Home is where the heart is... 2/20/2009

i started yoga for the first time in my life last year with home yoga. i was lured in by the "first class free" indefinite promotion. the studio is wonderful for first time yoga-goers. the instructors are professional and personable. Each class is customized to reflect the energy of the students in attendance. one thing i love is that the instructors understand yoga is extracurricular for the students and not a strict way of life so no judgment is passed on our lifestyles. i have been going there for nearly a year now and have no intention of quitting. i've truly enjoyed this yoga studio. there is a lot of self reflection and awareness i didn't have a year ago. i am now able to listen to my body, correcting and pushing when appropriate. my life has truly changed and i may not go to home yoga for the rest of my life, but i will definitely carry the wisdom i've picked up there forever. Pros: small classes, personal attention, friendly atmosphere Cons: not a place a for intense vigorous routine yoga, you will not find it here more

Great Teachers and Friendly Sense of Community 2/17/2009

I have practiced yoga for years and experienced several studios and I chose Home Yoga because of the sense of community Terri has created. Even though I live closer to other yoga studios I travel a fair distance to practice at Home Yoga 5 to 6 days a week. There is a great verity of teachers to choose from as well. I highly recommend joining our community. Pros: Good verity of teachers, Sense of community more

The Friendliest studio I have ever gone to 1/22/2009

I love this studio!!! From the minute I stepped into the door I felt at home. All the teachers are extremely friendly and I love the variety in the classes they offer. Some days I need to "flow" and then some days I like a little slower pace and enjoy working the subleties of the poses. All the teachers really care about the students and they all have something great to offer. I would highly recommend them to everybody. Pros: Great teachers, excellent value, classes that fit anyones schedule Cons: Parking during the day, but on 2nd W it's free more

Feels like home! 10/16/2007

I am by no means a yogi; it has been about a year since I have practiced yoga as a beginner. My last sessions were in Fremont, and I felt I got nothing out of those sessions. Instructors were hard to follow, classes were overcrowded so I was constantly bumping elbows or smelling someone's feet. Not exactly a calming atmosphere. I felt right at home when I went in to Home Yoga for my free initial lesson. The instructor was friendly and gave great guidance into the poses. I don't know how it felt for the more experienced, but the speed and instruction were just right for me as I struggled to remember the poses. I would definitely recommend this for a beginner/novice. Pros: great instructors, not overcrowded Cons: tough street parking. more
