Kristi is FANTASTIC!!! I enjoy coming to the Samuel Cole Salon and it's modern atmosphere. I drive over an hour to have Kristi cut, color, and style my hair ~ and won't go to anyone else. I am a loyal customer because of her exceptional talent with coloring and enthusiastic but patient styling ability!! I am very picky but love to try new styles, Kristi always listens to what I want and my results are always awesome. more

Great salon - book with Kristi! 5/19/2012

First, I want to let it be known that I drive from over an hour away to come to this salon. I love it here - the staff is very professional and friendly. I'm always offered a drink to enjoy while I'm waiting. The products are great - Bumble & Bumble and Oribe. The atmosphere is upscale, clean, and trendy. It's like a mini-vacation! Kristi is fantastic. She's been cutting my hair for nearly two years now, and I've always been happy with what she does. She's especially great with color - I always get compliments on my highlights after I get my hair done. I can always trust her to do a great job - usually I will come in and tell her to do whatever she thinks is best, and I leave very happy. I always enjoy our conversations, and appreciate all of the tips and advice that she's given me on hair-care. I would recommend anyone with any hair type to book an appointment with Kristi K, and you won't be disappointed! more

Kristi is AWESOME!!! 5/18/2012

Like other reviewers, I first met Kristi at Salon Moxie, per a friend's referral. I was about to donate my long hair for Locks of Love and was a bit anxious about having a short hairstyle. She did a fantastic job, not only with the cut, but talking me through what she planned on doing and giving instructions for styling it at home on my own. I have never been one to stick to one salon or stylist until meeting Kristi. :) I have since had multiple cute, sassy, worry-free cuts/styles by Kristi, and always leave feeling like a million bucks!! Plus, she is one of the sweetest and most fun people I know. I'm happy to call her a friend. My entire circle of female friends, including my mom, are Kristi's clients, rave about her, and always look fabulous. I can't say enough great things about Kristi!!! more

No More Bad Hair Days!! 5/17/2012

I dread doing my hair for work everyday (I am a 5th grade teacher) so the usual pony tail is quick, easy, and never fails me. I made my first appointment with Carolyn after hearing from a great friend that she could help me ""re-vamp"" my look. Carolyn was understanding, professional, and a true master of hair. I left Samuel Cole feeling like a new woman. She helped educate me to figure out what products to use and how to style it even when I'm in a hurry before school in the morning. I will absolutely be going back in two months and I can not wait to have another date at Samuel Cole Salon! It is more than just a hair appointment; it is an experience. more

The service at this salon is amazing!! A nice upscale place with a very friendly atmosphere. JP is an amazing woman with a unique personality I felt I could relate to. The receptionists were of a great help, and Ashley reminded me of their great referral program. I highly suggest that you visit this salon, they make you feel apart of the family! more

I had a great experience at Samuel Cole Salon! The atmosphere there was very nice and relaxed. My stylist, Veronique, was just wonderful, with great attention to every detail! She listened very carefully to me and gave me recommendations as for my hair style when I asked her for them. She is highly skilled professional, she gave me an excellent haircut, it is hip and easy to style. She is also a top notch colourist, she matched my new colour with my old colour perfectly well! I would recommend her to a good friend without hesitation. more

Cara Is The Best 3/20/2012

I've always hated going to the hairdresser, comparing it to a visit to the dentist (necessary, but unpleasant). I found Cara about a year after I moved from England to NC. I had tried many of the top salons throughout London but was never particularly happy with the experience. Since I found Cara my attitude changed. Cara is able to understand, interpret and deliver consistently and with fantastic results. Consequently, following her from Moxie to Samuel Cole was a nobrainer. Moxie and Samuel Cole are great salons, but it is Cara that keeps me coming back - I recommend her very highly and unequivocally. Two thumbs up - eight if I had them! :) more

Michael Knight -- wonderful 3/16/2012

Michael was everything I had expected and more -- expert skills in everything that mattered to me -- from the consultation to the cut, color, styling, and interpersonal communication. I trust him with every aspect of my challenging hair. Carolyn Nord is AH-Mazing! 3/15/2012

Carolyn has been doing my hair for over a year, and has always done a fantastic job, creating a variety of beautiful blondes on me. I always just sit in her chair and ask her what I think we should do. A few weeks ago I came in for my monthly visit, and decided I wanted to try going dark. Immediately she so excited, and assured me how great it would look, with my hair and eye color, which is what I was hoping. She was willing to work me in around her other clients so I wouldn't have to come in another day. I love it! It's shiny, and natural looking. She told me it was ""natural but better,"" and I couldn't agree more. Even better, my husband loves it! I was nervous, since he has only known me blonde. I recommend her, and would trust her to do any color beautifully. I'm lucky to have found her! more

I first met Kristi when she was at Salon Moxie and I was cutting off 10+ inches off my hair to donate to Locks of Love! She was amazing then and over a year later I still go back to see her every couple months! She is truly a great stylist. She gets to know her customers, their likes and dislikes. She truly takes the time to understand what you're hoping to accomplish in your appointment! I've referred a few friends to Kristi and everyone has raved about how great she is! Definitely a top-notch stylist! more

