Must Try 11/3/2008

This place is great. They have real authentic pastries. But if you don't have much of a sweet tooth, don't worry. They have great meals there too. This is a must if you're passing through White Center. more

Fantastico! 11/2/2008

This bakery is wonderful. You have the option of a wide variety of smaller pastry items. I have tried many of the varieties and I haven't found one yet that I didn't love! They also have cakes like the Tres Leches cake. My husband got me one for my 40th birthday and it was amazing! The third option is to have a meal in their sit-down restaurant. Their restaurant items include breakfast, and lunch items and are very good! I definitely recommend this bakery. more

White Center's Best Kept Secret 9/5/2008

This bakery is phenomenal. There's a huge selection of Latin American bakery items, mostly Salvadoran but a few other selections. Most every thing is really good - granted, most the items I haven't cared for I don't like anywhere but for the items I tend to like I have loved here. \r \r The tres leches cakes are phenomenal - good thing they're not cheap because that much cream, while insanely delicious, probably isn't the healthies to have except intermittently for special occasions.\r \r Occasionally the place is packed like after weddings (Catholic church is just down the street) but generally the pace is good. Some of the dishes, true to the style, are fried. So I enjoy the fried yuca but could not handle too much. Inca Cola from Peru is also available.\r \r Most people in the area love it. If you're in the White Center area check it out. Maybe not run as professionally as a French bakery but there are some great dishes and treats to take home. more

Get the plato guanaco 7/19/2008

Excellent Salvadorean food. If you've never tried pupusas, you must, thick tortillas with meat and cheese inside. The tamales are soft and flavorful. Just beware that since it is a small place and food is made to order, it can take time to get your food. Just know this in advance. The desserts are terrific too! Pros: Great lunches and desserts Cons: Wait time if they're busy more

Oh how I love this place... 2/17/2007

I come here to pick up a cake all too often it seems. Their tres leches cake is so scrumptious, that I now have my brothers begging me to ""try"" and make one myself so that they don't have to drive all the way out to West Seattle to pick it up. There are many other great things on the menu to try (depending on whether you are looking for something sweet or savory), but this cake is a definite must-try. Very milky and rich, it's definitely not for those who are trying to watch their figures (okay, well one bite won't hurt!). The family that owns this place is also very sweet and helpful as well. Pros: delicious baked goods more
