They KEPT MY CAR for 3 MONTHS, they changed managers like underwear, told me I was getting a ""Brand New Aftermarket (better than GM)"" transmssion for only $3,500 wich I paid upfront, then treated me and my wife like crap. 2 DAYS LATER, WORSE problems than before, sent back. Another 2 WEEKS passed, I had enough. They sent it to Kingwood. They told me THERE WERE NO BRAND NEW PARTS IN IT and they COULD NOT REFUND THE DIFFERENCE (1,000) for just the rebuilt tranny. Got it back, similar problem, fixed in a day. 14 MONTHS LATER (convieniently after warranty exp.) my car would only drive in manual, I got it to the shop said it would take an hr to check, I was there 3 before they said leave it for a few days. I drove it back in manual, which he said it would be ok to do since it does shift, got about a mile or 2 from my house in Humble and NOTHING BUT REVERSE WORKED. I DROVE HOME IN REVERSE for 2 MILES. Took to another shop close by and of course they need $. The OWNER NEVER CALLED US BACK, SO MY WIFE HAD TO REPORT THEM TO THE BBB. Youre better off watching a youtube video and fixing it yourself. DONT GO HERE, unless you like being treated like crap and spending alot of money for it. They should change their name to F minus. more

I have heard that for cars transmission malfunction causes trouble. And one day I have experienced the same transmission problem. When I was on the way to Sugarland my car just got struck up with this problem. And I was really in a worse situation and I just took my mobile and just started to search for any transmission repairs shops through online. Thank God, I found A plus transmission specialist who properly diagnosed and repaired it properly. When they finished their work, it was almost late night and I thank A plus transmission specialist for such a wonderful and dedicated work. Without them I would really been in trouble. more

This morning I called A+ Transmission at Jones Rd. because I noticed that I was leaking Transmission Fluid. Steve is the manager there and his knowledge and professionalism convinced me to take my car there. In fact, Steve had mentioned that the job was internal and I needed to leave the car for half a day. Sure enough at 5pm he called me and told me my car was ready! Not only did Steve convince me but the price was not bad and having my car fixed the same day was Awesome!! THANK YOU, A+ Transmission!!!!!! more

I don't normally write reviews but Steve and his technicians deserve some praise! I have been around cars all my life but when it came to the transmission in my truck i was lost on where to go and what to do. Those guys down there not only fixed my truck faster than i expected but also took the time to walk me through the entire repair. You know its refreshing to find a honest reliable shop these days! more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE 2/21/2010

I paid $2700 to ""Jim"". who convinced by phone to tow my truck in for an ""inspection"". I actually met another little guy who claimed ""Jim"" was on ""vacation"", and left the store operations to him. Over the course of a few days they inspected my land rover tranny, and said the inspection was $700, but they could subtract it from the rebuild charge of 2700. Keep in mind that they were only supposed to tow it locally for me. Being a local business in my community, I put up a little trust and $2700 later, I got home, and started inspecting my truck , and they had destroyed 2 oxygen sensors, removed bolts,and never tightened them back, making my truck unsafe to drive. My truck barely made it home. The manager argued with ,me for 30 minutes about writing him a check, instead of paying cash or credit card. After I paid with a certified check, I got home, I started noticing other mechanical issues directly associated with the quality of their repair. Long story short; DO NOT TAKE YOUR IMPORT CAR OR ANY OTHER THERE FOR SERVICE. They will tell you bold-faced lies to your face, and won't tell you if they screw up, and took a very negative position when I started questioning what had happened with these other issues. Get your repair completed by someone else, if you want to avoid a huge head ache and potential safety issues when you ride in any vehicle they have repaired! For your families sake, Please don't risk it. Pros: THEY CAN REPAIR JAG TRANSMISSIONS Cons: EXTREMELY POOR SERVICE AND ROUGH HANDLING OF YOUR VEHICLE more

I am a happy customer. I have been going there for years for there $9.95 transmission service special. My wife Toyota Camry was acting up, I took it to Jones road. These guys again took care of me in very friendly and timely manner. Thank you A+ Pros: Professional, Friendly and fast more

March $2473=overhauled transmission in my Toyota. A few days later Im stuck and my 4 WD wont work. I wanted to take advantage of their open shop policy during the repair, but, Mon-Wed Alex had an excuse. Thurs I left my truck and said again Id like to take advantage of the policy but again a schedule issue. The problem was my front diff actuator? I had work done to my transmission not the front differential? I still dont have an explanation as to why. I have discussed it with the franchise office and Dennis said he would find the answers but I havent heard from him. Manager Alex could use a lesson in Quality and Customer Service. He didnt work with me in the least, the rework was done at his convenience, I gave him the opportunity to do it right the 1st time, his 2nd attempt should have been done at mine. Im unhappy with Alex's attitude and I quote, ""I dont walk on water and Im pretty sure you don't either"". APRIL My 2nd warranty experience was worse. Alex barely greeted me while smoking his cigarette. He did say he would take care of it. I called hours later and he said he found the problem and it would be done today. I didnt here from him so I called but they were closed. The next am I called and he said it was done yesterday but he wanted to check it again. At 10:48am he called and said it was ready. I arrived at 1:15pm but the shop was closed and my truck nowhere in site. NOTE:The 1st time I did warranty work with Alex he called and we arranged to lock my truck up in front of the building because I had given him my extra key. This time there was no contact. He maliciously locked my truck up in his shop on Sat at 1:00pm when he closed. I called again he said, Im closed and not opening till 8:00am Mon. There are no hours posted on his building or online. Alex has maliciously STOLEN my vehicle for the weekend because of the March review. Its the only explanation for his change in policy. Also, I still havent heard from Dennis... Awful in every aspect! Pros: Manager Alex always answers the phone nicely. Cons: Everything else is horrible more
