Best

The staff that helped me was very knowledgeable. What a great help. Good sales, good price, good repairs.

Worst

Was considering purchasing equipment there, thought I'd try the service first. Needed starter cord replaced, took it in. Picked it up one week later, got home, pulled cord- nothin...

Came here the other day to get a power washer for my deck, the owner Harold was a pretty nice guy. We had quite the conversation while I was there and the overall experience was great. Pricing was good too. more

Very bad service! 7/26/2011

Was considering purchasing equipment there, thought I'd try the service first. Needed starter cord replaced, took it in. Picked it up one week later, got home, pulled cord- nothing. Called and talked to owner, was told it was working before I left. He finally told me to take lawnmower apart and bring starter assembly in to him and that he would ""look"" at it. Almost sounded like he was accusing me of breaking it. Decided enough is enough, took it to the Honda power equipment dealer where I purchased it- long drive, expensive shop but they know how to work on them. Mechanic told me that spring pack was put in backwards and had to be replaced now. Only $8 more total than what I paid Hwy9, and that included new spring pack too! I would have thought that Hwy 9 would know how to service Honda's as the Huskarvana mowers they sell are equipped with Honda engines, but apparently they don't have a clue. Just a thought: If a service customer picks up a repaired item and has a problem, just tell them to bring it back without arguing. I can do the work myself but currently have a broken thumb- thats why I took it in. If you screw up repairing it and need to replace a $4 spring pack- suck it up. And if you quote a customer a price stick with it- raising the price without reason will not get you repeat business! Save yourself the drama and go to a professional shop. Wish I had read the reviews first! more

Worst experience ever.. Owner tried to fight me. 3/2/2011

Worst experience I have ever had with any business. My brand new lawnmower breaks... So I contact Toro and they tell me to get in touch with an authorized service center... Being that this business was the closest to my house, I brought my lawnmower here. I mean it was just replacing a measly spring and pull cord, what could possibly go wrong?? I bring it there... The owner is working, tells me he isn't sure if it is covered under warranty, I say, okay fix it any ways. Fast forward 5 days, owner calls me and says ""Mower is ready, bill is 42 plus tax"" I reply ""okay""... After hanging up I call Toro directly and ask them about the situation. They ask for serial number and the date of purchase as indicated on my receipt... Customer service rep says ""This is a warranted item so long as it doesn't show sign of neglect""... I call back Highway 9 and tell them what I have heard (leaving out the signs of neglect comment) and he replies ""Oh, well I spoke with them and they say this is normal wear and tear and they don't replace this stuff"" We go back and forth and he realizes he is caught in a lie when I accuse him of double billing says he will call me back... 5 minutes later he calls back and says ""I spoke with Justin, the local Toro dealer and he says that you have to pay, but I will just give it to you for free""... ""Fine by me I reply""... thinking I just totally did catch him double billing!!! So I get to the store to get my mower and as I am pushing it out the owner starts to talk trash to me, calling me a young punk (I am 30 with a baby face), and that I don't know anything and this that and the other... As I am getting outside it gets very vulgar and aggressive. I turn around he completly lays into me telling me how he has owned 14 businesses and all kinds of other useless information... I become upset and defend myself and tell him how I feel about his operation. This upsets him and he tried to physically fight me... yes... he tried to fight me... He ran at me to shove me and I jumped out of the way... At this point I was unsure what to do, but I had my wife with me and she was scared so I said ""if you are going to fight me over a lawnmower lets do it, but you are doing this in front of a Fed-Ex delivery man and my wife, and I will not only embarrass you, I will have you arrested"" He went back inside and ran back out, not sure why, I have my suspicions, but I will keep that to my self... I left without further incident...5 minutes later he called to yell at me some more and give me a phone number to a toro dealer... I told him I could careless for the phone number that I spoke with corporate and they have the final say. COMPLETE JERK!! more
