My wife and I went there for our 1st year anniversary, we were not asked if the dinner was a special occasion, which we were somewhat disappointed. We were waited on promptly and the atmosphere was very nice. We both ordered Fillets promised as melt in your mouth. But when are food showed up the steak while huge was sub par. Over peppered and very little flavor. Our baked potato was inedible and they quickly replaced it for another side dish. Pricy and not worth it. In all go else where for a nice romantice dinner if you want flavor in your steak. Pros: atmosphere Cons: average food, pricey more

Wonderful!! 10/16/2002

The best steaks in the area! Service is always prompt and the wait staff are very knowledgable. The bar keeper's know wines and always are willing to recommend a wine, or offer a cocktail choice. I have been here numerous times and will return. Ruth's Chris is an excellent restaurant which offers consistantly good service and food! To the manager and staff, keep up the fine work! Great party 9/24/2002

We went with a large group of my husbands colleagues. There were about 25 of us. We had a nice private room with our own wait staff. Food was excellent. Everyone raved over their dish. more

Just enough, not too much 8/22/2002

My most recent experience at Ruth's Chris reminded me of how good service can be when the waiter is knowledgeable, courteous and attentive -- but doesn't hover. The food was served with the familiar ""sizzle"", the water glasses were never empty -- but we never felt our conversation was rushed or interrupted. Burnt 8/20/2002

Worst Steak experience I ever had, No comparison to Angus Barn. Send steak back 3 times to get it right, never did, last time charred. Offered not much in resolution, Manager not too happy that we complained. First and last visit to here, greatly overpriced. more

A Steak to Remember 8/7/2002

The prepare a great steak that is well seasoned, tender and cooked to order. The process that is taken to prepare their steak attributes to the excellent taste. The first step is to cook the steak slightly in an oven at extremely high temperture to seal in the juices and then remove it and cook to order. I have never been to a steakhouse that served steak this good. It had a wonderful taste and very tender. We also had the potatoes and asparagus which were cooked to perfection. The stone crab legs were served for the appetizer and were fantastic. I cannot complain about any part of our meal. The service was fantastic. Great serving staff. Ruth's Chris also has a wonderful wine list. Pros: Service, Quite atmosphere, Excellent Food taste more

I grew up in Texas and know great steaks. This is a wonderful restaurant to dine at. It lives up to the reputation of its name. Contrary to what many people say, Angus Barn is greatly over-rated. more

All-in-One!!! 7/18/2002

My first experience at Ruth's Chris Steak House was a memorable one. From the foyer to the table, I was very impressed. Granted the prices were high, but it is no higher than Sullivan's or Angus Barn. The appetizers were delicious, salads were huge portions, and the steak was outstanding! I eat steak often and have dined at many steak houses, this is the best I have had! The creme brulle was a good way to finish off a fine meal. The service was impeccable and my overall rating in comparison to Sullivan's or Angus Barn, there is none... more

Three of My Top Five 7/6/2002

I have taken the time to rate some of best dining experiences in my life. Everytime I've dined at a Ruth's Chris it makes the list and the last three times I've been to Ruth's Chris restaurants (Dallas, Maui, and most recently Raleigh) it seems to keep getting better. This establishment in Raleigh was the most romantic experience of all and had an attentive wait staff with an impeccable sense of timing. My wife is a ""jello"" but she loved the Crème Brulee. We have to drive three hours to get there but we will be back this year. Pros: Consistent Service, Best Steaks Anywhere, Overall Experience Cons: Price more
