Far and away the worst service I've ever experienced. After five years with them, we moved out of state, and they attempted to force me to pay another five years because I hadn't notified them of cancellation 60 days prior. We didn't even KNOW 60 days prior to the end of our five-year term that we would be moving OUT of state! All he could offer me (after laughing at me) was one month of free service.\r \r It took a complaint to the BBB and Attorney General to get them to drop our services. Here we pay $48 for three months service; LeBoeuf charged us $120 (with a fluctuating fuel surcharge) for three months.\r \r I had minimal problems until we requested a change in our contract, and then they turned into the most rude and rotten people I have ever dealt with. Everyone else I've spoken with says they had the same experience, including those who have attempted to cut costs and were told they had agreed to the terms of contract when they signed up for service in the beginning.\r \r Be aware go more

Trash company for trash collection 3/25/2012

My wife signed us up for trash collection on the promise of a lower rate than what we were paying. What a mistake! They have messed up our bills everytime, adding charges that she was told would be waived for the first year. She calls the office and gets it ""straightened out"" and 2 weeks later we get past due notices and threats of interruption of service. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! I would rather eat my trash than have to deal with them. more

If I could rate a zero I would. Do not sign a contract with Le Boeuf. Even if you move out of state you are bound to the contract. They sued a little old lady who went to a nursing home for the remainder of her contract. Do yourself a favor and choose a different trash hauler!!! more

Worst company ever! 8/5/2011

They sued me as well. I refused to pay the bill becuase they never picked up. I was using them for every other week service and had to call them every other week and ask them why they didn't pick up. Their response to me one day was that I was the only one on my street to use them and the driver didn't want to go down there. I cancelled my service right then. They came to pick up my dumpsters and instead of taking them with everything inside they dumped them out in my driveway and took the dumpsters empty. NEVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY!! more

I have experienced horrible service with this company. They pick up when they feel like it even though the barrel has to be out for 6am. The latest pick up was 5pm with no reason for it as the weather was good.\r \r Two weeks ago our barrel wasn't picked up. I phoned in to complain the next day and was told my barrel was not out according to the driver. The person on the phone was rude and told me that the driver was there first at 6:38am, then 6:30am and then 6:48am. I asked him which time as he had given me three. He said it didn't matter because the barrel wasn't out there. I succumbed and said "Okay, can my trash get picked up before the next pick up as we're a family of 5". The reply was no as there were no trucks in the area. I emphasized again how we can't wait to Wednesday and the attitude was "well, if we're picking up or dropping barrels off one of our guys might be able to pick up the bags as long as the barrel is at the top of the driveway". I spoke with ""Larry"" and he was nice until he asked why I was canceling. I was honest and said I shopped around and got a better rate. His attitude changed and became condescending. He informed me I was in a 60 month contract and that the penalty for ""breaking the contract"" was $360! (I am a renter and my lease only lasts a year.) He told me it was in huge bold letters that it was 5 years. This infuriated me and I told him I would not have agreed to such terms. I asked again ""So the penalty is about $400?"" He torts back ""No, its $360"" in which I replied ""I rounded up like I was taught in school"". Larry then says in a condescending tone ""Well, if you want to send an extra $40 you can."" I proceeded to tell him to send a copy of the so called contract as I want to see it for myself. In the end I hung up on him as he found great pleasure in the fact I was furious. Stay away from these people and tell everyone you know too! more

Why are they so rude to their customers? 5/15/2011

I have had to call a few times with a couple different issues. The man who answers the phone first thing in the morning is a rude jerk. Really, its like he is above being polite to their customers. Then, once I called later in the day and got a woman on the phone. I thought great, dont have to deal with that jerk. No, I was wrong, she was just as rude. I am getting a different service but checking around with other people first as to not pay my hard earned money to a company that does not give a crap about their customers. Anyone with a good rubbish pick up service in Sturbridge? more

Awful Customer Service 1/4/2011

I have used this rubbish removal service for a few years now. Last year, after a storm, I was told that the driver could not see the rubbish bin at the end of my driveway, which was a complete lie. It was in the same spot as always and was even shovelled out for them so they could do the pick up. Of course, they never came to get it until my next scheduled pick-up and were not too nice when I called regarding the missed pick-up. A few months back I called about recycling, which they don't do in my town. I was told by Eric that they had a truck and would be starting in Jan, 2011 at no additional cost. So I chose to remain with the company. I called back to begin this service and was told by Eric that now they cannot start until February. So as I was trying to have a conversation with him he immediately became defensive and started yelling at me that it's not his fault the truck isn't ready, as it is he has to pay to take my trash because they don't charge for recycling, blah, blah, blah. He was so rude, so I felt I had not choice but to cancel their services. Just awful customer service!!! I am going with Casella, they've got to be better than LeBoeuf. more

