Wow! The same thing happened to me although my party was not cancelled but was rescheduled. I did the same thing in preparation for the party. I stayed in contact, had a letter confirming the date and time and the day before, when I called to triple confirm I was told that I had the time wrong, even though I had a letter from them confirming the time. We were able to reschedule for later in the day and they did give me a substantial discount. It was a couple of years ago so I don't remember how much the discount was so although I was not happy, the party went on. Nice to know that this is what they do when a bigger name calls. I thought it was a one time occurrence. I will definitely let anyone I refer to them know about this tendency of theirs. But the girls had a fabulous time once we were there. They cancelled our party two days before my daughter's birthday! We booked a party here and sent in the deposit more than two months in advance. They sent us a contract and I kept in touch with them. They confirmed the date and number of guests three times the week of the party. The last call was at noon to confirm the party and three hours later, they called to say they doubled booked. One guy was very nice, but the general manager and the manager were rude and I got three different stories from the three of them.
