TERRIBLE HORRIBLE BUSINESS. I purchased a 1000 dollar chandelier and they sent me the wrong item. There is no one that answers the phones are customer service. It is a total scam. more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER 7/19/2010

I purchased a $1000 chandelier online from the store. I have been calling for days to return it and no one answers the phone at customer service. Additionally, the only people I can talk to are in sales and refuse to help me, they just transfer me to an answering machine. Luckily, I am an attorney, but I will have to sue to reclaim my money. STAY AWAY! They do not help after they sell. They re-sell fixtures from unreliable manufacturers who do not provide parts or service. I have been emailing them for two weeks to get help to repair an expensive fixture. No return emails. If you order from them you are on your own. more

Do not shop at Lighting by Gregory 7/2/2010

I lost my money. They never shipped. No f/u after I called them either and was very rude. Never shop here! The promised savings aren't savings if the operation is a scam. \r I ordered a remote control and slanted hanging kit for my hunter fan. 3 weeks later, didn't receive them, called them, they said would let me know. 4 weeks later still no call from them so I called and got someone who only identified himself as Brian and refused to give me higher up names to complain to. Basically told me I didn't have the right to the names of the president of the company or his supervisor for a late order. Note he didn't know what happened so I dont' even know if they will ever ship it. As far as I'm concerned, I paid for goods that never delivered. more

Beware** Lighting by Gregory LBG *** DON'T TRUST THESE PEOPLE WITH YOUR LIGHTING ORDER **** \r This company has had my money for over 3 weeks!! then I had to ask "why I didn't recieve my order yet!" they tell me that they cannot sell me just one......they can only sell me 6 at a time!!!( Yet I ordered one and paid for one) Why would I need 6? \r THEY WAITED OVER 3 WEEKS TO TELL ME THIS!!! \r \r So now I am back to square one....................looking for a light fixture again on the internet! They still have my money!! more

Charged card right away but the items did not arrive for over a month. Several items were incorrect. Over three months now and I have still now received the correct material. more

i am writing solely to refute the other negative reviews about LBG. Ive been there customer for 15 years, both online and in person and they have always outshined their competitors in everyway. I only use LBG for my needs and as a develepor i use them often. The people there speak plain, easy to understand english, and are more than helpful in terms of pricing. ive returned product to them as well and never once had an issue. If you have issues with LBG, maybe you should read the information before you order, because it sounds like alot of these people didnt even take the time to understand the policies, which are actually very common across the internet. welcome to the 21st century everybody!! more

im a big fan of their website and recently traveled to NYC and thought i'd visit the showroom. maybe the website is easier to navigate (the showroom is the biggest in new york) but its definitely nice to have friendly people to help you on site. Got a great deal. If youre from NY or just visiting, check out the store. theyve got everything.... more

i would go nowhere else for lighting 3/2/2010

lightingbygregory's website is very simply put together and easy to use. i was able to find the billiard light i wanted very easily. i used a coupon code and it didnt work but the salesman on the phone gave me another that did. If you wanna save money use the site to find the product then call them for a better price. more

great people to help you find what you love 2/16/2010

Wife and I wanted to replace our 30 year old chandelier as a valentine's present to eachother. We hadnt shopped for lighting in..about 30 years! Our daughter suggested we go online. We found Lighting by gregory and there was so much product in dizzies the mind. Fortunately you can also call and get a real human on the phone. What a concept! We told them what we were looking for and what we wanted to spend. They took the time to spend a half hour with us working through a bunch of beautiful fixtures. When we finaly saw one we fell in love with at a price we liked, the saleswoman took another 20% off the price. As if that wasnt enough it arrived last thursday, just in time to have it hung for valentines day. Couldn't be happier. Were just glad our daughter showed us how to do a review for them here to show our gratitude. ha ha! Pros: great service and prices Cons: alot to look at on your own more

I dont blame LBG for the broken product, hence the five stars, but yeah. our floor lamp came busted up pretty good. It just looked like the delivery guys were throwing it around carelessly. Pros: Quick, friendly reps Cons: Had to return it in the first place more

i mean, yeah, the prices are really great. and the folks in there are definitely not your average cranky new yorker. but i just wanna say the place is absolutely beautiful. i might have paid admission. lol. just alot to look at and play with. if they put the word 'museum' on the front i wouldve belived it. sweet find in the big city. The showroom is huge, and has just been remodeled according to the salesgirl. So it can be tricky to find everything you want without some help. But i will tell you i was absolutely baffled by how far they beat everyone else out there. I was convinced i was gonna be handed a refurbished light. But sure enough, brand new, in original packiging, without a blemish on it. They say theyve been working with the lighting companies longer, and maybe thats why. But gosh, they really are just better and bigger. I'd go here for everything. Just plan to spend some time. :) Pros: beat everyone on the block by a mile Cons: lot of stuff to go through more

Lowest Prices, Better Customer Service Than My Local Lighting Stores 1/20/2010

I placed a very large order (over $10k) about a year and a half ago from Lighting by Gregory and had no problems with the order at all. I shopped for the best prices and found them to be the lowest for Minka and Designers Fountain lights.\r \r I also recently placed a telephone order for a couple of replacement parts about a week ago and they arrived promptly, drop-shipped from the different manufacturers. As a side note, I had called 4 different local lighting stores to get these parts and none of them followed through...when I called Lighting by Gregory, they placed my order during my one and only phone call to them! more
