DO NOT EVER EVER ORDER FROM THIS PLACE!!! BEWARE, THIS PLACE HAS THE WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER EVER SEEN. \r First, we asked if they made ma po tofu, which was NOT on the menu. The rude guy on the phone impatiently said yes... of course LATER we found out that their ""Hot Bean Curd"" (which is on the menu, and which we also ordered, thinking these were two separate dishes) was the same thing as the ma po tofu. So they just ASSUMED that we wanted the one dish, and never explained that is was the same thing! THEN to make things even better, they gave their delivery guy the WRONG number to call us when he was downstairs. So of course the food arrived cold and an hour and a half later. The kicker was the delivery guy almost STORMED into our apartment trying to cuss us out for not answering our phone! I have NEVER EVER seen such a thing and we lived in nyc for 10 years. After WE calmed the delivery guy down AND gave him a tip, because it really wasn't his fault he was given the wrong number to call, we found out that our food just had the one dish instead of the two we had clearly ordered. We called the restaurant back and the same rude guy just said it's the same thing! it's the same thing! Hot bean curd and ma po tofu! That should have been CLEARLY explained, because yes, we all know that hot bean curd and ma po tofu are the same thing. Then to end the night, the manager was INCREDIBLY rude. INstead of listening to the customer and offering some kind of explanation and try to amend the situation, he proceeded to yell back at us! STAY AWAY!!!! AND BY THE WAY, THE FOOD IS TERRIBLE! more

Panda's Restaurant is a shit hole, nasty food and over priced. Edamame and a plate of rice was $27.00, no drinks. more

Worst Chinese food I have ever had 9/7/2010

The inside of this restaraunt appears to be clean. The hostess was polite. After tasting the food, the aforementioned assets are meaningless.\r \r I called in an order for pickup. I was told by a nice young lady it would be 10 minutes until the food was ready. Perfect! \r \r I picked up the food and took it back to the office. The food was absolutely horrible. I'm not talking about wrinkle your nose and push through it bad. I'm talking about packing it up, getting in the car, and returning it, bad. \r \r The crispy Scechuan Beef certainly lived up to its name. It's as crispy now as the day they made it. Last week, I would guess, judging by the smell. Of course, I shouldn't let the sense of smell take all the credit for the ensuing battle. All human senses were equally assaulted.\r \r Seriously though, it was crispy enough that the meat broke apart like dried tinder. The fried rice was as satisfying as a hemorrhoid. \r \r So, is this poor meal a one time deal? An isolated incident? I don't know. However, if allowing something like that out the door is an indication of their quality control, I'd rather just avoid finding out.\r \r I've read the posts claiming ""its food for drunks"". I don't care if the food is for drunks, coke addicts, or the Taliban. Take some pride in what you serve. Drunk or not, they still paid good money for the food and Panda's management are the ones who choose to serve said drunks. Pandas has no room to complain about them. more

love this place.. 5/28/2010

i live in the oaklawn area and worked in one of the neighborhood bars for 17 years . needless to say i spent alot of time and money at Panda's. i ate there late at night after work for years and the food was always delicious and fresh. the place does obviously cater to the club crowd and believe me that's not an easy job. they get their share of nasty drunks with even nastier attitudes . as far as delivery goes the story isn't much better. drunk people ordering food and then passing out or not having any money to pay . i also worked in the delivery business and believe me i wanted to lose my temper at some of the a**holes i delivered to . my point is that they are a good restaurant run by good people . if you want a 4 star eatery then look one up. but if you want some good food after a night of partying then this is the place.,,, by the way they are remoldeling right now so the bathrooms won't soon be an issue.\r \r Pros: good food .. delivers late... nice staff.. Cons: bathrooms more

Overall BAD! 12/9/2009

When I used to live in Dallas, I used to eat at Panda's all the time. The food was great. I came into town this week (12/07/09) for a business trip and was staying close to Panda's. I ordered from Panda's two nights in a row. Both times the ""hot & spicy"" dishes tasted sweet, even though I asked them to make them EXTRA spicy. The second night Panda's charged me 25 cents for one pair of chopstick and 50 cents for extra chili oil. They did not do that the first night. Both nights my order was over $20. I didn't care about the charge for the sauce, but for CHOPTSTICKS! You are a CHINESE restaurant!!!! It would be like the Blackeyed Pea charging for forks and spoons. Come on! Nonetheless, the food quality had definitely gone downhill. Won't be eating at Panda's ever AGAIN! Pros: They Deliver Cons: Everything more

