Really, really aweful 5/1/2008

I recently moved to Hollywood and like the other reviewer always drove past the large painted sign advertising lobster for $12.95. I tried it tonight and had the worst meal I can remember, at any price, in Southern California. This restaurant does not stock fresh fish. Every one of the 20+ fish dishes is made from frozen fish and is not at all worth the (low) price. Service is very slow. My wife and I were the only two customers in the restaurant and one appetizer and two entrees took an hour and a half, plus the entrees didn't arrive at the same time. The restaurant has no liquor license so you're forced to wait aimlessly in silence (punctuated by Greek bickering from the kitchen) under the glow of flickering fluorescent lighting until your food finally comes. My once-frozen, grilled sea bass was edible but never something I'd recommend. The carrots and string beans on the plate were awful, gummy canned food with no flavor -- I could take only one bite. Tonight there was a piano player that played a tune about once every 10-15 minutes, but he eventually got bored and the waiter blasted CNN from a flat panel TV so loud that I couldn't hear a word from my wife across the table. We'll never be back. I would not be surprised if the next time I see the restaurant is on a Gordon Ramsay show where's he's revolted at the freezer and gunked up kitchen. Pros: Cheap, Parkiing Lot Cons: Horrific food, ambience, service more
