Very good results, Laser Hair Removal for African American Skin. 8/18/2009

I am an African American women, who was always told, that since our skin color we cannot have a successful laser hair removal. I also seen some news report where African American clients have been scarred by lasers during hair removal, and that kept me a way from doing it. I am so glad that I found Le Cachet Laser Hair removal center, I knew that in order to perform Laser hair removal for our skin it has to be laser specially designed for black skin. It is my last treatment and I have no hair nor any scaring. As a young women I had a problem with facial hair which contributed to my acne problem. At Le Cachet I felt from the very beginning that I am in good hands, I had a strong impression, that they knew what they are doing, they made me feel comfortable and secure. I had 5 treatments and I am pleased to see such a wonderful result. My laser hair removal being done by Larisa who is using a special YAG laser for black skin. I already recommended Le Cachet Laser Hair removal to my girlfriend. I also like the fact that the place is spotless clean, the staff is professional, I found them very ethical since they told me from the very beginning that I will need at least 6 treatments. In many other places they tell you, that most is 3 treatments you will need, don't believe in that , they just want you to start. I also very much recommend Le Cachet Laser Center more

Surprised Couples Massage 8/16/2009

Le Cachet, Le Cachet, you guys are great!!!!!, my girlfriend asked me to go with her to help her to negotiate a business deal...when we got to the place it was Le Cachet Day Spa, and the business deal was a wonderful relaxing couples massage in a private room with aroma candles. The room was a bit small, but the atmosphere, the romantic music, the aroma oils, candles on the entire wall, and the massage was superb. I thought my girlfriend actually going to be kind of jealous since my massage therapist was a really pretty, tall , blond young lady. After the massage, me and my girlfriend were escorted to a private relaxation room with candles, where we had a glass of fine wine with organic chocolate, and where we concluded our business deal. The staff of Le Cachet was professional, pleasant and courteous; I am looking forward to have an other surprise couple's massage at Le Cachet Day Spa any time. Highly recommended Relaxing atmosphere, clean, professional staff. Recommended for Couples, The spa uses a very pleasant Organic Essential Massage oils. more

Cheaters 7/31/2009

I schedule an appointment for half an hour, I requested to take a shower before the cession, they charged me for an hour deep tissue massage, when I argued about it they said that I should have stoped the masseuse after 30 mins. He was telling me to keep an eye on the clock while I'm getting a massage.?! Go somewhere else, there are much better and classy spas in New York City. more

As an experienced spa-goer in NYC and other cities across the US and overseas, I can confidently say Cachet is a low-class hole in the wall by many accounts - mostly attitude. The spas I've frequented in cachet's price range are very professional, even luxurious and attentive. BUT, Cachet makes you feel like you should thank THEM for your patronage.\r \r The front desk receptionist, Julia, is nice when she's selling, but a demon when it comes to taking your money. Instead of a relaxing and enjoyable time, she made me feel more stressed, cheated and disgusted when it was all finally over.\r \r I should have been forewarned when the place was empty. There were absolutely no clients other than myself on this regular afternoon. The lights were out on one side of the "shop," the massage room was frigid and remained so even after I complained of being cold. There are so many places offering laser hair removals that it’s really hard to make a decision which place is really good.\r I already had 5 session laser hair removal in Manhattan, at a pretty fancy place, paid allot of money , and just after 8, Month my hair grow back like I never had Laser Hair removal treatment.\r I am so glad that finally, I found Le Cachet on line, made an appointment for a free Laser hair removal consultation. They were very professional, and made me feel comfortable, I could see that the Gentlemen who did the consultation knows what he was doing and they have allot of experience, I was also pleased to see their selections of futuristic laser equipments.\r After the consultation, I had my first laser hair removal treatment on my leg and under arms. I found Le Cachet Day Spa on the Web Site when I was looking for a nice day spa in NYC, to get a relaxing massage, also not an expensive one, since I travel to New York quite often on business trip, so I could use a nice day spa just to relax. Their web site was pretty simple, and it gave me all the information I needed. When I received my massage I fell in love with the place. It was one of the greatest massage I received, the staff was friendly and professional, the place was immaculately clean, and I enjoyed the massage oil they used.\r Its really funny, when I was at the front desk paying for my massage, a lady just came out who received a facial, she was really bragging about her facial she just received so much, that I ask if I can have a facial as well. Lucky me, they had a spot, I just have to share this I had many facial, but the facial I received from Julia, it was out of this world. I had problems with my skin since I was a teenager, I was told when I get married my skin will change….well I got married my skin if anything it got worst . For years I went to a number of dermatologist just to receive some temporary relief but never satisfactory. I found Le Cachet Day Spa on Line, made an appointment just for a skin consultation, they examined my skin and suggested the facials I would need. Honestly I expected a facial around $75.00 I was told that I would just waist my money, since the facial I need is a customized facial, specially designed for my skin with two different treatments, the price is $300.00 after thinking a bit, I agreed. I have to admit that I am glad that I decided to proceed with my facial treatment . I remembered my father used to tell me, you always get what you pay for in this life, he was right like always. The facial I received was an intense treatment like I never had in any doctors office nor any other spas I went to, although I am a Spa addict The aesthetician cleaned my skin using some kind of European deep cleansing techniques, it was a little bit painful, I could feel how my skin is being really cleaned. After she begin with a second treatment using an organic papaya and apricot enzyme peel. My facial lasted over an hour, with relaxing music in the background. I don’t believe in miracles, but after the first treatment my skin had a tremendous visible improvement. It’s over a week now, at work everyone realized that my skin looks so different, I am using the products they gave me, visible helps my skin. I am looking forward to my second appointment in 4 weeks. Questionable 1/24/2009

