plate were awful, gummy canned food with no flavor -- I could take only one bite. Tonight there was a piano player that played a tune about once every 10-15 minutes, but he eventually got bored and the waiter blasted CNN from a flat panel TV so loud that I couldn't hear a word from my wife across the table. We'll never be back. I would not be surprised if the next time I see the restaurant is on a Gordon Ramsay show where's he's revolted at the freezer and gunked up kitchen. Pros: Cheap, Parkiing Lot Cons: Horrific food, ambience, service more

yup, pretty sad and bad 6/28/2007

Well the one other reviewer is pretty on target. I went there having seen it many times and loving seafood. Maybe 3-4 tables full. One waitress, very friendly and chatty, but tired and old, sort of like someone in a movie. The food was strictly school cafeteria: white rolls, pats of butter, mundane veggies and salad. Can't even remember what I had but I too vowed to never go back. Sad place. more

PLEASE READ FOR YOUR OWN GOOD. DON'T EVER GO THERE!!! 4/3/2007

This place was the worst restaurant I've ever been to in my whole life! My boyfriend and I have always driven by it and was curious last night so we finally gave it a try. We should have taken a hint when they advertised steak and lobster for under $15. We waited for 15 minutes for the calamari appetizer to come out and when it did it didn't look right. We gave it a try and ate it anyway thinking that maybe it was a different style. It took another half an hour until our main courses came out and mind you there were no other customers in there except for us. I can understand when a restaurant is crowded and the food takes a little longer. It finally came out and it was COMPLETELY and UTTERLY HORRIFIC! But check this out...right before our main courses came out I swear we heard the microwave going off! They were totally cooking our food with a microwave! My mahi mahi was as hard as a card board! I know they did not cook it fresh. As soon as we took one bite of the food our tongues got some allergic reaction to it. My boyfriend had to run to the restroom to check it out. We decided not to live lives on the edge and decided to not even try to eat the steak and lobster. We put down $5 to pay for the calamari dish we ate and left the restaurant. I have never ever in my life had to deal with a situation like this before. I don't want to be cruel but this place needs to be shut down! I hope nobody else have to go thru what we went thru last night. This bad experience is the reason why I signed up to be a citysearch reviewer so I can get the word out. Cons: Bad food and service more
