While I can get a quote for fixing several items for my car from other shops, the guy at Lioe's refused to give a quote over the phone and insisted that I have to drive my car to the shop to get a quote. He was very rude saying that if i don't like their way of doing business, go to the other shops. more

I can't believe all the great reviews. Lieo's may do good work, I don't know, but I strongly disagree with the reviewers who have said they have "affordable prices". I took my car in for an oil change and to have an unusual sound checked out. They told me the sound was due to my alternator needing to be replaced, and quoted me $635 to do so. I told them I would think about it, came home and did some quick research and found that I can get a new OE alternator for my car, with a 2-year warranty, for $99 including having it shipped to me! And changing an alternator should not take more than an hour. Even allowing for doubling the parts price and charging high labor costs, this quote is twice what it should be. I will never bother taking my car there again after that quote. it's irrelevant how good their work is when their prices are so outrageous. more

We have used Lioe's since moving onto Beacon Hill about 10 years ago. It was recommended by a neighbor and we've experienced nothing but excellent and prompt service. In addition, there have been a few times when they have encouraged us NOT to do something that would have cost us more, and instead, advised us to choose a lower priced option that proved to be best in the long run! Great family run shop. more

It is simply unbelievable that a highly-rated garage could screw up an oil change, but it happened. The oil fill cap on my 2005 Corolla says "5w30 only" but they put in 10w30! When I called to have this corrected, they said "We use 10w30 in all Corollas and haven't had a problem." (You can read that again!) When I pointed out that the manufacturer specifies 5w30, he said "You didn't tell us to put in that weight oil." I've never seen this sort of ignorance at a garage, anywhere. I've requested a refund and there will be hell to pay if they don't come across. Stay far, far away from Lioe's. God knows what they've done to people who don't know better. more

This is a family business and they really know what they are doing. They have fair pricing and do their best to keep repair fees as low as possible. They are friendly and will do their best to get the job done as quickly as possible. They are a real gem in the often sleazy world of auto repair shops. more

When I first moved to Seattle and needed some work done on my Nissan Sentra I found out about Lioe's shop and checked it out. The family-run business was bustling right when it opened and Lioe himself was quite cheerful and friendly. They're fast, thorough, and really care about the work they do. Pricing is very reasonable! On one occasion, I came to my car one morning and found someone had smashed into my driver-side mirror and hadn't even left a note! I took it to Lioe's to get it replaced and told him of my situation - he was so upset about the incident as well that he offered to replace it for the price of the part and no labor! It was a warming gesture that made me a loyal customer! more
