This was awhile ago, so maybe I'm behind the times, but I went to St Sabrina's for my first two tattoos. The first one was on the my lower back, and it is so scarred that the tatt...

The people working the counter should be fired. 11/19/2008

I used to go to St. Sabrina's for everything, clothing, piercings and tattoos. They have always been a little elitest, but since they moved, I can't stand to go in there. The counter staff are bitchy and just horrible. I do not need some condesending girl behind the counter judging me if I need a new navel barbell and don't know the exact size. I won't be going back, ever. Pros: nothing, anymore Cons: horrible service, over priced jewelry, over priced piercings more

Pretty Awful... 10/5/2008

I went to Saint Sabrina's to get my first tattoo a couple months ago. Overall the experience was average at best. The people working the counter should be fired. They are extremely pompous and rude and horribly judgmental. Once I managed to get past them however, it went pretty good. My artist (Jeremy) was really cool- my design was simple and he made me feel comfortable and did the job very nicely. I went back there a couple weeks ago to get my second tattoo. Again, the employees working the front desk were awful. They wouldn't let me talk to an artist about what I wanted and acted completely arrogant and rude. I wish so much that I could skip talking with those horrible people and just talk to Jeremy. I had a couple pictures and a clear idea of what I wanted my tattoo to look like and the girl at the front just flat out told me that they don't do custom work and that I should just pick something out of a book. Horrible customer service. I will not be going back to Saint Sabrina's again. Pros: Talented artists, atmosphere Cons: Rudeness more

BAD!!! 7/27/2008

I have been looking forward to getting my first tattoo. St Sabrina was recommended to me by a friend. I went in and looked around. I loved the atmosphere. It was clean and I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door. THe staff seemed very friendly. I looked around and decided I would make an appointment. They told me based on the tattoo I described to them I should come in on Saturday because no appointment was necessary. Great. I left and came back on Saturday. I arrived around noon and gave them my ID and filled out the necessary paperwork. I am now very excited and sit down to wait for my name to be called. I was 30 minutes away from my first tattoo or so I thought. I waited and waited and waited and waited. And then I waited some more. After an hour and a half I went up to the front desk to see what the status was. When will I get in?? The woman behind the desk told me about a half an hour. What? Are you kidding me? I was in disbelief and a little annoyed but I sat down and waited again. Another 30 minutes went by and still nothing. By this time I was angry and frustrated. I don't understand how they can tell you 30 minutes and not even be bothered to walk ten steps over to me to say what was going on or that it is going to take longer than expected. Something? Anything?? I got nothing. You fooled me this time but you won't fool me again. I will go get my tattoo someplace else but I will never go St. Sabrina's again. I wish there was an option to rate a big fat zero! more

Don't Bother 7/26/2008

I just spent most of a Saturday afternoon here. A friend was going for her first tattoo. She had checked out the place before, and tried to make an appointment, but they said that since she wanted a farily simple design, she should just walk in on a Saturday. Pros: Seemed clean, staff seemed knowlegable Cons: Other customer concerns caused us concern. Staff does not care about your time. more

WORST shop in the STATE!! 7/14/2008

I hope you never decide that your skin is safe in the hands of St. Sabrina. I went there armed with a portfolio of drawings and pictures and sat down with mike, the artist who was supposed to do my tattoo. I told him, in detail, exactly what I wanted and showed him MANY pictures and sketches. he gave me a time frame of one month and a price of $1800. After the month I called to see the progress on my drawing and he hadn't even begun it yet. I gave it another month and when I called back they said he was only partially finished I decided I wanted to see it anyway and it was nowhere NEAR what I asked for. What he drew was an eagle with a large head and paws when I was aiming for a dainty griffin. The wings were feathers when i had specifically stated that I wanted them to look more like wind gusts. the tail looked like a hawk tail, roughly 2 inches long, when I had given him handfuls of drawings of peacock feathers and made it very clear that I wanted the tail to be more peacock like and at least 6-8"" in length. I wrote down everything that was wrong, printed out the original pictures i had given him again and gave it 2 wks (since even my appointment date had now come and gone) I called back and he hadnt done a thing. I gave it another 2 wks (now 3 MONTHS for ONE drawing) I went in to see it and the only thing that he had changed was add more details in to the FEATHERS of the wings and made the hawk tail longer by roughly 2"". Pros: Sunken glory is cool. Cons: You'll probably be old anddying before you ever make it in to the tattoo chair!!! more

