Worst customer service experience. I will never buy here again. Aside from the fact that my credit card was charged immediately and the item was not received for 8 weeks, the item that I ordered was not described properly on the website and as a result, did not match what I already had. I was not permitted to return it because orders under $50 are non returnable. (But it was not as described) Repeated emails and a letter to the President of the company went unanswered. more

I ordered lamps on December 17th (one month ago) and still do not have them. Inquiry to Customer service on January 7th via e-mail response was "these items will ship directly from the manufacturer in 3-5 business days." Still waiting.... and waiting.... and waiting...... do not order from this company. Bad customer service and based on what I have read overall a bad company to deal with. Avoid!!! more

I agree with everyone on the page about the Gregory Lighting company. Some of the friendliest people youll meet in NYC, they know what theyre talking about and dont try to rip you off. It does get busy on the weekends though so if you can get in there on a business day I'd suggest it. Took half the time on a Monday that it took on a Sunday to find similar stuff. more

As an elederly man, I am not so talented with online just yet. But my daughters encouraged me to try using the computer they purchased me for my birthday. I quit several times out of frustration in my attempts to purchase a simple floor lamp for my foyer. Eventually I came to Lighting From Gregory. I found their website most simple to manage and when I had questions with the ""shopping cart"" the phone representatives walked me through the process with patience and clarity. I found the ceiling fan ordering process over complicated. Every other website bogs you down with trying to run all over the site tracking down all the little parts. I called Gregory Lighting and they made it very simple. They showed me how all of the options for every fan on their site is listed right beneath the picture. Every compatible blade, light, drop rod or anything is all right there. So easy you wonder why everyone doesnt do it like that Pros: very helpful with understanding fan order Cons: didnt shop for lights, so who knows more

i went to the website for lighting product and came away very happy. the representative was friendly and knowledgable and helped me find a track light for my kitchen. i even hung up to comparison shop but ended up coming back when i realized they were cheaper back where i started! so happy with my shopping experience Pros: tons of different lights, cheaper than anyone else more

I was in need of a particular glass shade for a very expensive chandlier I had bought many years ago. The representative explained that the glass shade was not shown for sale on the website. Instead of using this as an excuse to not help me with what was an admittedly small sale, she did the opposite. We had our heart set on a Quoizel table lamp that other websites said was disconitnued even though its on their website. We found gregory lighting and they also showed the product. the rep checked and told us the same news, but instead of hanging up they worked with my wife and i to find the perfect lamp to substitute for us. my sales rep was great at discounting the product. they already had the lowest price i found online, but he cut another 10% off when i asked if it was his best price. theyre really friendly. its good too cus theres SO much stuff on the site i almost didnt know where to begin. they were friendly, knew their stuff, and the product got here in days not weeks. great company. Lighting by gregory was a very easy shopping experience. website was very simpe to get around. price was way less than the other sites i saw. had to return one product cus i ordered too many (my fault), and it was done and credited back to me within a week. no complaints. good site. I've bought lighting here and have had to return items that I didn't like or weren't necessary and they refuse any returns! Do not buy your lighting here, there are many other on-line vendors who will stand by their products and your purchases!!! Cons: You can't return anything!!!! more

Im sure its possible some people have had problems with LBG, but personally speaking I dont shop anywhere else. Ive never had a problem with customer service, i have no problem sending emails - it is an internet company!!. THey always respond to me, and when i need to call they answer. Sabrina in customer service is brilliant. I use LBG for all my fan needs and anytime theres a hiccup shes right there to help. Pros: Biggest selection, best pricing, ships quick, friendly reps more

I wish I read these reviews before making a purchase at Lighting By Gregory! My shopping experience in this online store turned out to be a neverending nightmare. The items I ordered online arrived broken (both pieces). As I opened the two boxes, I saw that they weren't well packed at all. And now it is taking the company over THREE weeks to issue me a return label, so that I can mail the two lights back. It looks like it may take them three more weeks (at the least) to issue me a refund. If this isn't ridiculous, then I don't know what is. Like so many others have pointed out, the customer services is horrible, and that's to put it kindly. One has more luck reaching Obama than getting a hold of them (their preferred means of communication seems to be e-mail, as it's easier to ignore those). When you finally get a hold of someone, they appear to be very uninterested in what you have to tell them as well as uncaring about solving your problem. You are better off talking to the wall at that point. Needless to say, I will never return to this store again, neither online nor ""on the ground."" If you have extra nerve cells to spare or wish to experience unforgettably disgusting treatment, place an order with them now! Placed an order for 15 chandeliers on August 6th, and it is now August 21st and they're telling me that the manufacturer is experiencing some delays, and that they won't ship out until next week.
