Their icee treats are soothing on a hot sunny Chicago afternoon. I like the free samples that they pass out the sidewalk, but wouldn't really waste the time to stop in. They market it as fresh and "real," but they scoop the frozen fruit ices right out of a big plastic bin. It's not all that it's cracked up to be. more

Fresh Italian ice! I have known people that worked here and they said that they would stick the actual fruit in the ice as they made it. When you are eating it you will bite into a strawberry or lemon peel. It is awesome. This place is called Soup Box in the winter, and they serve the soup all year long. If nothing else, walk by in the summer while they are open and they will be standing outside with free samples of the ice. Can't hurt! more
