great little local joint 3/15/2011

Luckily found Kozue a few years ago it is great Seattle sushi restaurant. The food is excellent, the service is great, and there is rarely a wait I always try to sit at the sushi bar if I can. The menu has a lot of options and they all seem to be great every time I go they have remembered a custom roll that we created and I swear I have never had it any better others have tried but none have even gotten close. Best cost in town! Just do it! You wont regret it one bit, more

Good specials but only fair sushi 5/23/2009

I work and live in the area and have been going to Kozue for a long time. This restaurant has changed many hands and is always busy, but their sushi is just average and their portions are getting smaller and food quality is inconsistent. For example, the Spicy Tuna Bowl used to come with a lot of tuna, little rice and fewer sides. Now, it has more sides, a small palmful of tuna and a ton of rice. The Chicken Udon I ordered once was so greasy I could probably grease my squeaky door hinges with it. How can udon be made so greasy?! Anyway, would only recommend as a lunch spot with good deals, but definitely last place for sushi or good food. Pros: Good lunch specials Cons: Bad sushi, small portions (takeout) more

High quality and reasonably priced sushi 10/6/2007

Kozue's happy hour (5-6:30pm) is a bargain with super cheep beer and sake. Great restaurant for kids. We love taking our two year old there. The menu has a wide variety of dishes. The teriyaki and bento boxes are a great deal. Pros: Good service; happy hour more

Best sushi restuarant in Wallingford 7/17/2007

Kozue is a great sushi restaurant. The food is excellent, the service is great, and there is rarely a wait. The menu has a lot of options and they all seem to be good. I recommend the grilled dishes, the salmon is excellent and the yams are tasty. The salads are fresh and flavorful. The rolls and nigri and well portioned. The service is really fast and the the servers are charming. I recommend this place all the time to friends and family. Pros: Excellent lunch specials Cons: Only one restroom more

Great daily Japanese! 8/2/2006

This comfy low-key neighborhood Japanese joint is always reliable. Waitstaff is generally friendly, cute, and quick. Good food. I've never had to wait for a table, which is great considering the nearby alternative Musashi's always has a wait. Good miso soup and tempura, and nice calm atmosphere. Pros: Tasty, reliable, friendly Cons: can be drafty if it's cold outside and you're sitting next to the window more

My partner and I have been going here for a long time. The sushi is always fresh and you can't beat their lunch specials (many $1 sushi pieces) or happy hour (drinks & food). High quality japanese food! Pros: great value, fresh sushi, lunch specials more
