You can see why Matteo's was a Frank Sinatra hangout. The ambience is classy, the service great (provided you're a tipper - otherwise don't expect much), and the food is some of the best Italian to be found in Los Angeles. This is not a place for rowdy kids or inappropriate attire. Dress like you wish to be treated, tip to show you appreciate the service, and be respectful. If more restuarants demanded this type of customer L.A. would be a classier city and much more enjoyable.