Don't waste your time or money 5/19/2008

My son went in on his 18th birthday. They took a $50 deposit for a $500 tattoo (more about that later) and scheduled him for a couple days later for a 7-letter word. He went in for his tattoo and brought his high school picture ID and his certified birth certificate. They would not accept his ID as proof of being 18 nor would they return his deposit. They should've verified ID BEFORE they took the deposit. I tried to call them using the number on their receipt: No surprise here, but the number was not a working phone number. more

not much saintly about it 4/12/2008

I would like to say that I enjoyed my visit to saint sabrinas however aside from the cleanliness, i was not impressed. My friend and I went into saint sabrinas about five days before my 18th birthday, to schedule our appointments for tattoos to be done on my birthday. We walked in and were told to look through the books for fonts and other interesting things. I wanted to get ""<3 aimer"" on my left arm as well as another small tattoo on my foot. First, i did not get to make mine very unique because they asked me to find a font i liked. Then as I asked the woman for a quote she passed the paper of just the ""<3 aimer"" to the man i suppose would have tattooed me, he took one glance at it and said $100. Did NOT look up at me, did not say his name, there was nothing personal about it. I sucked it up and put down my fifty dollar deposit, so did my friend, then we left. Later we heard about a different shop, we checked it out, and decided to call and cancel with sabrinas. although i lost my fifty dollar deposit, both my tattoos ended up being half the price. Seriously- my ""<3aimer"" tattoo is smaller than a paper clip! And if you decide to get a tattoo make sure it is a pleasant and friendly experience. I do not recommend sabrinas for that place. Pros: clean Cons: not personal more

St. Sabrina's 12/8/2007

I got my ears pierced by Jesika at St. Sabrina's. Jesika and the other staff were very nice and professional, and Jesika did a great job with my piercings. The piercing room at St. Sabrina's was very clean. I liked the modern design and bright red accents of the interior of St. Sabrina's. I'll definately go back to Jesika at St. Sabrina's if I want another piercing. Pros: Tattoo Artists, Staff, Professional, Clean Cons: Parking more

Saint Sabrina's : amazing facility, amazing people. Just down right AMAZING! 7/29/2007

I come once a year to MN from Kansas City. Every summer has some new fun find for me. This time it happened to be a fantastic place called Saint Sabrina's in Uptown. I knew I wanted to do something really fun, now that I had missed out on the Sounds of the Underground tour, and I was especially bummed about missing out on my favorite band = Darkest Hour. Well, I needed a pick me up. I decided to go out on a whim and get a new piercing. Realize that I have 4 facial piercings already, and it has been some 4 or 5 years since I have been stuck with a needle. So yea, I was nervous. By the time I made it to the top of the stairs to the first floor, i saw beautiful cases of jewelry and a WONDERFUL staff. Liz was so helpful and answered all my silly little questions. Jake, who pierced my cartilage for an industrial, was absolutely amazing. He shook my hand, answered my questions, talked to me which was ever so comforting. He was such a nice guy. The room he works in was on the second floor. Yea, a second floor which was just as beautiful as the first. His room was clean as can be. It had a lovely view of Hennepin Ave. I snuck a couple of peaks in the tattoo rooms, and everything was just lovely. The piercing itself wasnt terrible at all. I was completely surprised and throughly impressed. He answered the rest of my questions and then took a quick picture with me, which i greatly apreciated!! I cannot wait to come back to visit MN next year. I hope everyone i met today will still be there. Thanks guys!!!!!!!! more

