A Wonderful Day Spa 9/6/2006

What a pleasant surprise in the last minute, my girlfriend and I decided to pamper ourselves, the nice and polite gentlemen at the concierge desk highly recommended Le Cachet Day Spa. When I travel I am quite reluctant to go to spas, most spas dont try hard enough to provide good services, knowing tourist never return. Not at Le Cachet, we had a Ball, the best facials I ever had, the chocolate wrap from Organic cacao and the Aroma Therapy massage that followed, was a Bliss. The Staff of Le Cachet made us feel like we were just from their neighborhood. Despite the unique organic products they used, the prices were really fair. The entire staff was polite and courteous made us feel really at home. We will definitely return and send our friends. Pros: Fairly Priced, Organic product use, Customized Facials. Cons: Wish I could go more often, Hard to get in without appointment. more

Awful Service, Wildly Overpriced. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. 8/23/2006

Don't go here. Whatever you do. You will regret it. My facialist was also the receptionist, so she had the tv monitor on in the room, so she could see the front door. Even left a few times to answer it for a total of 10 minutes in an HOUR long facial. The facial was both awful and painful. She put on one mask, and the rest of it just had steam in my face. The extractions were the most painful I've ever had and left my face marked up. And all of this costs 150. You will have better service and a better facial at the aveda salon school on spring st for about 50. The massages were hysterically bad. I would compare it to the amount of pressure I use to moisturize in the morning. And it cost so freaking much, you leave feeling depressed and broke. Not to mention they try to push products on you as you are leaving, like they haven't milked you for enough money. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else, you won't regret it. The best present I ever had 1/9/2006

After all this hustle and bustle for the Holidays, running around to get the right gifts, as a mother of two it took a toll on me especially on my back. After enjoying Le Cachet Steam Room/ Sauna filled with fresh pine tree,followed by a magic hands one hour body massage with aroma oils, fixed all my body aches. It was so pleasant I didn;t want it to end. Thank you Le Cachet, it was my best present. I will be back. Hapy New Year for all your wonderfull staff!!!! Pros: clean, proffesional, relaxing more

Best Hair Removals 1/9/2006

For years I suffered from facial hair, I had treatments done in two other places, it was waist of my money. I could give myself a better massage 12/20/2005

My 1-hr massage (which cost me $100) consisted of absolutely no real ""massaging"". The woman who treated me first oiled me down - using absolutely NO pressure on my muscles - and then pat me dry with a towel. After this, she ""massaged"" everything BUT my muscles (i.e., my knee caps, ankles, wrists, hair) until the end of the session. I then asked, surprised, ""What about my back and neck?"" and she replied, ""Oh. You didn't tell me you wanted that"" - as if that were unheard of. So maybe it's my fault that I didn't clarify what I was paying for, but I have never received a message (I've had 100s) where my back and neck were avoided. So conclude what you may, but the point is that I walked in feeling sore and I walked out feeling sore, oily, and ripped off. Cons: Skill level more

I just turned 50 10/13/2005

I just turned 50, I was afraid to turn 50. I could not imagine how will I fill on the actual day. My husband gave me a Spa Gift Certificate to Le Cachet Spa.It was the most wonderful experience that made my day and made me forget about my age. I received the most wonderful facial I ever had,full body wrap with herbal scrub. I was pampered like never before. Best Kept Secret 10/13/2005

I felt very lucky to find this treasure tucked away in the heart of the city. Between the 2 hrs. of pampering from head to toe with an overall fabulous massage, and by far the best facial I've ever had; the hidden steam room was the best surprise. Fresh pine was placed in the very sheik, clay sauna/steam; helping me relax before services, then rejuvinate afterwards. Feeling as if you walked out of a European destination spa, yet still just a cab ride home is a huge find. This will definitely be one of my regular stops this season. more

