My son started going to La Petite about 9 months ago after a horrible experience with another daycare. This place is bright and clean and well managed. Even when the director changed and there were some parental concerns about how things were going, a meeting was called by the regional director and she sat there with a bunch of parents for 3 hours, listening to concerns and I'm telling you, the very next day you could see how they were taking those concerns into consideration and making changes to make the center a better place. The teachers here are friendly and actually seem to like kids. They have people that work here who have been in this business for years. Miss Jennifer, my son's teacher really gets into the job and has so much fun with the kids. She always takes time to talk to me, too, and tell me how my son is doing and tell me stories about things that he did. My son is in the 2 year old room and he is constantly bringing home art projects and telling me all about the fun stuff he does. They read all the time and have books where the kids can look at them at any time. My son's favorite thing, though, is the Music Man. He comes once a month bringing instruments for the kids to play and they play music, dance and sing together. One thing that I really like is the teachers in the two year old room are really involved with potty training which has helped my son in that respect alot since he doesn't have to deal with inconsistencies between home and day care. Also, there is no TV except for the older kids to watch educational videos. My son is excited to go here every morning and doesn't want to leave at the end of the day. The tuition is kind of expensive but in this business, you get what you pay for. His old daycare was $40/week cheaper but I hated every minute that he was there. It is worth it to me to pay extra for quality child care. I have never regretted sending my son to La Petite and I would highly recommend it to anyone.
Pros: Great teachers, great environment, communication with parents, receptive to parent comments
Cons: price is a bit high but you get what you pay for
