Do Not Support This Bussiness 9/6/2011

This Store's Merchandise is amazing. There is something for everyone in this store. Being here is like being in a magical wonderland. However, the owners are insane and treat their employees questionably. The co-workers do not get along well with each other. The seasonal help usually is pretty amazing; however the full time employees may be nice to your face but will talk smack behind their backs. most the staff are grouchy and dislike their job. DO NOT SUPPORT! more

Mean grouchy staff member ruined the experience 7/22/2011

I can always find what I want here- but each time I go that mean grouchy guy ruins my day. What is his problem? He is so rude! He should stay home. I will travel further to buy things elsewhere if at all possible. more

Take a Step back to childhood & Get lost in Play fun! 9/4/2010

Magic Mouse Toys offers two levels of play to learn fun! Offerings in this fun toy store vary from trinket type of wind-up flipping frogs to elegant chess boards, and of course, everything in-between! more

Review of Magic Mouse Toys 3/11/2010

I had the same experience as a previous reviewer. First, I really like the store and have been there frequently. It's fun to explore and they have a lot of great things for kids and adults of all ages. The problem is at least one very unfriendly sales person downstairs that I recently encountered. He seemed miserable and to not like people. It made me feel very uncomfortable and not really anxious to go back any time soon. more

I will never give my money to those people again!! 2/16/2010

I have shoped at this store once before, it was a pretty quick in and out thing but the clerks still seemed distant, board and annoyed. I didn't think to much of it at the time because I hap more pressing issues. But when I took my sister there this weekend searching for a present for our kid brother, we were discusted and appaled by the treatment we recievced!! We were flipping through a book we were deciding on BUYING for literally 2 minuets when a clerk came up snached the book out of our hands told us ""This isn't a library"" and put the book back on the shelf. When we told him we didn't appreciate his attitude he told us ""f you don't like my attitude then you can leave"". When we went to complain about his behavor we were disrespected, condencended and womanized!! No one deserves the the treatment they give their customers. Cons: horrible customer service, high prices more

rude sales clerk, overpriced merchandise 5/11/2009

My experience was similar to that of tbmr. The check-out person was apparently one of the owners, and he could hardly have been ruder. True, I was spending less than $5.00, but that was because of the high prices of their toys. I had meant to buy several things for my grandkids, but changed my mind. When I was checking out, the person ahead of me asked an innocuous question about a toy, and the clerk snarled at him. When it was my turn to pay, the clerk was again impatient. I bought a small toy, but I won't ever go back. more

Customers do not come first 5/8/2009

Awhile ago I bought a travel game board for a present. Later on I realized that the price was much higher than I could find anywhere else. I was fine with paying more than a large-scale box store, but their price was double the highest price I could find anywhere else. When I called, their response was that they were a toy store and it was a convenience that they stocked board games. They reminded me that we live in a capitalistic society. ????????? Pros: good variety of puzzles Cons: customer service, parking, prices more

Selection is good, but the staff don't seem to like children 4/4/2008

My experience has been very different than "heather s."'s. My husband and I both work downtown so found Magic Mouse convenient for lunch time last minute shopping. It was a little over priced, but we figured we were paying for the location. Then we brought our 2 1/2 year old daughter in with us one evening after work and the man behind the counter seemed bothered by our questions. It felt like he was annoyed at our presence and at our daughters excitement. We haven't been back. more

Play, explore, spend some time and get some great toys 8/17/2006

You have to love this store because there's not really much like in the world today. This store has all the little and big toys for all age ranges. With two floors of fun, you can find almost anything to stimulate a child of almost any age as well as adults.\r \r The toys range from the cute (a great stuffed animal selection) to the hobbyist (toy planes and sailboats) to more intellectual pursuits such as board games and other. The store also has a bargain bin section on the bottom floor that sports some good finds from time-to-time.\r \r This is not the store to by the latest video game, but rather a place to find someone unique that will last for years. PROS: Fun fun fun! CONS: more

Your kids will dig it! 11/16/2005

Best described as a mini-FAO Scwartz. There are lots of fun classic toys. Due to location I don't go very often (think Pioneer Square), however anytime I'm in need of an interesting gift for another child we go here. One gets tired of seeing the same old junky, throw away toys at all of the other stores. I would suggest checking them out if you haven't already! more

great place to spend an afternoon 10/10/2005

This place is really wondeful in buzzy Pioneer Square. There are so many things to just look at and play with. Even if you don't buy a thing the staff are friendly. They have a good selection of puzzles, books, tarot cards, chess sets, playing cards, card games, board games, model trains, etc in the basement. The upper story is more mischievous with those little cheap party toys and talking plush toys. People of all ages can definitely find their heart's delight here. more

Best toy store on the planet 10/9/2005

I have a feeling that parents who shop here for toys have children with higher-than-normal intelligence. The toys here are centered around educational persuits and not random unnecessary violence like most other toys are. I am happy that they seem not to carry anything related to "Barbie", and nearly everything they sell is marketed as gender neutral, which I think is very positive indeed! Tons of puzzles, art sets, chemistry sets, models, books, etc. Very great store even if you don't have kids!!! more

Best Toy Store in Seattle 6/30/2005

The Magic Mouse is a classic toy store with creative and innovative toys that are sure to tickle the immagination of any youngster. Just north of Pioneer Square, the Magic Mouse is in a great, old neighborhood. The store has a ton of character. You'll find some wonderful toys that you might not find at the bigger chains. Parking can be hard to find on surrounding streets. PROS: Great character, great place to find unique and rare toys CONS: Higher prices, little to no parking more

play play play! 6/14/2005

i don't want to grow up, I'm a magic mouse kid! this is the coolest toy store in town. young or old, you can play with just about anything before you buy. (or play and don't buy.) PROS: CONS: pioneer square bums begging for booze money. more

Fun, Old Fashioned Toy Store 4/3/2005

This place really is magical! Not your average corporate toy store. If you want the latest "in" toy, don't go here - but if you want something, unique, high quality, and maybe even educational, this is the place to go. There are even lots of toys out on tables for the kids (or adults) to try out. Novely items, books, even tarot cards. This place is really fun to explore for kids of all ages. Next time your in Pioneer Square check it out. PROS: Unique items, Fun atmoshpere, anti-corporate CONS: prices are a little high on some items more
