Called on a Thurs when our heat and hot water were lost. $2000.00 and two weeks later my water heater they replaced is still waiting on parts they need, another company had to come and repair the heat they didn't finish at an additional $800, and I'm still waiting on parts from progressive with no idea when the job they started will be completed. Terrible and unexcusable. more

I read how bad Progressive Plumbing is from the reviews. The reviews really discouraged me to call Progressive for some plumbing work that I wanted done, but I called them anyway. Thank God I did. They're the best thing that happened to us since we bought our estate home in Brier Creek. My hot water temperature was horrible. It took almost 4 or 5 minutes to get warm at the shower. Progressive installed a recirculating hot water system in my home before Thanksgiving and we have been celebrating since. Progressive beat the 2 top competitors prices by hundreds of dollars and did Class A work. They met and exceeded the equipment necessary for this installation. \r I was so impressed with their professionalism that I also had them replace my 7 under counter lights in our kitchen. They installed top notch halogen fixtures with a low light or bright light option switch. When we're cooking we use the bright light switch. The low light option makes the kitchen look warm and rustic. It's really beautiful. \r \r The moral of this review is to discourage the reading of negative reviews as gospel. In our case, these reviews were no where near what we experienced. We don't work for Progressive or own stock in it, etc., but, in all fairness, it's our number 1 company to do any plumbing or electrical work in our home. They're Outstanding.\r more

service is good but cost is high, take the diagnosis and get repair done elsewhere, Please do your research, ask companies if their service fee will be included if repair is done, Progressive's cost for repairs is very very high... excessive.. 90 dollare service call, and 200.00 dollars above cost of material to do a 15 min job.. be ware more

Crappy work and a rip-off 8/13/2012

My main house shut-off valve broke, it wouldn't open after I shut it off. I called Progressive Plumbing and Piping. They told me I have to pay $80 for the guy to come in and look at my valve, even though I told them exactly what needs to be fixed. OK, I bit the bullet. The guy came in, took a look, told me my shut off valve needed to be replaced (DUH!) and it would cost me $320 after discount. What was I to do, calll another guy to pay him $80 for telling me my shut off valle needed to be replaced?. I bit hte bullet again. He spent all of 15 minutes making a hole in the wall and replacing the valve. When I saw the finished work, I started wondering how he's going to close the hole, because the valve handle was INSIDE the wall when it was in the shut position. He said they don't close holes, and if I'm concerned about drafts I could just fill the inside space with some insulation foam and leave the hole open. Really? I though for $320 I would get my valve the way it was before--valve in more

Very Professional Service 10/2/2011

Recently our 6 year old C****r Air conditioner went down for the third time. Progressive had made repairs just 3 months ago to fix a broken capillary line on the evaporator. Again, in September, the evaporator was leaking down, only in a different place (it had been replaced in 06 under warranty). We called and got an estimate on a new Lennox central system and it was installed in record time. The mechanics and electrician were very courteous and professional in their installation. They left the whole area where they worked clean and neat, as if they were never even there. Thank You Progressive team for a job well done. I will highly recommend them to all my friends! more

Would not recommend! 2/23/2011

I bought a certificate ($89) through Twongo for a service on my heating and a/c. I missed the deadline because it was during the holidays and I travel quite a bit for my job so I got behind. I called Progressive and the girl who answered the phone said they would not honor it because it expired. I understand these things so I asked her if I could apply the $89 toward another service and again she repeated what sounded like a rote response sitting in front of her. She might as well have been a robot because no matter how I tried to discuss alternatives, she kept saying the same thing. This is very short-sighted on their part because I used to have a service contract with another company and bought this in anticipation of checking out the company to potentially have them start doing my service. I even told the girl this but it was still a ""I'm sorry, but our policy is......"". I may be out $89 but this company is out the potential of an even greater sale! more

Eeek! Yesterday my hot water went out and I called Progressive Plumbing and Steve their technician was able to get out to my house within the hour and I had hot water by Saturday night. So glad to know I was able to get such great service when I had an emergency. I would recommend them to ANYONE!!! Thanks again!!!!! more

Great Service, good prices 10/21/2010

I bought one of the $49 specials from their website to have them check my Furnace since it's starting to get cold. In the process they discovered my heat exchanger was cracked. I had no idea how dangerous this was to my family. Jeff their salesman came out (on the weekend even) and gave me an estimate. He also told me that he could rework my 12 year duct work to get better airflow and save me $$ on my electricity bill. The installers were great and cleaned up everything. Heat works great, family's save, Very, Very happy with Progressive and would recommend over and over again. more

I called them to fix my garbage disposal, and a very helpful young lady answered all my questions and offered me same day service. I was impressed with their customer service and the technician was polite and neat in appearance. My problem was fixed within 45 min. Will recommend to others. more

Prompt. Professional. 10/20/2010

Any time I have a plumbing problem I call Progressive. I live in a rental home where the landlord does not want to replace the water heater. We have had two experiences with no hot water over the years and called Progressive techs to come out each time. They always have the elements or thermostats on their truck. Living in Bahama, this is very convenient b/c there are no stores or supply houses close to my home. Great service. more
