I found Rodolfo Valentin Salon from Citysearch with great reviews so I went there and had my extensions done to give it a try. As I opened the site again to post my great experience and happiness about this extension that I just got, I was so surprised to find a bad review that is totally opposite to the reality. Let me tell everybody that Rodolfo Valentin hair infusion is not expensive as what the review is saying. On the contrary, it is much cheaper compared to the other extensions that you have to throw away in the garbage everytime you need to move them because this hair infusion is reusable. I love Rodolfo's Salon its Awesome. I love to color my hair Copper red, Blonde, Black, etc. I just love to change my look . Ihad got my hair done somewhere downtown and they did a terrible job. i went back to the salon and ask them to fix it and they did but messed up again. I went to rodolfo's and i loved it he gave me a great look my highlights came out great the base color and everything. He's the greatest, his staff was warm, attentive and the place was very nice. Trying to find which one is the best hair extension is not easy and much difficult is to find the best hair extension salons! Very tangled trying to decide between which one is the best hair extension and which one is the best hair extension salon I got lost in the beauty jungle without realize that the right answer was right there just a block away from my apartment in Park Avenue. While having lunch at the Nello Restaurant I was watching beautiful people coming in and leaving with great hair from the door next to the restaurant. I rushed to finish my lunch and I left my husband waiting in the table while I walked into Rodolfo Valentin salon. He was right there in the reception desk talking to one of the front desk people, he immediately look at me and comment “you are at the right time in the right place”, I felt in love! I have been at almost, if not all the places that specialize in hair loss replacement and I can name several dozens of them located in New York, New Jersey, even outside\r the US , before I met Rodolfo Valentin back in 1985. It was when my life completely changed and my eternal nightmare finally came to an end! Back then, Rodolfo Valentin used a type of hair very similar to my texture and color to create something similar to what is today the hair extensions but totally made by hand. It used to take several weeks to have them ready, but they were absolutely great and it was called fusion hair. A few years ago, he changed the trade for a membranewhere the hair was inserted one by one (also by hand) and he named it hair infusion additions. It will be 26 years I am using Rodolfo’s techniques and I will never change it. I must admit that I made a big mistake last year enchanted by the misrepresentations that abound around the internet that pushed me to ending up betraying Rodolfo for the first time in 26 years when I tried the extensions in another place that promotes and vows to have and to be the best hair extension salon in the world. BIG MISTAKE, but thanks to the great heart of Rodolfo that he accepted me back . First of all I would like to say that I never write reviews anyway I had the best hair experience at this in my opinion the best NYC hair salon of Rodolfo Valentin. I really needed a good haircut since I was not happy with my previous haircut and the hair stylist that did it. My co-worker mentioned to me that she was going to Rodolfo Valentin from the past 10 years and she will never use somebody else. Feeling uneasy she made the appointment and came along. Marisha was to be my hair stylist and when I arrived we began talking about what to do with my hair. Then Rodolfo get closer to us to say hello, he made me feel extremely comfortable, he is very kind and friendly, and a glass of champagne was offered to me. I let Rodolfo to cut my hair and then back to Marisha for the blow-dry. I am having this haircut now for five weeks already and I love it. I would have never imagined I could have such a great haircut. I will recommend everyone to get their haircut by Rodolfo. Not only is he a genius with the scissors but a great person to spend time talking same as Marisha for having girl talk!. NYC hair salon -----> THE BEST !! more

After all the great reviews I decided to try it! and I am very glad I did!. Before getting into the details of my visits, I just want everyone to know just because you book an app with Rodolfo does not mean he will do all the services, of course a celebrity hair stylist like him cannot do everything and everybody, it never happen in any salon!. But you can rest assured that he will honor a consultation ( he gave me almost one hour of his time considering that one hour of Rodolfo Valentin has a value of 3 digits at least!), and he will provide you with best staff member which is the best in your specific service as he did for me. Anyway he will probably do your hair extensions ( as he did to me) because he is a perfectionist!. He watch everything!. At this salon the hair colorists truly the best. Because my hair was in very damaged condition from a very bad salon I visited in Queens ( again: do not believe