If you are looking for the most sumptuously decorated, romantic and loveliest place to take your sweetie, take them to Mona's. The diningroom is beautiful with all the purples and reds and it is the ONLY place in all of Seattle where I know to get Duck Confit (which if you don't know is a duck hind quarter, slow roasted and then sealed in its own, rendered fat for weeks and then fried to maintain it's crispy, mellow flavor) which they rotate monthly through a variety of sauces. They have extraordinary salads and soups. Their menu is limited, but it offeres something for everyone, whether vegetarian or carnivore. A short menu is refreshing if you have ever waded through the menu at Cheesecake Factory or Claim Jumper and found it overwhelming. I don't know if they have good desserts or not because we always fill up on duck! But I'm sure they are as wonderful as the rest of the menu is.
