Best

Everyone here is very nice. My only suggestion would be to have a clean simple way to display range rules.

Worst

I had been going here for about 3 yrs from a recommendation from friends. We have all left one by one. Dr. Fischer was my provider she was capable but not pleasant. I was not look...

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST PRACTICE EVER 4/16/2008

I have never written a review on citysearch but was compelled to do so after my horrible and threatening experience. This place is an inefficient, negligent practice with an incapable staff. i am appalled that it remains as busy as it is with it's RUDE doctors, especially Heidi Rosenberg. I was meant to receive a simple bl**d test one afternoon after i found out i was 5 weeks pregnant. excited by my news, i was called in to Murray Hill to get my bl**d drawn. The place was so busy, people were upset and had been waiting for hours - a common experience I had noticed on my annual visits. My name was called, I was asked to sit down in a seat and then the needle came out - i looked away and before i could say anything i realized she was GIVING ME A SHOT instead of DRAWING MY BL**D. When i asked what was going on - she said aren't you Michelle and I said NO. Then she said ""oops you just got the first shot to the vaccine Gardasil"" Cons: too many to list. this is a terrible place more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRACTICE! 4/14/2008

I have never before written a review for citysearch. My experiences with this practice compelled me to warn other women to STAY AWAY. This is the most unprofessional office I have ever encountered! Not only is their website inaccurate (hours are wrong, medical providers inaccurate), but their telephone number/answering service is nonsensical. I tried for THREE hours today to reach someone because of a UTI. I tried every option in their phone system with NO LUCK. I had my pharmacist try, no luck. Why I could not reach a nurse or receptionist, I'm not sure. At 4pm, I was somehow put through to their answering service, I explained my problem (pain) and finally got a call back from one of their receptionists who told me that I needed to come in to the office but then wouldn't give me a clear answer on their office hours today/tomorrow. When I was in tears because no one can see me or write a prescription tonight, I asked if I could go to the ER, she just stayed silent. This tops off the horrible experience I had with Kate, the nurse practioner. I was her first appointment of the day for my annual and she was already rushed and harried. Her exam made me feel violated. She was extremely judgmental and gave me no time to ask any questions (breast cancer is in my family). I have NO idea how this place stays in business. My only guess is that unsuspecting women try it because of its location and never go back. STAY AWAY! and spread the word. I am considering reporting them given their unprofessionalism. more

Dr. Fischer is Horrible 3/6/2008

I saw Dr. Fischer for the first time today, and she is horrible. I was crying within 5 minutes of being in her office. Upon arrival, I overheard the staff talking about how overbooked she was, and she obviously just wanted to get me in and get me out. I was coming to her for help with a recurrent yeast infection, which anyone can imagine is not a fun problem to have. But she cut me off repeatedly while I was trying to answer her questions and treated me in a completely rude and uncaring way. She didn't listen to me and scoffed at several things I said. Once I started crying she tried to act kind, but it felt completely fake. I didn't want to let her give me an exam, but I thought, well, I took off work for this, and I needed my yearly. It was the worst, most painful exam I have ever had, and 5 hours later, I am still hurting from it. Do not go to this woman. Cons: Rude Doctor Who Didn't Listen and Gave a Painful Exam more

NEVER EVER AGAIN 2/25/2008

I'm been going here for about 2 years now and I have finally reached my last straw with this place. While I was pregnant I was treated like a waste of there time. More than once I had to go to the emergency room and when the doctor would finally arrived she would be rude and just want to hurry up and leave. During one of my visits I had to take a test and when I saw the doctor a week later she had no clue what i was talking about and when she finally decided to call the lab she was told i had a very bad kidney infection! They don't keep on top of the Test they make you take! Then when my daughter was born I had the worst experience. Among other things that happened during my delivery Dr. Heidi Rosenberg SCREAMED AT MY HUSBAND FOR taking pictures of our daughter as soon as she was born. Finally today was the last Straw. I called before coming in to make sure I could just come in as a walk in for a UTI. When I got to Murray Hill the receptionist had an attitude and tried to turn me away saying they no longer saw walkins. Then after I told her I spoke to her a half hour ago she said oh and gave me a cup and walked away. When I got back she was busy on the phone then proceeded to tell me can I help you i said i just spoke to you and you told me to give this back to you. She said I don't recall that but ok thanks we will give you a call. I HAVE A UTI AND I AM IN PAIN HERE AND YOUR TELLING ME I HAVE TO GO HOME AND WAIT FOR YOUR CALL. I could not believe I ONE couldn't see a doctor ( I mean what if something else was really wrong with me, and TWO was told to go home and they would CALL ME! They didn't get the prescription into my pharmacy till 1 in afternoon meanwhile I was there at 8 in the morning. BUT HERE IS THE BEST PART I picked up my meds and there was only one BOTTLE the antibiotic no PAIN KILLER! Thank goodness I looked it up online and found one that you can get over the counter! But enough is enough they have now lost yet another patient! Cons: RUDE RUDE RUDE RUDE more

