Best

I have been going to Mario Badescu for years, and I love it there. FANITA is my go to lady, and not only does she give you an amazing facial, but she also really knows everything...

Worst

i agree with the comments that this place offers good facials and bad service. my facialist seemed tired, was very quick, and left the room for long stretches of time. still, i ...

Definitely going back! 12/23/2002

I was pleasantly surprised with the spa. Thoroughly enjoyed my european facial and Vitamin C mask. My skin looks and feels great. Angie was very friendly and answered all my skin related questions. Received a free skin consultation plus many great freebies. I'm definitely going back! Pros: great service, large product line, great value more

good facial, BAD service 11/18/2002

this was my first full-length facial, and i was pretty satisfied. i was running late and thus lost time in my appt., but nevertheless, i was very happy with the results. my face was SO clean afterwards. considering it was $65, compared to the $85+ other places charged, it's not a bad deal. HOWEVER - the experience itself leaves MUCH to be desired. my aesthetician left the room several times, left the door ajar and allowing all the noisy goings-on in the hallway to come into the room. go for a great facial and clean skin, but it's DEFINITELY not a relaxing place, and they do not take care of you. Pros: good facial, good price Cons: NOT RELAXING, they don't pamper you, NOISY more

Only the Surface 11/17/2002

The service was good, the massage was nice, but nothing special. I was expecting to leave feeling renewed but they give the kind of massages that just skim the surface. Don't go there and expect to get the kinks out, its just not that kind of place. Maybe the "upscale" clients don't need to be really massaged, just patted, but I can go elsewhere and leave feeling relaxed. Pros: Polite, Clean, Sundays Cons: To fast, Patting more

put on your best face 10/22/2002

Mario Badescu is truly the best value out there for facials. I was a client and actually have to admit I left them for Bliss - but after too many hard sells and $95 facials I am back with Mario - and will never stray again. True, the experience is not as pampering as Bliss - no lounge, no wine, no brownies - but at $65 for a facial that includes two masks - I can go buy myself wine and brownies with the savings. My skin looks better now than when I was going to Bliss and so does my wallet. Pros: best value, convenient hours more

WORST SPA EXPERIENCE EVER 9/30/2002

Second time at Mario Badescu and clearly my last. Booked an hour and 15 minute facial, technician was in with me for about 15 minutes while doing 4 other appointments at the same time. Left the door open every time she left and had to listen to people taking out trash and stomping their feet. All in all one of the most unenjoyable spa experiences I have ever had. Pros: reputation Cons: loud, not relaxing more

Forget Botox, Badescu Does teh Job! 9/2/2002

Great deal for services AND products Friendly staff Completely relaxing environment Pros: quality, nice service, good deal Cons: east side only more

try badescus 8/11/2002

i had my first facial ever at badescu's yesterday. i was impressed by their professional and courteous staff. i did not experience snootiness, just disorganization. when i arrived they were unable to find my booking. but luckily someone cancelled and i was taken right away. the facial was great. Asia was gentle and explained each step as a doctor would.(in fact, it did remind me of a doctors office. simply decorated, very clean, white uniformed staff) the extra $45 another reviewer was upset about is glycolic and it's an option not a hidden fee. at the end they try to sell you their products. with autographed celebrity photographs on the walls singing praise and a guarantee that the products will work or your money back it makes it hard to not buy into it. Pros: professional, clean, moderately priced Cons: sales pitches more

Not Worth it 8/8/2002

I was a little hesitant at first to go to Mario based on some of the other reviews I read. I should have listened. Honestly, you are left alone in the room for most of the facial (you know this is because they book two facials at once). It is not relaxing at all. The overall facial was okay, but definitely not worth it!! Try some place else. more

good-old fashion skincare... 8/2/2002

I love Mario Badescu. I have been a client for many years. I reccomend everyone and anyone I know. It's just good old- fashion SERIOUS skin care.NO GIMMICKS, NO PUSHY,SASSY KNOW IT ALL SALES PEOPLE WITH ATTITUDES. The place was so busy first time I went in, I thought they were giving something away for FREE, then I wanted in on the action for myself, and I found out they actually are giving there facials for FREE, for 65$ that is free in my opinion. GO GET YOURS... Pros: convienent, affordable more

Simply the Best! 7/29/2002

The service, products, as well as prices are the best in town! more

A customer for 4 years 7/22/2002

The place has the best facials in town, best waxing and other hair removal. Yes the space is tight and it is not like a spa like experience. I have been going to MB for about 4 years now and the more you go, the ladies at the front are so much nicer. You cannot beat the price and the products are the only products i use today. I have recommended to all my friends and many still continue to go.. more

Average at best 6/17/2002

First of all you are left in the room alone for most of your service. You can hear what is going on in the rooms next doorto you. The best person Kristi, is booked solid for months in advance. And they push "special" treatments on you when all you want is regular facial. Go to Total Serenity in Philadelphia, PA. It's worth the trip Cons: front desk service more
