New West Property Management

This place represents SCUM LORDS!!! My Agent found the place for me and I didn't get a chance to see it, but no one expects a place to be this bad. Holes and stains in the carpet. The walls were never painted and their full of holes and stains everywhere. The issues with my rental go on and on. They gave me the wrong password code to get in the gate, so I had to drive my car to the gate to let people in. They didn't give me any of the correct keys and it took forever to get them and I had to drive to their facility to pick them up. Their incredibly lazy and probably the stupidest people I have ever dealt with. I think when and organization is this stupid they are stealing from someone, either the tenants or the SCUM LORDS. TO THE SCUM LORDS THAT USE THIS COMPANY-YOU BETTER WATCH OUT!!!!!!!!!! more

I'm more than happy with New West. They are professional, courteous, and always willing to help. Not only were they willing to show me multiple houses to suit my very particular taste, they worked around my crazy schedule as I flew back and forth from my home town while looking for a new home in Vegas, even when that meant evening and weekend work for them. Now that I have been in the house for a few months, I have had to call on occasion to get a repair scheduled. I understand that is part of normal life, so I'm not annoyed by it, especially when the sweetest employee on the planet is there to arrange appointments with whatever repair company I need, follow-up to make sure I am happy, and keep following up until I am. Again - I couldn't be happier with a property management company. I will undoubtedly renew my lease with them as long as I stay in Vegas. more

I would never use this company to rent from or let them handle your property they will rip you off royally. Linda Parke more

I would not recommend these people to my worst enemy! STAY FAR AWAY! All it takes is one phone call and you will see how unprofessional these people are. The owner is a greedy coward. The property managers are the same way - they hide behind emails. The other employees are miserable ""know it all"" women who are more concerned with hearing themselves speak than actually doing their job. Seriously, save yourself the trouble and go with someone else! This is coming from a Las Vegas local as of 8 years, Air Force veteran, mother, model, and graduate student. more

I have been renting from New West Property Management for about 5 months. It was in my contract the house was ""as is"", but, every issue that I have presented them with, they have fixed. I have been very pleased with this company and I have never found anyone to be rude or unwilling to help. Dolores is just wonderful, and the office manager, Steven, has always treated me well. About the renting of foreclosed homes, I did ask about that at the time I rented. They provided me with legal papers stating, on the day I signed my papers, the house was in good standing. They told me they couldn't guarantee what would happen, but the papers were being presented in good faith. In this economy what else can they really do? I would rent again, 100%. It's not if your going to get screwed it's when with this rip off company.. Fact. You will not get your full deposit back. No matter how clean you leave it. They have screwing you down to a science. Easy to do when you have no ethics. If at all possible use another company. If you have been had by these bottom feeders report them to the Nevada real estate Division, maybe if all the people they cheat report them maybe Karma will come down hard on them. Believe me they deserve it. more

This company is very unprofessional. They do not care about their renters. Roof leaks??? Oh Well - 3 calls later it took them over 4 months to have repaired. Refer not working... Oh Well... not their problem!!! more

This is by far the worst property management company!!! They are rude, non communicative, unethical, lazy, and unprofessional!!! Took months to fix items that I listed on walk-thru at initial move-in and then tried to charge me to fix them..I'm still fighting about this today! Only have 3 day grace period for rent instead of the normal 5 days and will charge you $100.00 as a late fee. I was late one time 1 day because I get off after 5pm when they close! The manager will never talk to you and the receptionist is a rude b...h! They never call you back about issues you may have with them but will charge you or send you notices immediately if they think something is wrong. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY AND DON'T RENT FROM THEM!!!! more

Slum lords is an understatement. This place is the worst run company I've ever dealt with. They send out contractors and then bill me for it, the renter, without even telling me first that I would have to pay for it. Just got a demand letter for over 200$ they say I better pay or they'll kick me and my daughter out. Btw I've never once been late on my rent. The manager will not even give me the curtousy of getting on the phone with me to discuss the charges. Thanks alot SANDRA. Anybody know who her boss is or a good lawyer? more