Would DEF! recommend 12/25/2007

I have been going to MHOBGYN for two years now and am shocked by the negative reviews. I have never had a bad experience yet. I see the nurse practioner Tiffany krajicek and would highly recommend her to anyone. Infact I have to several friends and they have all been happy so far. Tiffany is very professional but is also personable so that you feel comfortable with her. She is always patient when answering my questions and takes her time durring the visits. The nurses have also been very nice. I think the only slightly negative thing I could possibly say is that the reception staff can be a little short with people, but I over look it to have a practioner I trust.! I would suggest the people who are unhappy with Fischer to switch to Tiffany! more

AVOID!!! 10/10/2007

Thisa place went down the tubs fast! I used to see Dr. Rosenberg and I have to say that I never had any problem with her.She delivered my son in 2004 and was wonderful. HOWEVER most other doctors in that practice are rude, negilect and act as if you are wasting their precious time. If you have been a patient long enough you will see how often the doctors change - except for Rosenberg & Fischer, and the nurse practitioner. THe staff is a total joke. They will leave charts in the folder with the doctors sitting in empty examining rooms wondering where their patients are??? You always have to wait over an hour to be seen. They recently tried to charge me $100 for a now show when I called the appointment line and left a messge that I needed to cancel well in advance. You never get a real person on the phone and when they do return your call its days later! My niece ended up in the ER due to Rosenberg & Archabald's negligence. Many doctors have several mal practice cases against them - most recently Rosenberg for negligence! It seems to me that they ""cattle"" in more patients than they can handle fo rthe co-pays! I would never ever recommend to anyone and wish I would have found these reviews along time ago!! Cons: Rude staff, neg. doctors, low qaulity care more

WARNING MURRAY HILL OBGYN is HORRIBLE 5/17/2007

Husband: My wife was a patient of Murray Hill OBGYN while she was having our first child. Because I have a really hard time getting out of work to accompany here, I was not able to make it to her first couple of visits to Murray Hill OBGYN. After the first visit, my wife told me she was NOT happy. Being that it is only 2 blocks from our apartment, I kept insisting that she gives them a chance. MY BIGGEST MISTAKE. After 3 more visits, she said if I don't go with here she was changing. I accompanied here to a visit with Dr. Ilene Fischer and I felt so so sorry I never believed her. Try asking her ONE question. The woman flips out on you. She did not spend more that literally 5 minutes and rushed out. Absolutely NO NO NO consideration. Rude as can be. My wife IMMEDIATELY change to Downtown Women, who are also at NYU hospital and, let me say THANK GOD!!!!!!!!!! We couldn't have been happy with the incredibly sweet, caring, experience, and professional doctors in the practice!!!!! Even the secretaries and nurses are all WONDERFUL. If you are with Murray Hill OBGYN. I would urge you to change!!!!! Research the doctors. One or two have had law suites and were found guilty of mal practice. It is all about money money money to them and no consideration to the patient. Pros: NOTHING GOOD Cons: Rude, wont answer any question, atittued, high C-section rate, immpatient ma practice suites more

DO NOT GO HERE!! Rude, incompetent and voicemail during emergencies 5/11/2007

My wife, who is now 7 months pregnant, has just switched doctors. We have had a few legitimate medical emergencies and they never answer the phone. All you get is a recording that tells you to call 911. You have to pretend to make an appointment to talk to someone in person who can't even put a doctor on the phone. When you do go in there, you have to wait a half hour after the scheduled appointment to see anyone. Perhaps they have way too many people but I'll never know why. 3 of the 4 doctors have absolutely no bedside manner and it's almost like they don't like people. I WOULD NOT GO HERE. AND DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND TRANSFER OUT IMMEDIATELY!! Pros: Near my home, but otherwise nothing Cons: Rude, incompetent and not available during emergencies more

Don't even think about it 5/7/2007

Terrible terrible terrible...These are the worste doctors I've ever had to deal with. My wife is pregnant and this is supposed to be the happiest time of our lives and we should be looking forward to the gift of life that we are expecting in October. Unfortunately, my wife has be brought to tears three times by this doctors office...whether it's fouled up scheduling which she was blamed for (but wasn't her fault), or nurses yelling at my wife on the phone, it's always something. I really don't know why these people go into medicine if they dislike it and dislike people so much. What the hell is so hard about showing some compassion to your patients...let alone actually seeing them face to face for more than 5 minutes over the course of a 9 month pregnancy. Pros: Massages and Manicures Cons: Treat patients with disdane more

