What a great team you have! 12/31/2010

After a horrible experience at a camera store in Bellevue (guy was arguing with me on what I should buy) I drove to Seattle to visit Glazers! I know I should have gone there first. SO HELPFUL and patient with all my questions and giving me the time to test out different lenses and camera bodies. I was happy with my first purchase there (35L) that I came back and purchased the 5DMarkII. All the men and women working there were so friendly and eager to chat and the place was packed! I love this store!!!!!!!! more

Great return policy on lenses 4/20/2010

I live in Canada and purchased a lens in Seattle on a vacation trip. After 6 weeks I just wasn't happy with the lens, and Glazer's took it back (offered a refund, but I took an exchange) with a small restocking fee! They were very helpful with the purchase, and I would definitely purchase from them in the future. more

Great Place for Poor Service 5/30/2007

Knowledge of Staff (5) = Excellent, when I can get help, they always know what they are talking about. Inventory (5) = Well stocked always find what I need Price = (3) Competitive in town ( plus, who competes with their comprehensive camera/supply inventory) but high compared to online retailers like B&H ( where you don't pay tax and the base price is usually lower to begin with) The reason for the low score? I am rarely treated well even if I can actually get someone to notice me standing there. I have been in numerous time on different days so I can't blame it on the busy day syndrome. Although the staff is very knowledgeable, their attitude and service is just terrible. I work in the photo industry and have many friends of various ages/ genders/ levels of profession who share similar stories of rude and disrespectful sales people. I have a friend who won't step foot in Glazer's opting for the longer drive to Kenmore Camera ( and I must say I was treated very well up there as well.) However there are two sales people I have dealt with directly who are the exception to this review. If you do have to go in ask for: Mark Vercammen Lyle Rothenberg They are both the shining stars in the muck of poor customer service. I know I didn't offer specific instances but all of them are long winded and lead to this review. I still stop by Glazer for film, small items, and to look at new merchandise but prefer to shop with B&H Photo for most items. I don't mind paying extra to support the locals but Glazer's poor customer service on top of higher prices just doesn't sit well with me. more

Overwhelming selection! 11/21/2006

As a amateur photographer I was overwhelmed by the selection and stock here. I went to the main store and was amazed by all the variety of cameras, camera bags, photo paper, filters etc. I went across the street to the rentals building to pick of film. There is a vast selection of film and it is reasonably priced compared to other local camera shops. I needed help finding the right film for the particular scene I was shooting and found the employee to be a bit reserved but helpful. more

Rent the Camera BEFORE you buy!! 5/31/2006

I found this very helpful when I was looking to invest in a high quality camera. You can rent different camera for a 24 hour period, for a pretty cheap price, so you can see how user friendly it is and what type of results you get with it. You can rent lighting and backdrops as well - HINT: If you rent on Friday after 3pm, you don't need to return them 'till Monday!!! more

Photographer's heaven! 3/25/2006

When I really want to spend some money, I head to Glazer's. It's not that they're overpriced, it's just that there's too much for me to buy! I buy almost all of my film from Glazer's and have also bought my tripod and other equipment from there. For most things you can get a better deal online, but for those of us who love instant gratification, Glazer's is the way to go. more

Shutterbug's Delight 8/20/2005

Whether you find yourself in need of that edge-faded red filter, or finally willing to shell out for an upgrade to that F-5, Glazer's is first choice for photo gear in the Emerald City. High-quality digital printers, a photo lab, and add-ons for your SLR that go on for a solid block. Great experts on staff who are just as passionate about shots as you are. more

Need some camera gear 8/19/2005

Glazers Camera Supply is a small shop with a lot of high quality gear. Their cold storage film selection is amazing, having virtually every brand, speed and format out there. Their shop staff is generally knowledgeable and will help you in selecting the proper thing for your needs. This is also the odd ball place to find slide projector equipment as well as darkroom materials. Overall a great resource to have close by. more

The only camera store I need! 8/9/2005

Glazer's has everything - not only a wide selection of camera equipment, but a knowledgeable and friendly staff that can answer any question. I was happy to see that they were not just a camera store a la Kit's Cameras - they offered both film and digital equipment, new and used equipment, lighting, backgrounds, developing equipment, books - anything relating to photography, you can find it at Glazer's. Its location is pretty easy to get to from I-5, and with three separate stores, I avoided long waits for assistance. I've purchased some equipment from Glazer's, but my favorite aspect of this store is their rentals department. It was very useful for me to be able to rent equipment and know if that was what I needed or wanted to purchase, and the rental rates were very reasonable. Some items required you to reserve them well in advance, especially during the peak wedding months, but I've always been able to rent what I needed, when I needed it. more

THE Seattle Camera Source 6/26/2005

Glazer's is where the pros go to buy and rent cameras and supplies. They have great customer service, extremely knowledgeable staff and a great reputation. They now have a digital store across the street with everything digital and might have the perfect basic camera that could withstand use by a toddler. This is a local family owned business so they stand by their products and won't give you the hard-sell like the mega super stores. You will get personal attention and will leave happy. more