There is virtually no reception area and I think the decor in the main room is tasteless. When booked my appointment for a facial, I only really wanted the basic european facial. After I was welcomed and shown to my room, the esth. stayed in the room as I undressed. I didn't take all of my clothes off but I thought a little privacy would have been nice. The room was very small and a bit chilly (even under the towel and blanket). The atmostphere of the room I was in was nothing to write home about. Other reviews rave about the atmosphere and deor. I am assuming they mised the main room (nail and hair stations) and the room I was in. After I was settled ,the esth. looked and my skin and made recommendations. An enzyme peel and a deep cleansing facial. After about 10 minute of speaking and debating with her I gave in, not because I was really interested because I felt a little pressured. (I guess I need to stand up for myself a it more). My facial and enzyme peel lasted about an hour total. During my facial, when my eyes were closed, another employee opened the door and started speaking to the peron that was working on me. This was a it annoying. The shoulder massage was great during the peel but the extractions from the facial were VERY painful. After everything was finished my skin was very smooth and clean but I was left with a lot of redness and swelling. My skin was not that bad to begin with. When I got to the counter to pay, products were already lined up on the counter and the sales pitch began. I politely declined twice and both the esth and man at the desk continued to talk to me about the products. Again, I was a bit frustrated they wouldnt let it go after I had already said no. Then after I thought they had finally let it go, the man began to tell me that ""we really dont puch our products on people"". Opps, I guess he could tell how annoyed I was getting. I guess if my skins looks ok in a few days I would give it another go??? I am not a great writer but after visiting Le Cachet Day Spa in New York City I have to share my wonderful experience. I visited many day spas in New York as well as in other cities. I was very pleased to see a spa in the heart of New York City where the entire spa uses organic skin care and spa products. I am sensitive to all products containing any kind of chemicals. At Le Cachet Day Spa my hair was washed with organic shampoos and conditioners. I wish other spas would uses organic skin care products just like at Le Cachet Day Spa. After receiving a facial my skin became like never before, healthy and really fresh looking. I liked the fact that I didn’t had to take a shower after receiving a wonderful relaxing aromatherapy massage, because they use organic natural massage oils,my skin wasn’t greasy my skin observed the massage oil just like a moisturizer, no grease no itching. That’s what I hate about other spas, after receiving a good massage it takes a half hour just to wash of that ugly itching grease from my body. Good hair loss treatment. 8/25/2007

I take medication which causes my hair to fall out. After doing some research I decided to try the CTG(sometimes called ETG) treatment which is offered at Le Cachet. I've been going for a few months and my shedding has really slowed down and I have a lot of new growth coming in. The treatment is simple, only takes 12 minutes and is very reasonably priced. If you are having medically induced hair loss, I would recommend you try this. In one study I read it protected women receiving chemo from hair loss. more

The best spa package I ever received The best spa package I ever received I never thought of myself as a spa person. However, I must confess that it was a great experience, and Im glad I selected Le cachet to provide me with such great experience. The staff is very nice and courteous. They gave me all their time, didnt rush to go to the next client, and it showed in their work. They used some organic creams which made my skin glow, and their massage was unbelievable. I highly recommended to everyone who wants to find out how a real spa treatment feels like. more
