The plumber that came to our home from the Babylon office was very professional. Our basement flooded from a sewer back up on a Saturday morning, they came within an hour of our call. He explained what he was doing and the reason for it and also encouraged us to check with our homeowners insurance coverage, which will cover our loss. He also was able to recommend a company to help with clean up. The price was also reasonable, and they take all forms of payment. more

One day, our shower drain and toilet decided they'd had enough! Black gook was coming up out of the shower drain when we flushed the toilet .....our pipes were so clogged. With 4 kids and 2 adults living in the house, we needed to get it fixed fast. My husband called Roto-Rooter and we had a plumber in our house in less than an hour. He was very calm, and knowledgeable, and explained all that needed to be done....They showed us on camera how our pipes were clogged with roots from the tree outside our house. Everything was cleaned up in no time, and was reasonably priced. I would definitely call them again if I need them...they are professional, and well trained. more

As first time customers of Roto-Rooters my husband and I couldn't be more satisfied with the service provided by our serviceman on call. After discovering that we had a serious plumbing emergency on our hands at 4am we called Roto-Rooters ASAP. They were the only place that advertised 24/7 service that we could actually get a live person to assist us with our situation in our neighborhood in Port Jefferson Station, NY. The plumber (Josh) came within 45 minutes and our problem was solved within 2 hours from start to finish. He was very friendly given the early time he had to pay us a visit. In addition to his pleasant demeanor, he was also very informative. He gave us a list of all the things we should not be using in our system (i.e. flushable wipes and bleach tablets, etc.), which is something we definitely wouldn't have given second thought being that all those products claim to be safe for septic tanks. Our over all experience was top notch and we are very satisfied that our children awoke and weren't even aware that there was any problem in the first place. Best of all the service is guaranteed for 6 months. It gives us great confidence knowing that they will come back and fix any future problems for free during the warranty period.A+ service. I HAD A PROBLEM WITH MY CESSPOOL LINE. IT WAS BACKING UP.I MADE AN APPOINTMENT ON LINE. IT WAS VERY EASY AND CONVENIENT TO DO. I MADE THE APPOINTMENT FOR THE FOLLOWING DAY WHICH WAS SAT 4/02/2011. THEY CALLED ME 40 MINUTES BEFORE THEY CAME. THEY WHERE ON TIME ARRIVING AT 8:20. BILL AND CHRIS CLEARED THE LINE IN NO TIME. BUT THEY USED THE CAMERA AND SHOWED ME THAT THE LIN WAS BENT.THIS RESTRICTED THE FLO OF WATER. THEY SUGGESTED THAT WE REPLACE THE LINE. BILL GAVE US A PRICE AN WE AGREED. IT TOOK THEM ABOUT 3 HOURES TO DIG UP THE OLD PIPE AND REPLACE IT WITH A NEW ONE.THEY WHERE VERY NEAT AND PROFESIONAL. I WOULD RECOMMEND ROTO ROOTER TO ANYONE. IT WAS A PLEASURE TO HAVE BILL AND CHRIS DOING THE JOB FOR US. more

...with the continued quality service I receive from Roto Rooter...whether I call for a repair in the middle of the night or the middle of the workday, technicians are timely and courteous and often go above and beyond my initial request...My husband and I came home from our yearly date with the accountant..as soon as we arrived home, the babysitter literally ran out the front door, barely pausing to collect her money...As soon as I heard my husband cursing downstairs, I realized she was hightailing out of there before the ark came...the downstairs toilet was overflowing; the upstairs tiolet, i guess in sympathy with his downstairs buddy, was also overflowing...at 11:00 friday night...I called and was informed a technician would be there within the hour...Josh (#348) promptly arrived and began the arduous task of finding the main line, and snaking it out...while he was rooting about the crawl space, he noticed a very dangerous situation and informed me immediately...he said, and I quote, ""i wouldn't sleep well not informing you of that issue."" After he creeped and crawled and snaked out the main line, he determined we needed to have the cesspool drained...and as we requested, the technicians for that task arrived before eight AM saturday morning...Marty was prompt, and courteous and so helpful...the thing i like best about your guys, they talk to me like I am a real person...they don't talk to me like i don't know or couldn't possibly understand plumbing...they take the time to explain the issue, they lay out all the options and do the most professional work ever...i use them any and ever time i have a plumbing issue and i recommend them highly to all my friends and neighbors... more

When contacting Roto-Rooter I didn't no what to expect ie: customer service, pricing, etc. When technician#50-51 Sherwin serviced my home he was very friendly, passionate, and had great patience. I would recommend Roto-Rooter to anyone dealing with plumbing issues and I would demand they ask for techinican Sherwin. more

I had a leaking heater pipe in our living room. I had tried myself to drain the heating system but the water was still in the pipe so I couldn't sweat it to replace the piece of pipe that had a hole in it. I called Roto-Rooter (it was Superbowl Sunday) from the Babylon, NY office and the plumber (Josh #348) arrived in about 20 minutes. It was a bit involved so it took nearly 2 hours to complete but he fixed it solid. I was able to watch the game without worrying about that leak any more. Solid job! more

My husband and I noticed that our drains were clogging in the bathroom tub and sink so we decided to call Roto-Rooter in Babylon, N.Y. From the time of our initial call to completion of service our experience was quite satisfying. We were quite concerned initially about getting the issue resolved because it was late on a Sunday but the plumber arrived in a very timely fashion. He was friendly while still remaining professional and meticulous while working. It was difficult to identify the problem and he was patient and thorough, troubleshooting until he identified it.
