I read such rave reviews and recommendations from Citysearch...however it was a big disappointment because the bouncers there have big attitude problem and very rude. Who needs that...there are plenty of other LA scenes minus attitude to scope out. Cons: Rude bouncers more

I went on a Saturday night. There was no line and we walked right in. This place has the best decor than any Hollywood club/bar I've been to. There are couches all over the empty first floor and a cool fireplace. The patio section is enclosed by walls, but no roof...pretty cool. The unisex restrooms are different...you don't see that very often. It seemed very pretentious, but the women were beautiful...so who cares. If you're a guy, bring and beautiful women and you'll have no problems getting in. Pros: No Cover, Parking, Decor Cons: A bit empty more

Two of us girls tried getting in after 1am, but the doorman wouldn't let us in. Apparently there was a private party being held earlier in the evening. And he said it was still going on, which it wasn't. Luckily, we knew a guy there who DJ's and he was telling them to let us in. But the doorguy still wouldn't, even with the security guy telling him to let us in. Finally the security guy just let us in his door. And once inside, the clientele was all about how much money you have or how beautiful/thin you are. Won't go back. Too many places like this in LA. more

I agree with earlier comments -- it does seem like if you are not on a list, you are not getting in. And for that reason, it does make it so unappealing. The time I went I was with a group who was on the list. And once inside, the bar staff was nice, attentive and not arrogrant. Drinks like other similar places are outrageously priced. But this lounge definitely has a look of its own especially the upstairs smoking room -- four walls, a fireplace and no roof -- and unisex bathroom. If you get the chance to go -- definitely worth the experience. But not a place, I would beg to get into every week. Nacional is horrible. I went there Saturday (8/17) with four girlfriends and we were turned away at the door at 10pm when they opened. The place was empty and there was no line. However we were told we had to wait until everyone who was "on the list" arrived before we would be "considered" to be let in! The staff was rude, unprofessional, and sexually harassed us. Take your hard earned money elsewhere. If you go, bring a lawyer. The degrading lip from the doormen warrant a lawsuit. I'd never go back. Pros: None Cons: Doormen, Attitude, Sexual Harassment more

What great atmosphere. Great place to people watch. Diverse ages, with fashion statements made by all. Loved the outside 'walled' patio upstairs. You look up to the clear starry sky, yet there is an illusion of being inside because of the walls around you. Perfect For Hollywood 5/27/2002

Went for a private party, with an open bar so my review is a little biased. Anyone excpecting the old Fuel or even the older Bob's Frolic II will be in for quite a shock. With a first round knockout these guys can claim the title of best looking room in Hollywood. There are two fireplaces, one downstairs (with a window out on the street) and one upstairs in the open air smoking section, which has high walls, the only sky to b e seen is crisscrossed with the klieg lights at Hollywood and Vine. The great thing is, although there is a DJ, it's not a dance club, it's a lounge, so there is none of the attendant BS. As far a crowd, can't say, but this place has a great look and a great vibe. more