Super helpful 6/7/2007

Best tattoo parlor i've ever been in 5/13/2007

I recently went to St Sabrina's to get snake bites on my lips and I LOVE IT. I cannot wait to go back there and get my libret pierced as well as an angel kiss on my upper lip and nose pierced (as well as a few tattoos). Jesika did my piercing and she is just amazing! She made the symmetry perfect and she was so nice and comforting and calming. I love the over all atmosphere of St Sabrina's and its located in a great place and is a beautiful place. I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone who wants quality work. Pros: Almost everything Cons: parking more

Only place to go. Period. 3/8/2007

I am an 18 year old who has recently become OBSESSED with piercings, and soon to come, tattoos. I have had my tongue, nose and upper and lower navel done at St. Sabrinas and couldn't be happier. The staff is amazing at giving you what you want. They are not afraid to tell you when something won't work on you, or if it's just not safe. They want you to be 100% satisfied with their work so you will come back again and again. Skot has done 3 of my 4 piercings, and is one of the greatest guys in the whole world. For the folks that fear the needle, no worries here. Nothing is done without in depth explination and your ok before they do their thing. CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN! It's like being in a really awesome looking hospital room! Pros: Fabulous customer service, Cleanliness like no other, Friendly staff, New location Cons: Little bit higher prices, A little hard to find. more

Great piercer's 5/24/2006

I got my tregus's done 5 yrs ago. Then I went back a couple yrs ago and got both of my lower lobe industrials done, Jessika, did an amazing job, and she's super friendly. She can put any of those freaked by needles at ease. Now if only I could figure out a tat, I'll get that done there as well. As the ones I have seen were amazin. Pros: Cool Staff, parking, atmosphere Cons: None yet more

Good place 2/14/2006

After going to three different local tattoo parlors, I think St. Sabrina's is the best. Really laid back but very clean. Walk in Saturdays are really cool, no appoinment needed and no appointments taken. I also got my nose pierced there, the guy is bug and tough looking but he's really nice. I'm going back to Claudia for my next tattoo for sure. Pros: Cool people, Lots of talent, Good hours Cons: Parking sometimes more

Ah. Needles. 9/15/2005

I've gotten 5 tatts and 2 piercings don in the Purgatory... and haven't had a problem with any of them. All of the artists will draw you what you want, over and over again until its perfect. All of the tatt artists have at least 10-15 years of experience, and the piercers have impressive resumes as well. The clothes is extremely over priced- don't ever go here for clothes. However, sunglasses are original and reasonably priced, and free parking is available right on the side of the building (hard to find in Uptown area). Pros: Tatt/piercing safe, free parking, gauranteed jewelry Cons: spendy threads more

Good Tattooing, okay products. 9/6/2005

Saint Sabrinas is a large local Tattoo and body piercing location. They have a large staff of tattoo artists that are quite capable and interested in working with you on your tattoos. The main gripe I have with the store is their somewhat overpriced jewelry. more

Professional Staff, Reasonable Prices 6/20/2005

This Uptown tattoo and piercing parlor has a highly trained staff, including piercers who are all accredited members of the Association of Professional Piercers. They offer a full range of piercing services and a wide selection of jewelry to choose from. There is also a clothing store offering a variety of club-type clothing, accessories and footwear. more

St. Sabrinas -- great for your first tattoo/piercing experience! 6/2/2005

With a cool retail store downstairs and piercing and tattooing services upstairs, St. Sabrina's is the best place to go for a tattoo or piercing. The tattoo artists are clean, knowledgeable and friendly. You have to make an appointment for a consultation and then an appointment for the tattoo itself. They stress only the best hygiene for tattoos or piercing and have a wide assortment of tattoo designs and piercing accessories. The tattoo artists will also draw anything you want and consult with you on what colors, designs, etc will look best on your skin. I felt very comfortable and taken care of during both of my tattoos there. You don't feel rushed, foolish or insecure - they are friendly and willing to help! If you are getting your first tattoo, this is the place to go. All of their staff is knowledgeable when it comes to aftercare and the art of tattooing/piercing. They are more than willing to answer any questions you have and you can stop by any time to ask a question abo more
