I paid $2700 to ""Jim"". who convinced by phone to tow my truck in for an ""inspection"". I actually met another little guy who claimed ""Jim"" was on ""vacation"", and left the store operations to him. Over the course of a few days they inspected my land rover tranny, and said the inspection was $700, but they could subtract it from the rebuild charge of 2700. Keep in mind that they were only supposed to tow it locally for me.
Being a local business in my community, I put up a little trust and $2700 later, I got home, and started inspecting my truck , and they had destroyed 2 oxygen sensors, removed bolts,and never tightened them back, making my truck unsafe to drive. My truck barely made it home. The manager argued with ,me for 30 minutes about writing him a check, instead of paying cash or credit card. After I paid with a certified check, I got home, I started noticing other mechanical issues directly associated with the quality of their repair.
Long story short; DO NOT TAKE YOUR IMPORT CAR OR ANY OTHER THERE FOR SERVICE. They will tell you bold-faced lies to your face, and won't tell you if they screw up, and took a very negative position when I started questioning what had happened with these other issues. Get your repair completed by someone else, if you want to avoid a huge head ache and potential safety issues when you ride in any vehicle they have repaired! For your families sake, Please don't risk it.
