Always delicious! We even ordered two nights in a row!

Worst

I can't believe I haven't written a review for this place yet. It was terrible! A large group of us came and sat in the bar area. Now I have to set the scene here, the place ...

THE BEST INDIAN FOOD!!! TRY THE LUNCH BUFFET!! 3/15/2007

This is the best Indian food that I have ever had! My husband and I love to go on the weekends for the $7 and something lunch buffet. The food is so rich and flavorful. If you can't make it out for the lunch buffet, they have an excellent ""dinner for 2"" option on the menu which comes with 2 appetizers, 2 entrees plus rice and non, and 2 desserts for only $25!!!! They seem pretty family-friendly there too..I see families with kids come in all the time. Next time you're in West Seattle, you should check it out! Pros: GREAT FOOD!! Buffet is delicious and affordable, great value. Cons: parking (as always), ambiance is not all that great. more

We'll take a road trip for this one! 2/17/2007

The staff here is so super-friendly that it's like icing on the cake for their yummy food. We were introduced to this place by my sister's boyfriend, and have not stopped going since! West Seattle is in no way close to where we live but the food is just wonderful. I have never left this place with an aching tummy and they are always full of suggestions when you're just not sure what to order. Definitely worth a visit. Pros: great food, friendly staff Cons: street parking more

great bar 11/9/2006

they recently updated the restauant area but luckily the bar remains the same - divey as all hell and it's awesome. Good happy hour. more

Excellent Food and Service 11/14/2005

The new chef was great! The chicken Tika Malsara was the best I have eaten. I eat mostly at Bellevue restaurants and this is by far better. The waiter was on point all evening long. The food quality was the best. You have got to try this place once for the the price so up. 4 stars more

What a great experince and a great meal !!!!!!!! 11/6/2005

This was the best Indian food that I have had in Seattle! They have a new chef and have remodeled the restaurant. It is now a very beautiful place to have a wonderful meal. They have added some new dishes to the menu and are using fresh mango for some of these dishes (the mango chicken is wonderful). They are also now serving goat and I would recommend that you try it. And as always there Tandoori Chef is amazing. The Rack of Lamb is to die for....... Pros: Booth Seating, Great Atmosphere, Beautiful Artwork more

1.5 hours and $40 I'll never get back 10/24/2005

What awful, bland food! Worst Indian I ever had. I waited more than an hour for takeout and the hostess was dumb as a post. After an hour of waiting I just wanted my money back but she just looked at me like a deer in the headlights when I asked for it. The food was really tasteless after all that. I wouldn't bother writing a review except I'd hate for anyone who knows Indian food to waste their time and money at this place. more

I LOOOOVE THIS PLACE! 10/11/2005

The food here is awesome and always is. I've gone back many times and everything is always excellent. The service is great, the staff is so friendly and inviting. I am vegetarian and there are so many options, as you usually find with indian food. My boyfriend has had chicken and pork dishes and said it was the best pork he's ever had. Vegetable samosas are a great appetizer, and I have yet to find a dish I don't like. They are in the process of remodeling and I am very excited about that. The only thing that needs some work is the atmosphere and ambience, but it's not enough to keep me away! Pros: Friendly staff, Flavorful!, Coupons Cons: Loud bar in back, Rice costs extra more

Chug a lug 5/12/2005

its booze and madness when I'm at the bar. What can I say -- but play -- all day -- anyway -- I'd down - boozehound - of puget sound Pros: kirk Cons: Richard more

Daal! 9/2/2004

I absolutely LOVE daal makhani! I get the most undeniable cravings sometimes that will not take no for an answer and I know what must be done... The coconut chicken is also quite special and I personally believe that no trip to the Maha is complete without an order of garlic naan. Give the Maharaja a try, it's awesome. Pros: Daal Makhani, Coconut Chicken, Bogey Cons: , Loud Music from Bar more

I only need one reason to come... 2/18/2004

Bogey! Bogey! Bogey! Need I say more? I thnk not. Well, maybe. I love the chicken pakora, the keema samosa, and the garlic naan is to die for. But it's all about Bogey. Pros: Bogey, Value more

Chicken Tikha to Die For 8/1/2002

Maharaja is easily as good as any other Indian joint in town. We eat there at least weekly, and have never had a bad dish. Delivery is always prompt and friendly. Try the vegetable korma and the chicken tikha masala, their very best dishes. more