Bad Spa 9/20/2005

I've been to many spas and rate Le Cachet in the top three worst. The esthetician kept asking me to spend more money on treatments and afterwards the sleazy manager there pressed really hard to buy products and get other services. I went there for relaxation, but instead got sales pitches. Their facilities are sub-average; there is no rinsing station in the treatment room, so if you get a body wrap you have to cross a hallway that is visible to the street while half-naked in the treatment sheet to take a shower. It was our 10-th wedding anniversary, after visiting online Le Cachet Website, I new where I am taking my Husband. I wanted to do something together, I chose their special discount Package For Two. I am glad I made the right decision, choosing Le Cachet Day Spa. The spa is beautiful, my husband and I felt like we just met at the spa while we were in the private steam room filled with natural Pine tree. The staff made our Day very special. The side-by-side massage with aroma oils was a real haven. I had many facials, but to make my husband to have one was a task itself. I am glad I did, he loved it. Go No Further This is It... 7/30/2005

My husband and I visited Le Cachet Day Spa; finally, we found a real tranquility of Europe in the heart of Manhattan. I wish more Spas would pay such an individual attention to their clients as Le Cachet wonderful staff. Most importantly, they do not push their services or products like many other spas, allowing us just to relax. Among other fantastic spa services we have received, I also purchased six treatments of the permanent hair removal, once every two weeks. The two-month waiting time is with the powerful Laser. Le Cachet Spa using the most advanced LHE Permanent hair removal technology I did my homework on it. I am very satisfied with my result. The Best Facials in Town 7/26/2005

I had many facials before but after visiting Le Cachet Holistic Skin Care Day Spa, I just found out what is the real facial. Julia gave me a facial that I cannot believe I could not have before anywhere else. First, she examined my skin and based on my skin condition she performed a facial using only natural organic facial products. After Le Cachet Microdermabrasion Crystal Cream, my face began to glow. Julia gave me a deep pore cleansing which I was always afraid to receive, after her facial, my skin had no side effects. I wish more American aestheticians would learn from this magnificent European cosmetologist. Since I am going to Le Cachet, my skin has a healthy glowing look, compliment of Le Cachet Skin Care. The best spa in New York 7/25/2005

I was pleasantly surprise to see a wonderful European Full service Day Spa in the heart of New York City. After experiencing Le Cachet Spa services I felt like I am in Europe, since all the staff, décor, service ,attitude, style, is from Europe. I am a proud American, but I have to admit there is nothing like a European touch when comes to Spa servicesam also suffering from acne problem since I was a kid, visited many Dermatologists for the rest of my adult life, without any visible results. I took me four trips to Le Cachet Skin Care spa and to my amaze, after just one Acne treatment I have seen more results than I ever seen visiting those so called dermatologists. Scam & Horrible experience 7/20/2005

Like one of the reviewers, I had a similar horrible experience. This is the worst place I have ever been to!!! The gentleman ( the manager) was super pushy. I was suppose to be there for 5-10 mins for lazer hair removal, but I was there for one hour! He was trying to sell me stuff the whole time! He was trying to sell me $260 of Rejuv Thermal Treatment, facial, and their ""naturally made shampoo"". This was the 3rd salon I tried for lazer hair removal and I had a fair good understanding of how everything works. However, he totally lied about the concept - the truth is,it should take about two month to grow out the hair and you just wait for your hair to fall out. He told me I should go back every two weeks. The gentleman that I dealt with was sleazy, pushy and tried to get me to sign up for more treatments. I didn't like the service at all. The deco is not that great and their treatment rooms in the back are dark and tiny. I did not get a good vibe from this place. I would not recommend this place at all. only one hollistic spa i have found in n.y.c. to relax and unwind from all this republcan convention anxiety was the la cachet spa, i couldn't find a better spa where i received all my pampering needs from a manicure/pedicure haircut massage and natural thermagetic bath all under one roof. to all my dlegate friend's...after todays session....just walk over to the spa and pamper yourself......... Want to impress a hot date? Le Cachet is the place to start. I'm a mother and like to spend time with my kids. But after having had a splendid experience at Le Cachet, I became a regular, kids or no kids. This place is as addictive as starbucks. (If you are a starbucks goer, you'll now what I mean) I've been to many spas and Le Cachet is one of the best. The atmosphere is welcoming, the staff highly skilled, the products top of the line, the service superb and the prices reasonable. I was made to feel at home and comfortable in this hidden city jewel. I have bought their dermabrasion and facial package and I certainly look several years younger. After struggling for years with discoloration, my complexion looks clear and soft. If you are eager for a break and rejuvenation, this is the place.
