In the english language - fast cheap and good! That's exactly what you'll get when you make a visit to queen beauty salon in the International district on 5th and Main. Being of the Asian persuasion, I needed someone who could handle cutting Asian hair and all the cowlicks that go along with it. Plus I was going back to short from having a medium length do. So, with not a small amount of anxiety , I ventured over there last Sat based on a recommendation from Yelp. The one woman show was busy - she was cutting one woman's hair, another was under the dryer and I was waiting. I watched her dispatch a cut and color in under 40 minutes - rendering a perfect bob. $35 for a cut and color? - unheard of! I showed her a picture of what I wanted - the cut was basically done in about 30 minutes. $15.00 for a cut - tip her $5.00 and you are out the door for $20! - And the proof is in the pudding - today at work- the cut looks the same- even after a full day at work - no loose ends winging out, no little pieces sticking out -its perfect.
now mind you, its not a fancy salon so you won't be getting served a latte, wine or anything like that - and I didn't get a shampoo- but if all you are wanting is a good basic cut that holds its shape, this is the place for you. Don't forget to say hi to her doggie too......
