Best Waxing ever 8/5/2008

I wouldn't let anyone touch my eyebrows except Vanessa. She is attention to details, and knows exactly what to do with my eyebrows. If you're looking for somewhere to get waxed in a professional atmostsphere, Vanessa is definitly the right choice. more

Terrific brows & nails 7/31/2008

I was very hesitant to let someone else touch my eyebrows, but Vanessa is a genius! My brows have never looked better and it really makes a difference for my whole face! She also does terrific manicures and pedicures that last forever. She in at 1440 Lombard now (same phone number). You should go see her, you won't be disappointed! more

Truly the Best in the City... 7/22/2008

I have been a client of Vanessa's for 5 years. She's done my nails not only for day-to-day manicures but for ALL of my special events. Honestly, I have tried other places in not only the Center City area but all over the city. Her attention to detail is unparalled. She also does the best eyebrow arching-with no negative side effects...no scars or redness afterwards. I recommend her to everyone...I truly mean that she really is the BEST!!! i got a manicure by vanessa and it looks amazing! it is lasting forever, even though i am very hard on my nails. she recently moved and now she is located at 1440 lombard st. (her number is the same) the salon is so cute! she also waxed me and did a very thorough job. more

Great Customer Service 7/10/2008

I feel so lucky to have found Vanessa! She is friendly, talented and professional. Vanessa makes every appointment easy and relaxing, like visiting with a friend. My last pedicure lasted 5+ weeks and still looked GREAT. Vanessa always has hot new polish colors and manages to pick one each time that looks great on me. My feet have never looked so good! A Great Manicurist! 6/26/2008

Vanessa is wonderful. I have been a long time client of hers, and would never consider going anywhere else. Her manis and pedis never chip and last twice as long as any other place in the city. I highly recommend her to anyone, they will not be disappointed. Pros: extremely clean, latest colors, very friendly, can usually work around your busy schedule. more

I usually just go to Vanessa to get my eyebrows done but she talked me into getting a manicure. Well I'm glad she did. My nails came out beatiful! That was the first time I've ever like how they looked after a manicure and they lasted so long. I was very impressed and will be getting anoter one soon. more

A friend of mine recommended Vanessa to me a couple of months ago. So I went and I was so pleased with her work. I""ve been to other place where they have burned me or took too much off my brows but she didn""t everything was perfect. If ur looking for somewher to get waxed in a professional atmostsphere definitly try Vanessa. more

i never had my eyebrows done until i met vanessa. i was in to get my nails done and i saw her do the eyebrows of another woman. i got to see the before and after on someone other than myself. i never thought i could have eyebrows that look any better or different than what i was born with.but after seeing this other woman's transformation, complete perfection, I had to try for myself! not only did she make my eyebrows look better, they looked natural and as i call it,movie star perfect. she knows what shes doing. she is my one and only eyebrow professional! Pros: never disappointed Cons: none here! more

longest manicure!! 6/6/2008

Im not good at these things but I WANTED to compliment Vanessa publicly on her manicure she gave me. I live down the street from Vanessa and walked by her beautiful place many times. I needed to go out of town for 10 days and wanted a mani and pedi before I left. I expected the pedicure to last as it did. However I was pleasantly surprised to discover her manicure was still beautiful after I came home from my trip. I dont know what she does but her little hands do magic. I am going back again!! more

What Can you say about the best!! Ive been seeing Vanessa for years. Im so proud of her for finally having her own place on lombard. Its a cute little salon style and I feel like Im in nice classy place which is more than I can say for some other salons. Vanessa handles all of my beauty secrets from full body waxing to manicures and pedicures. Her little shop always has a client or two waiting for her and believe me she is worth it. She is the best!! more

Ive never been to a estitician like Vanessa. She is absolutely one of a kind and its more than a treat to have services done by her. She is always in a happy mood and keeps me in a positive which is a refreshing contrast to the hectic office that I work in. Im joking of course but not when it comes to waxing my body! Im a model so obviously I need to stay hairless, and keep up with my beauty regimines.. I get the works done by vanessa once a week at least. My body is very personal and Im picky who touches it. I love vanessa. Shes like a sister to me and I wouldn't go to anyone else as long as Im in philadelphia. more

Found my girl 5/23/2008

I moved to the Rittenhouse area from N.Y for a job and I kept finding these little nail salons all over the place that were very cheap just like in NY.. but Im a big believer of sanitation and having some type of dialogue with my manicurist and pedicurist. The little corner places have millions of feet in the same tubs and they turn over clients like burgers at mc donalds, trying to make as much money as they can. I walked by Vanessa's salon and I was greeted by a sweet Vanessa who had about 3 clients already waiting for her. I made an appointment and it was worth it. She took her time and gave me a soothing pedicure with some type of expensive products and we talked for the whole time. I walked out with not only beautiful hands and feet but feeling like I had a new friend! more

DONT GO ANYWHERE ELSE! 5/23/2008

I found Vanessa by searching through citysearch and reading her reviews. I dont let just anyone give me a brazillian wax.. I have had too many bad experiences. I didn't want a cheap place because I dont want a cheap job. Beauty is my treat to myself. Vanessa was everything but! Shes a beautiful and classy lady working out of a boutique style salon on lombard street. She was very professional with me and put me to ease right away. She was so great at the bakini wax I let her do a face wax on me. It was almost painless! I will never go anywhere else. more