Horrible! 5/28/2009

This place needs to be closed down. I got food-poisoning from an order of Sweet and Sour Chicken. I d not recommend this place to anyone. Pros: Open Late Cons: FoodPoisoning Alert more

HORRIBLE!!!! 8/28/2008

OMG, no one should eat here. I ordered food for delivery & paid for the food with my credit card. Well when the delivery guy came I signed for my card & put 0 in for the tip because I was going to give him a cash tip. When I handed him the receipt and was trying to tell him to hold on a minute while I got the cash he instantly started cursing me out. "" oh you not leave tip?"" ""next time I bring you bad food"" and the real kicker was when I opened my mouth to explain to him how he had just ruined any chance of getting a tip now before I could say a word he yelled out ""Fu* k you b!tc%"" all of this at 2am in my quiet apartment complex. When I called to report the incident the owner merely stated ""well, did you get your food?"" then he said well when he gets here I'll talk to him"" there was no apology or anything. Not to mention that someone who delivers food with that kind of attitude simply.... shouldn't... and with the owner knowing the full situation yet still allowing that guy to deliver must encourage them doing nasty stuff to people's food when they get mad. So there's no telling how many plates they have put insects in, coughed mucus in etc. I just wouldn't recommed it. It's not safe. Pros: that one funny waitress and her mom, cute as can be... Cons: Everything else $uck$ more

do not call for delivery service 4/10/2008

I call ed over 30 times no one would answer at all... there were a few times the lines were busy n i would cal back and the line rang but no one would answer... By the way i called all three lines on there menu and no answer... I never had a problem with pandas until now... That is a very unproffesional restaurant or just lazy employees that dont want to pic up a phone and take an order more

it serves chinese food to drunks... boo hoo you expected more. 3/22/2008

I like eating this food: yes, I have heard the worst things about this place but still love eating what i am served.. \r \r BooHoo I have had tough chicken and bad service a couple times out of countless orders. I have also had great food and delightful service. \r \r At four o'clock in the morning what server wants to deal with a drunk ass*d mother fuc*er. I love eating here or getting to go. I love Chan. This is not my absolute favorite Chinese food but when I do want it, I love that it is there to be good enough. \r \r I give it great stars for what it is. it is a great chinese place for a bunch of drunks, maybe not consistent,. but good for what it is.\r .\r if it is as bad as these hateful drunks make it out to be then why the hell have they been there for twenty years. It is a solid restaurant, with solid standards for its own solid excellence. Pros: great wonderful food for drunks, Cons: that the servers have to deal with your drunk asses. sometimes the food is inconsistant . more

worst chinese food ever? 3/5/2008

i just ordered from panda's...what a mistake. should have read some other reviews but ordering. the food is barely edible -- noodles taste very strange and the beef is either all cartilage or junk meat, or severely overcooked. now, perhaps it's the kind of thing where people in dallas will go to this place because they don't have too many other alternatives, but wow, panda's is really, really bad. i will caveat this by saying that i am chinese american and was born and raised in new york, so i had the good fortune of having excellent chinese food all the time...but even if i lower my standards to that of a homeless person, i'd say this restaurant deserves two stars at best. avoid this food at all costs, unless you were thinking of serving it to the worst of your enemies (but even then, that might be considered cruel and unusual punishment). more

worst chinese food of my life 7/21/2006

Spare yourself! Do not order food from this establishment! Tonight I experienced the worst chinese food, nay, the worst FOOD I've ever had in my life. The chicken was nothing but burned cartiledge and fat, and it wasn't inexpensive either. Disregard the 8.9 ranking.\r \r Terrible! Cons: price, quality, service more

Great for take out 1/19/2005

I only tried it for take out, but I've become a regular. good food, decent prices, friendly people. Haven't tried as many take out places, but I can't complain about this one. Orange chicken was great more