everything the internet shows in paid per click results), PPC: it means PAID and paid means that it is an advertising from the shop. I made a mistake following the search results by going to the one showing in the top of the results after searching ""hair extensions"". They ruined my hair!. From now on I promised myself I will only believe in the free results usually down the page!. My hair color at Rodolfo Valentin was the best hair color in my entire life enhanced by the super natural hair extensions!. At the end I kissed Rodolfo and I must to admit that I love him!, his personality, his staff and his superb unique talent!. With a very Hollywood-like voice his response was "" I watch and I win, you never lose with me, do not worry!) I went to Rodolfo Valentin salon because they are worldwide known as the best hair color salon and because I really want to have the most coveted hairstyle of my favorite superstar that happens to go to Rodolfo Valentin salon for her color. My first interaction with Rodolfo became a friendly one and I did not have a hard time to explain to him what I want because I brought a picture of my favorite star, that's when I learned that she goes there for coloring, too. What a luck!!! After three processes which I know that I needed to achieve the desired color that I want, the end result was a color perfectly beautiful and natural looking. I also got the haircut and style and my, oh my...is this me? Definitely, a nice make-over. By the way,I was so fascinated of being at the salon where the stars go.Most celebrity hair stylists are located in New York City and Los Angeles, but Rodolfo Valentin being one of them is the top among the tops in my opinion, with the difference that at Rodolfo Valentin salon you will not end up paying a fortune for a star-quality hairstyle. when I was there, next to me was the 2010 top next model from Germany and the actress Cathy Moriarty getting ready to the opening of her last movie. I booked an appointment with Rodolfo Valentin for hair color consultation and I also wanted a haircut. I knew the prices far in advance because I printed the price list from the website as suggested by the front desk person that booked my appointment since they are not allowed to give prices on the telephone. They refrain from doing this as a result from few abuses that they have lately received from customers who asked for prices ofservices with lower cost and then do more expensive services and stating that the cost that they were told on the phone was much less ( we should blame the current economy for it ). Rodolfo's haircut is priced 350 which is perfectly affordable for me and lower compared with the famous hair stylists in New York City but the best haircut that I ever got in my entire life.Rodolfo Valentin did not rushed the consultation for hair color, he gave me all his time until he made really sure of the result I was expecting, then he appointed Pia to do the job which I understand is one of his 5 hair color seniors. Rodolfo Valentin very rare does the color himself and if he does it, will be more expensive and as Rodolfo says it is totally unnecessary because he is around watching everything all over the place. The hair color process was done in three steps, the base color was corrected since it was ruined by having the wrong hair colorist in another salon, and then two tones of highlights. Rodolfo explained to me that he has a technique to add different shades of highlights all in one process but was not applicable for my case since my hair was a little damaged and it required one by one under control. The result was fabulous and the haircut by Rodolfo to end the great work was the diamond crown of it. This is the first time that I paid a bill of over $ 700 dollars including the 3 color process, haircut and style and I left happy feeling like a queen. Rodolfo Valentin's personnel are very attentive, front desk unbelievable, they are so hospitable and Rodolfo Valentin's young assistants are so cute that I wanted to take them home with me... what else could I ask for? Since I have the hair infusion additions, my own hair seems growing stronger that makes me very happy of thinking that in the future I can use just my hair. But I am asking myself, “Why should I do that”? The hair infusion additions are not hurting my hair, thanks to them because this is the reason why my own hair is growing healthier, also the hair infusion additions are very light and I almost forget that I have them on. I am very thankful to Rodolfo and his experienced staff, I do not have to worry if Rodolfo is not there because his salons staff is probably unique in New York, and they go above and beyond for the customers, truly amazing. After all the reviews I decided to try it. In fact, he said to me straight up after I asked him a couple times why he wasn't doing the work, he claimed ""I watch. Don't worry, I'm watching."" That was never the case, either. Basically, I booked an appt two weeks in advance. Since I had to have a consultation if I wanted Rodolfo (ahem..), and get my hair colored on the same day, I was told I needed to come in for atleast 3 hours. I said fine, so we booked on