I am so sad to have to write this. I just moved to the city a few weeks ago and am an avid fan of massages. Oasis was hands down the worst ever. I saw a coupon on Citysearch and after reading the reviews and checking out the website, I felt it would be a great choice. WRONG. I was taken into the massage room, which stunk like old vegetable oil, and saw on the bed a single, tiny (!) bath towel to get under. The unheated bed was more rickety than a rocking chair on a wooden porch. With every movement the bed creaked and felt like it was about to fall apart. The masseuse kept his oil in a plastic squeegy bottle and I was so lubed that I felt greasy even after a shower later that night. Not to mention that the massage wasn't even good enough to make up for it- scratching my back does not equal a deep tissue massage. Chad had no flow and jumped from here to there, all in his socks! So unsanitary. I felt bad complaining afterwards but i honestly thought it would be worthwhile- until the receptionist told me that a manager would talk to me but since I was using a coupon they wouldn't make any changes to my bill! First of all they don't equate to each other, and I was more disappointed that after telling them my experience was "awful," they didn't care enough to make a difference. For a hundred bucks, I'd rather take it and put it towards a spa that justifies the high price. Oasis, if you're not going to use your profits to strive for quality service, at least spend it on a more CLEAN, euphoric atmosphere- battleship grey is not a pleasant color for a spa. Or at least splurge on some blankets and earplugs to drown out the bed noises. Shoeless workers do not make up for a crappy bed.
Pros: was able to schedule for that day
Cons: Quality! Price, atmosphere
