It is a great place to have hair extensions done. I would strongly recommend it to everyone. Nice place nice people and nice atmosphere, also nice interior design. Good location.

Bird Is the Word! 7/14/2010

I'm new to Seattle and I was dreading finding a new stylist. I had heard of Salon Chemistry from girls I work with so I booked an appointment with Bird. My highlights have never looked better! She said she didn't even use bleach. My hair is so soft! She updated my hair cut and now I look up to date, but still myself. I've never had such a great experience at a salon. I would recommend Bird to anyone! Pros: Best Highlights I've ever had! more

Boutique is the way to go! 10/5/2009

My ex had done my hair for YEARS. I was scared out of my wits to go somewhere else when I found out my ex was moving. I was referred here by a friend with impeccable taste so I bucked up and gave it a shot. I was NOT disappointed! dallas is a pro and is just an amazingly nice guy. As high-end as the place was they were all very down to earth. I will go back for more for sure. Pros: Great local, talented staff, friendly service, very clean Cons: paid parking more

I loved my cut color and extensions 8/12/2009

Omg! Lindsey is such an amazing hair stylist. I love my color and extensions I would never see anyone else. She is always upbeat and super friendly. I always feel so relaxed in Lindsey's chair. Even though she hasleft salon Chemisry and recently moved to a salon called Hedman's on Mercer Island I will follow her anywhere!!!! If you want an amazing color and cut go see Lindsey. Salon Chemistry 8/5/2009

Salon Chemistry is a great place, with good stylists, Dallas and Melissa have exceptional skills. Although Melissa Reetz has moved to Hedmans on Mercer Island. I am going to have to travel further for my extensions and color but it's going to be worth it. Pros: Extensions! and great cuts and color. Cons: Melissa Reetz is at Hedmans on Mercer Island now ;( more

Curly hair nightmare 8/4/2008

I came into the salon for a trim, and was immediately impressed by the friendly atmosphere. I talked with the stylist about how it's taken my thick wavy hair FOREVER to grow out, and how I have finally gotten it to a length and style that I like. She looked like she was listening. Apparently she wasn't. Because she then proceeded to ignore everything we talked about and spent a good 45 minutes destroying my hair with thinning shears until I looked and felt like a scraggly malnourished version of what it was only one hour before. Not only is it extremely thinned out, but because I have course wavy hair, the many different lengths created by the thinning shears have made taming frizz nearly impossible. This cut will literally take at least a good year to grow out. This might be a decent place if you have standard, easy to manage hair. But with curly hair, one type of cut does NOT fit all, and this place is not a place I would ever step into again. Pros: Friendly staff, good location Cons: Horrible hair cut. more

Best Blondes! 5/15/2008

Excellent service! The staff at Chemistry is so amazingly talented, and nice. I am at ease every time I walk in the door. My stylist is a perfectionist, and I never leave without looking my best. Dallas is amazing with blondes, and Melissa is awesome with extensions! I have never had a better haircut in my life! I HIGHLY reccommend Salon Chemistry! Pros: Fabulous L'Oreal products! I highly recommend this salon!! 9/9/2007

I have curly hair and it's usually incredibly difficult to find someone who knows how to cut it well. Salon Chemistry was taking part in a fund raiser and I thought I'd take a chance, so I read reviews and scheduled a visit with Melissa. Although it was 10pm on a Saturday night, Melissa (and all the staff) was really friendly and professional. Melissa gave me a fantastic haircut, and one of the best shampoos I've ever had (my favorite part of a haircut, if done right). I was totally impressed and will definitely be back! Pros: Amazing cut for my difficult curly hair. Cons: Can't think of one. more

Amazing 4/3/2007

I can not express how proffesional and fun of an environment it was at Salon Chemistry.. I am really picky, I have curly hair and never get good stylists. Missy is an amazing artist and I am very happy with my cuts and colors. My wife got extensions from Missy and has been back four times! Pros: Great people proffesional and talented stylists Cons: ..Stupid meter parking..but worth it more

Best Salon Ever! 3/30/2007

The salon is beautiful, non-pretentious, and centrally located. I went and saw Missy, who's amazing. My hair was wonderfully colored and I've gotten many compliments on it since. It was a very professional but relaxed environment and I'll definately be going back. Also, cheers to their new manager, Frankie. He's done a wonderful job taking some of the load off of Missy and Dallas. Pros: Everything! Cons: NA more

Best haircut Ever 3/30/2007

I went to see Lindsey here a few weeks ago. I don't normally write these, but when I saw the last review, I had to respond. Lindsey was marvelous. She was pleasant and chatty. I was offered coffee and plenty of reading material. She was very interested in finding out exactly what I was looking for, then shared her ideas with me before she started. I left feeling wonderful about myself and her. The salon is very clean and beautifully decorated. They should have called it Heaven. Pros: Great atmosphere, great music, very friendly staff more

Great, non-pretentious place to get a haircut 12/3/2006

This was a very comfortable place to get my haircut. Close to my house, with a very relaxed and comfortable environment. The woman who cut my hair was named Litty. I really liked her because she came up with a lot of different ideas when I didn't have any...I haven't been this happy with a haircut in a long time. The atmosphere at Salon Chemistry is great. Everyone there is super friendly and they know how to treat you right! Most times I'm offered coffee or tea which is awesome. If you want a really good hair cut, color, or style, make an appointment with Litty. She'll do just what you want, nothing more, nothing less. Even if you're not sure what you want to have done, she'll help you come up with something amazing. I've never been more satisfied with my hair than I am now. You'll walk out of the salon with fabulous hair, guaranteed! more

THE BEST CUT/COLOR IN TOWN! 10/20/2006

Generally, a stylist is either better at cuts or color but Dallas is amazing at both. He is such a perfectionist and his work is literally like a work of art. The salon is beautiful and is on its way to becoming the hottest salon in town. If you haven't seen Dallas, you must make an appt...IF you can get one! This guy is in high demand! Lily does great nails! 3/10/2005

If you are looking for a good job and reasonable price on a pedicure, manicure or acrylic fill, Lily is your gal. Her station is tucked away privately in the back of the salon and you might miss it if you didn't know it was back there. Oh, and she does waxing too!