Would absolutely not recommend Murray Hill OBGYN 5/7/2007

Practice is overcrowded with too many patients. Receptionists and nurses known to hang up on patients because they have too many calls waiting and/or are frustrated. Appointments are ""lost"". Doctors rarely grace patients with their presence instead sending others, mostly incompetent in their place. If a doctor does show up, 5 minutes at most is available, and manner is arrogant and abrupt. Would absolutely not recommend Murray Hill OBGYN. more

I'd rather be delivered in a cab by a police officer. Don't trust this practice with a bad reputation. 4/3/2007

I am so relieved to see these reviews. I thought I was alone in receiving apalling care from this practice. The list of offences is so long as to seem a bit unbelievable, so i'll mention only a few; Pros: Appear to be all licensed to practice medicine Cons: Negligent, don't respond to questions, are are downright nasty more

RUDE RUDE RUDE 1/23/2007

I didn't even make it through to my appointment, but I can tell that I made the right decision to cancel. Every time I have talked to the staff on the phone, they have been nothing but rude and unaccommodating. Because of their behavior, I had no choice but to cancel. I am SO happy that I made the choice to see another OBGYN. And based on the other reviews (the one person who had something nice to say, must have been drugged), it seems like an awful establishment. Cons: rude and short tempered more

Quick, Easy, Thoughtful 10/5/2006

I recently graduated from college and after moving to the city needed to find a new obgyn. I stumbled across Murray Hill Obgyn. as they are right in my neighborhood. It was easy to get an appointment that same week while other places couldn't take me for months. After reading the reviews I was nervous, but I went this morning and found that the staff was friendly and the doctors were particularly chatty and thoughtful. Maybe all of the negative comments have really made in impact in the office, but I would reccomend this place to anyone. Pros: Chatty, Fast, Considerate more

DO NOT GO HERE- YOU CAN DO BETTER rating -0 9/28/2006

Reasons why I will never go back here: Pros: Nice Decor Cons: Everything else: more

Poor Bedside manner 7/8/2006

As a physician myself, I know and understand how physicians should behave. I have been a patient at Murray Hill OB/GYN (Dr. Ilene Fischer specifically) and feel compelled to let others know to avoid this clinic. I have been extremely disappointed with Dr. Fischer and the generally rude/abrupt staff. Dr. Fischer needs some serious work on her bedside manner. She does not respond to questions in an appropriate manner, shows no compassion, and lacks in empathy. From personal experience, in medical school we are taught that patients most value kind doctors that answer questions and behave in a compassionate way. It is not always just pure knowledge that makes one a ""good doctor"". I do hope that someone in the practice takes note of this. And I do hope Ilene Fischer takes this into account-from one physician to another. Please change your attitude. Cons: Poor bedside manner more

Office staff needs overhaul! 2/26/2006

I have been a patient of Dr. Fisher's since before she joined 2 other doctors to open MHOBGYN. I have 3 children--all with this practice. I have seen the office staff go from a wonderful and caring group of women to what amounts to nothing more than your average civil servant attitudes. Uncaring, uncompassionate, and no brain activity whatsoever. After seeing Dr. Fisher for the past 14 years, I called in with a problem, only to be told I can have an appt. in a month! Now they are branching out into ""aesthetics"" (skin rejuvenation). I think their priorities are in the wrong place--for a medical practice. Sorry, doc--time for me to move on. Pros: Competent doctors, Nice offices, in-house sonograms Cons: Office Staff, Office Staff, Office Staff more

Feedback on staff of the practice 11/16/2005

On 11/16/05, I left a message with the administrator of the practice on a previous voice message for a prescription refill. She called me at 4:30 pm and said that I called the wrong line for a prescription and spoke non-stop and would not give me a chance to tell her why I called her line. When she finished, I asked her if she would listen to my explanation and she said that she didn't have time as she was in the midst of a meeting. I told her never mind. Shortly afterward, Marjorie, a refreshingly nice staff of the practice, called to apologize and took my prescription info and assured me that she would take care of it. I told Marjorie that CitySearch already had negative feedback on the staff of the practice and that they should take this into account. Pros: Excellent doctors, Convenient location Cons: Attitude of some staf more

DO NOT GO HERE. 9/7/2005

While the doctor's are good enough, the staff is horrible. THREE MAIN REASONS NOT TO GO HERE: 1) Recently when rescheduling an appt, the receptionist neglected to remind me of the $100 cancellation fee they'd penalize me with. When I complained later that I wasn't reminded of it, the gen. administrator complained about not making enough money, then rolled her eyes at me and insisted that they told me. 2) Staff ASSURED me my birth control perscription would be called in on a Friday. It wasn't, so I went the weekend without starting it. 3) Called the Nurse Hotline at 6pm one night with a UTI. My call was returned almost FOUR HOURS later. I was in so much pain by then I could hardly get to the pharmacy. The attitude and practice of the staff is horrendous. Find another place! Pros: Dr. Magherini Cons: Horrible admin., Wait time, Bad nurse hotline more
