I got manicures and pedicures over a three month period from Ayesha and JT. They are both outstanding technicians. When I called to confirm my fourth pedicure appointment, Julie, the owner told me she didn't think I was a "good fit" for the salon. I was stunned since I've never been "fired" from anything or any place! All I can say at this point is I was a happy camper with Ayesha and JT but Julie and the salon get a thumbs down. more

Paint Shop Also Does Great Hair 8/13/2010

I know Paint Shop Beverly Hills is known as a great nail salon (Best of LA in Los Angeles Magazine), but it's also a hidden gem for hair. Miwa Kato has been my stylist for nearly 10 years now and she recently moved to the Paint Shop from another Beverly Hills salon. She's a fantastic colorist who's highly skilled in creating your most flattering color and I'm devoted to her because of what she's done for my hair over the years. She also does the BEST blowdry in town if you have a special occasion and is known for her professional Brazilian Blowouts. I trust Miwa so much she was with me on my wedding day - both as my stylist and a guest. She gave me the most elegant and stylish updo that photographed beautifully. Julie and Domingo (he is also a stylist), who own the salon, are very good people who will do their best to make sure you have a wonderful experience. more

This place is just the bomb. (Divine) That's what they should rename it. Everytime I go I'm more in love. It smells good, it's fun but relaxing, and the music is great. I go to Iesha. She is amazing. Everyone should get there nails done by her. I have never seen someone do work so precisely and she knows the science behind it all. She's not so bad to look at either lol. When you go get the ritas and rocks Iesha will really hook you up she loves doing that one. O make sure you go on a saturday so you can get some of those cookies the owner makes...delish. Pros: friendly staff, knowledgable, CLEAN, addicting Cons: parking, but they'll plug your meter for you more

best pedicures 5/9/2007

i love this place. they always accomodate me, and their pedicures are truly fantastic. the place is very clean and so cute. the owner is very sincere and sweet as well- she greets all clients as they enter the salon and treats everybody the same. i have been here many times and continue to go back. i have always had such wonderful experiences. Pros: pedicures Cons: meter parking, but i've always managed to nab a spot! more

Best in the City!!! 4/5/2005

I absolutely love Paint Shop. The approach is total nail health. When I first started going here my nails were brittle, broke easily and my cuticles were very dry. Deb (who is fantastic!) was wonderful and took lots of time to talk to me about what we could do to help my nails get stronger and my keep my cuticles in good shape. Afer one month and two visits- I have new hands! The atmosphere at PS is very relaxing and pampering. They use new instruments on each person (and you get to keep them if you want!). The color selection is wonderful and the weekend cookies are a great touch. I also love the music selection (they always display the cd that they are playing which is nice). Down to Earth Staff & Great Pedicures 3/20/2005

What I liked most about this place is that it is not pretentious. In a city where it's all about the money and fame, they treat everyone like a special customer. I took my daughter to L.A. for her 18th Birthday and we had pedicures here. I had the Chakra pedi and Robin did a fantastic foot massage. My daughter had the citrus pedi. Both girls were extremely personable and the owner, was very nice, as well. They offered us tea, water and cookies that the owners husband made - thanks, Julie - those were fabulous! The prices are a little high, but worth the service and comfort. more

A nice treat! 2/10/2005

I treated myself to a "Rita on the Rocks" for my birthday. The foot massage was HEAVEN, they played happy birthday for me and I felt like I was queen for a day! My feet were never prettier! I took my sister for Christmas and she floated out. A little pricey but it's nice to treat yourself once in a while! Don't Waste Your Money!! 1/18/2005

After hearing so much hype, I decided to go. For $35, I expected much better service. The guy didn't let my feet soak in the water- he just started half scrubbing. He didn't get any of the dead skin off. The polish selection was outdated. I like natural colors on my nails, theirs were all bright and 60ish. The guy who did my pedicure could barely understand english so I couldn't talk to him. I had the aromatherapy pedicure and all they did was put bubble bath in the water. I didn't smell anything. When I let them know I was VERY unsatisfied they basically had a nonchalant attitude. I will NEVER go back. They didn't use new nail clippers. I didn't smell any disinfectant on the foot sauna they brought out. It looked dingy. Pros: The chair was soft more

THAT IS THE MOTTO FOR THE PAINT SHOP. NO FAKE NAILS AT ALL!! SO THAT MEANS NO CHEMICAL SMELLS OR TREATMENTS FORCED ON YOU. I LOVE THIS PLACE THE OWNER JULIE IS PERSONABLE AND NICE. THE SHOP IS COMFORTABLE AND THE ONLY THING YOU SMELL IS THE AROMATHERAPY TREATMENTS. ON THE WEEKEND JULIE'S HUSBAND HAS HOMEMADE COOKIES WAITING FOR YOU.