their ""late night."" I left work early, still, in order to leave time for all. The consultation, after making it clear I was there for color, consisted of 45 minutes of Rodolfo trying to sell me on his custom made hair extensions. It was quite frustrating but I smiled and went along with it. FInally when the color started (base before lowlights) I was given a very young assistant. Rodolfo disappeared. I don't even know if Roldolfo clearly explained what I wanted. As I was getting rinsed, the assistant asked me what else I was doing. I said, highlights (which I made clear when I made the appt, when I walked in, and to Rodolfo). The assistant looked at his watch, and said ""hmmm let me check"" Voila, Rodolfo now appeared, telling me that lowlights take some time. Can I come back tomorrow at noon (Friday). Anyone who works full-time knows, this is just not acceptable. Also - Rodolfo is not there on the weekends. Cut to the chase - he agreed to 5:30. I was not happy I had to come back, after wasting 45 minutes on hair extension hustling, let alone leave work again early. However, half the job was done, so I had little choice. He said ""let me go get someone to dry your hair. A younger asst. blewdry, no product, and a blowdry I could have done in 5 minutes. I later found out they charged me $60 for the blow-dry. I did not ask for it, and it was awful. Upon my return the next day, my lowlights were done by a woman. When I asked her if Rodolfo had explained to her ""lighter in the front, darker in the back"" (he assured me he explained it - however I couldn't tell as he spoke in Spanish to everyone) - she looked confused, and asked me if I also needed highlights. I was livid. He appeared again at the end with a glass of wine in hand. I asked him why he did not explain to her what we had talked about, as well as why he didn't do the color. With a very Hollywood-like explanation, his response was ""I watch, and I win - you never lose with me. Don't worry."" The entire time I had no idea who was who, what was told to the people doing my hair, and if they ever really knew what I wanted. The final charge was to be $450. The only reason I gave 2 stars was that after explaining my issues, they knocked the price down to $300. Still I hefty fee for base and highlights - no cut, poor service, and a lot of wasted time. more

And it is absolutely the true, it has been already two years since I am having his famous hair infusions and I hate when I have to remove them for services..When I walked into Rodolfo Valentin salon in Madison Avenue two years ago there was a lady in each chair having them on, I could not believe how many people was having the hair infusion extensions at the same time, I realized then how popular this unique hair extension is, and the most notorious thing is that it is the favorite of people of all age, girls, models, even the Italian Princess Beatriz de Savoia wears them!, really the best !and Rodolfo Valentin was right, I cannot survive without them! more

This is in my opinion the most impressive review about the great services of Rodolfo Valentin specifically about his unique hair prosthesis:\r ""I am 29 and have lost my hair to cancer twice. I have seen a lot of wigs. Before I met Rudolfo there is no way I would have been caught dead wearing one. (And this is coming from a bald girl!) Wigs - even the best ones, look fake and obvious.\r I'm not sure how I even ended up at the salon, but I am sure glad I did. I love my wig. Honestly, I forget that it is not my hair, and no one else knows it isn't. It is that good! I feel beautiful again, and I feel confident and comfortable wearing it.\r Rodofo is amazing. He is kind, and caring, and talented. He has been so patient with my never ending requests, and questions, and in the end knew what I wanted better than I did. His staff is friendly and helpful, and always have my preferred drink waiting for me when I arrive. I always carry a card from the salon with me now because everyone wants to know who ""does my hair."" Rodolfo does.\r Loosing your hair really sucks. But honestly I am not terrified of it happening again anymore because of Rodolfo. Let's face it there are many salons in NYC and lord knows I have been to my share who would have thought it would be so difficult to go blonde and get the best haircolorist for blonde hair colors!. I had pretty dark hair and I wanted to be super blonde. In the past everywhere I had gone to get my hair done had not turned out to be so good. The blonde hair colors always turns out really orange, not a pretty sight. Rigth before I was about to give up and go back to my dark brown, I was having lunch a Nello's Restaurant on Madison Avenue between 62nd and 63rd streets at the outdoor patio when I spotted what I thought was a woman wit the perfect blonde hair color. After almost tackling her to inquire where she got her hair done, she pointed right next door at Rodolfo Valentin Salon. so I booked my appointment with Rodolfo Valentin and I am so happy I did!. The blonde hair color is absolutely beautiful. It is not orange at all, it is amazing how many compliments I get on it. He is blonde hair colorist guru! SPECTACULAR ! more