I have rented many properties and dealt with alot of managment companies and I have yet to see an operation run the way this company is run. They are rude and very unprofessional. They talk up a good game to get you interested in the property and tell you ""oohh don't worry we will take care of these things. We want to be in business for many years to come and we are not in the practice of doing people wrong"" Yeah right. That is all they have done to me and my family. more

My brother and father rented a home from these people. They had them sign a new lease and did not disclose to them that the home was in default. They have refused to return the security deposit, and since we refused to pay rent on a house that is going to be sold in a couple of weeks, they serve them with a 5-day notice to evict. We are fighting these con artists in court. They are doing this when they have $2,000.00 dollars of my fathers money as security. The owner of the properties has multiple properties that these con artist manage, and half of them are in default, and I am sure the others are not being paid for. To protect yourself stay away from this company because if you don't you will be moving very shortly, and as stated in the other complaints about this company, they love to keep security deposits. Cons: Rents home that are in foreclosure more

I recieved $116 of my $800 deposit. I was charged $300 to have the litte 700 sq. ft. placed cleaned! I was charged $100 for a broken toilet seat (that was not broken), and $150 pressure wash of the back patio. DONT RENT FROM NWPM UNLESS YOU LIKE THROWING MONEY AWAY. more

Con-artists if you ask me. Lack of knowledge and responsibility. Poor attitudes...oh yeah...thats when and IF you ever get someone on the phone. From the receptionist putting you on hold for 30 minutes! to then calling back only to find out that the people assigned to your property are NOT IN. No one ever returns a phone call, and after signing up for a 2nd year lease, increase the rent by $300!!! Pros: NOTHING!!! Cons: Lack of people skills; POOR COMPANY more

NWPM let everything fall through the cracks! We as renters signed up for a year, than we were told to submit a letter for the 2nd year and that was all we needed to do. Now in May2009 they are trying to increase the rent by $300! We are first time renters and thought working with a Management company would be better than an individual, boy were we wrong! This company lacks responsibility, ownership and followup/through! And yes, as a previous person (John) posted on here, careful when calling in repairs. Not only will it take several days for the repair people to call, but NW will tell you it will be your responsibility to pay! Pros: NOTHING! Cons: EVERYTHING more

I'm not an expert on property management companies but I have dealt with apartment offices and one other property management company. My dealings with the apartment offices were great and left me feeling confident that property managers would be the same. Well, they are not! The first one I dealt with left me in tears and did nothing for us. We were ignored when we had problems but if they needed something suddenly they were ""easy to reach"". To keep it short, it was a nightmare and it left me very reluctant to deal with another. Then I was put in touch with New West Property Management. I have to say they have truly changed my views. Not all property managers are the same. They are always available, always return my calls. I did let them know of my previous experience and they assured me they did not do business that way and so far, they have stood by their word. I would recommend them to anyone. I called this co. to request information on a home I am interested in renting (4718 Cortina Rancho) and the very kind receptionist refered me to the agent for the home ""Will"". I called him and he gve me a curt discripton of the home, rental price, security deposit, and mentioned a $50.00 fee for some kind of background check. As I have been a homeowner for over 17 years, I asked for an explanaton of this nonrefundable fee and shockingly was told this, and I quote: ""Well if you can't affoard it then I suggest you look somewhere else for a house"" and then immediately HUNG UP ON ME! In all of my years I have never been treated so disrespectfully by a person in the business of assisting people. I immediately called the managment co. to relay our conversation and to speak to a manager as I am still interested in the house. They took my home # and I am still waiting for a call and hopefully an apology. (Where I work, if I ever treated a potential customer with that much rudeness I would be fired on the spot-so I sincerely hope management takes a good hard look at this guy and does something about it) I am awaiting their return call. more