I can't wait until my contract ends! 1/1/2011

I can only begin by saying I can't wait until my contract with LeBoeuf is up after the 5 year term. Halfway through and the fuel surcharge has nearly tripled at times, also my fence was damaged when the trash cart was thrown back into the driveway (they have not replied to my complaint). They even dropped off a 2nd cart which I assumed was a mistake so I left it out for the next pick up. Well, they took my trash bags but not the 2nd cart then had the audacity to send me a $95 bill for a "missing cart". I had to leave them a nasty message to get it off my property and reverse the charge, which they did. I pay for an extra recycling fee but wonder if they really recycle. They tell you to separate the recycling but it appears to be thrown into one big pile into the truck. Lastly, I find discarded cigarette butts on the side of my lawn on pick up days. Save yourself $300/yr plus many headaches and just drop your rubbish at the town recycling center.\r Please read this story in the T&G more

A good experience 12/31/2010

I found these reviews today simply because I was looking for their number quickly. I have had Le Boeuf services for a number of years now and today I called to cancel only because I am personally trying to cut costs by recycling at my town transfer station. \r \r In the years I have used Le Boeuf I can't recall any issues and I have thrown away many things. The few times I was charged for extra bags was when I had excessive extra contractor bags. Further, when I started recycling locally my trash for pick up needs cut way down and they were more than helpful in reducing my service to accommodate. I went down to every other week for a lesser cost.\r \r I am now pinching pennies and that is the only reason I cancelled today. They did not give me any issue with cancelling and only asked if he could inquire as to why I am cancelling.\r \r I can't speak on contracts because I don't remember signing one and they didn't bring it up today. more

I need an alternative 12/28/2010

I wish I could give zero stars, but 1 is as low as it goes. The guy who answers the phone for them is an absolute moron. My trash has been sitting at the end of my driveway since Monday because LeBoeuf deemed the roads to be ""impassable"". Fair enough- so come out on Tuesday- that's what they do when a holiday falls on a Monday. Instead, the dope on the other end of the line tells me that they won't be out again until next Monday. I pay to have my trash picked up EVERY week- does that mean I will see a credit on my bill? Nope. Genius on the phone tells me ""There are some months that have five weeks in them but we don't charge you extra for that month"". Nice. Does anyone know of any other trash companies serving the Sturbridge/Fiskdale area? more

LeBoeuf rubbish removal is the only trash company out there that scams everyone into a five year contract and gives you a hard time to get out. I was having problems with them not picking up my trash. Would call them and they would give me this story how there drivers are all right and they said they pick up trash after a while on the phone with them he gave me a three months free if I sign a 1 year contract so when i signed I tried to cancel two years later and he said I signed for five years thats what it says on the back of there sheet.\r \r After my contract is up. I am not signing again.\r \r Hope this place goes out of business more

When I called to cancel my service with LeBeoufs I had to listen to Larry for 30 minutes about how County Waste is taking over putting them and other companies out of business because they are Mafia run. After hearing enough, I said- Look I am just calling to cancel my service, they are cheaper. He offered my the same prices and I said- you should have offered my that a month ago when I callled to say I was switching over. He then said sarcastically what a nice customer we have been and wanted to read all the "notes" they had on me. Yes, we called when service was unsatifactory- if we pay for a service we expect pick up--- not excuses about the weather, or broken trucks. Furthermore, if they had online banking, and didn't live in the dark ages, we may have put up with it a little longer. \r After talking to that ignoramuos and reading what others have wrote about LeBeoufs, I am glad I switched. more

I wish I had read up on these guys before I decided to use them. I moved into a rental for a one year term. Leboeuf gave me their rates and said there were no contract terms. So, I signed their agreement and called to cancel and now I can't because there is a 5 YEAR!!!! agreement term in print on the back of the contract. Larry, who I now understand is a complete douchebag by reading reviews, told me it's not his fault I didn't read the contract. What kind of respectable business says this and is deceitful like this???? How can this company get away with this? Do not ever use Le Boeuf. They are the lowest of the low. more

After 2yrs of bad service, charged for extra invisible bags at curbside, getting yelled at on the phone by the office clown, I moved to Florida. I called to get some of my $$ back & was told that the small print on the contract states that I will pay them for 5 yrs of service, even if I don't need it. I sent them proof that I lived in FL. & the clown said "see ya in court!" They sued and won as I was living & working in Fl and couldn't fly back at that time. VERY BAD BUSINESS MEN, STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS!! If I moved more than 25 mi from a gym I could void my contract, but moving 1300 mi away and I still have to pay for trash removal, how shocking!!! At least the owner is made of what he collects...TRASH. more