Michael Knight saved the day! 3/9/2012

I am very impressed with Samuel-Cole Salon's staff. My daughter HAD to have major repair to her hair color after attempting to ""lift"" blue-black hair. It was late in the evening...and after making calls to severl ""other"" places in attempt to work her in, we tried Samuel Cole. We arrived at 7:00 pm and luckily, one very nice lady's client did not show, so she promptly worked my daughter in, consulted with Michael Knight and then applied color to ""even"" out her color - she was a life-saver. The second visit was to work the color fix - on Saturday she met with Michael Knight who took valuable time consulting with her and was fabulous. He was attentive, helpful and FANTASTIC with my daughter - her color is fabulous. We will return to Michael. He's a gem! more

Favorite Stylist Michael Knight 3/8/2012

I love Samuel-Cole salon! The people are friendly and attentive in a very relaxed atmosphere. The main reason I go is to see Michael Knight. He is the best stylist ever with a pleasant personality. He spent so much time in our consultation listening to me and asking me questions on what I wanted. His dedication to perfection shines through your hair! He added volume and texture that I didn?t even know I had. His recommendation on products and time spent with me has proven to work with the compliments I get. I have been back to Michael several times now and he is consistent every time. Thank you Michael for making me looks so fabulous!!! No one knows how to cut like you do. Michael Knight 3/6/2012

Michael is the most awesome stylist that Raleigh has to offer. I have very difficult hair. Not only is it thick, wavy, curly and coarse, but it grows in ""mysterious"" ways, due in part to my many ""cowlicks."" I have tried dozens of hairstylists and the only thing they seem to do to my hair is to cut it very short (which I hate). That is the first thing I always say when I sit down is not to cut it too short. more

Michael- a great stylist!!!!! 3/2/2012

I have finally found a GREAT stylist in Michael and LOVE my hair. He has given me a few wonderful cuts which has finally made me love my curly locks. He listened to me, gave me some great suggestions and I ended up with a style (complete with a great color and highlights) that I absolutely love!!! He is professional, friendly and clearly enjoys what he does which translates into a fully wonderful experience. He also cuts my 18 yr old daughter's hair and she is thrilled with her new shorter style. I highly recommend Michael and Samuel Cole Salon. Your search for a great stylist will be over once you meet him!!! more

Ask for ""Alexis"" Samuel Cole Salon is the best in Raleigh 2/25/2012

I have to say that my experience with Samual Cole exceeded my expectations. Top notch all the way. Not only was the decor like walking into a high end New York salon. The service was exceptional. I had a cut and natural highlights. ""Alexis"" is the best in Raleigh. She listened to what I wanted and did an ""Amazing"" job. If you are looking for a stylist she is your girl. Look no further. I have finally found what I have been searching for in all other salons for many years. I will be returning every time I need anything done with my hair. more

There's a long list of things in life I dislike. Paying 230 for highlights and a cut that look, well, bad is on it. I saw Michael. He was nice enough and based on our consultation I was confident he would do a great job. I went over in very specific detail what I wanted and what I didn't want. I pointed out some pictures in magazines and a woman in the salon that had the look I was going for; medium ash blonde, natural looking highlights. The highlights he gave were not even close to the color I originally wanted, but I decided not to make a big stink about it and give it a few days to see if it settled into something I liked since the change was rather dramatic. Three days later I hated it even more. My highlights were uneven and bright unnatural yellow. The positioning was good, so I'll give him credit where it's due, but the color was WAY off. Also, the cut he gave me was average at best and the blowout poor. I hate to say it, but I have never been to a man who can really do hair (they all seem to think they're amazing at it, though...). Anyway, I'm sure I could have returned and had the color corrected, but I probably did a better job at home with my $7.00 box of color. I wouldn't give him one star; I'm picky and he positions the highlights very nicely...but he's just not a 5 star stylist in my book. more

Love Color & Cuts with Kristi K 2/12/2012

I've been getting my color & cuts done with Kristi K for 1.5 years and it comes out fantastic every time! My hair is naturally dark brown, but I color it blonde and everyone I admit this to is surprised because the color looks so natural and my hair looks healthy. The cuts always come out great as well. I typically use the self styling station, rather than paying to have it blown out or leaving with it wet. I love that Samuel Cole has this! You also get to enter a monthly raffle each time you pre-book your appointment. I won a $75 gift certificate + 3 deep conditioning treatments!!! Highly recommended. more

Kristi K. is the best!! 2/10/2012

I have been getting my hair highlighted since I was probably 16 and I'm not exaggerating when I say that since I've been going to Kristi my hair looks better than is ever has!! The color just seems brighter and more flattering. I also really enjoy my layered cut, Kristi gave me some great tips on how to style it a little easier at home and I love the Oribe products she suggested. Not only is she talented at what she does but she is really friendly and so easy to talk to to, my visits feel like I'm catching up with an old friend. I have recommended her to all my friends and the ones that have had appointments so far love her too!! They have a great referral program so I get a credit any time someone goes in which is awesome. Kristi K. is great and so is Samuel Cole!! more
