We rented from this company about a year ago. At the beginning, they seemed unprofessional at best. The home we rented had a few repair issues that they needed to address, if we were to rent. Upon further inspection, the cause of -in this instance- broken/cracked windows was due to a compromised foundation. That's hardly something one could notice on a first walk-through prior to signing a lease. Long story short, this led to a brutally awful struggle between having a habitable home, and the well-being of our children. For months, after we had been told it would take up to two weeks 'tops,' we had to endure a very unprofessional, migrant labour-run crew perform repairs on the home, which consisted of sledgehammers being driven into the side of the home, all the way around, until enough brick had been removed. This would begin around 7:30 in the morning and often continue until 5 or 6pm. The workers did not have portable sanitation, so felt justified in making a toilet area out of our backyard. The noise was deafening, and traumatized our children. In fact, the banging caused picture frames to fall from the walls, one of which fell onto the head of our 3 month old son, who was lying quite a few feet away from the wall. The management company didn't give a damn about that child, or our other two. The repairs were made using our utilities, and after we -finally- got out of the lease, they were not willing to return the deposit, even though we clearly had more than enough on our side to receive the deposit at least. Short story long, we looked up the owners of the property and via the help of an attorney, sent descriptive letters to Both the owners and Gayner about all the ridiculous things we had so far endured. The deposit was granted, but that small win pales in comparison to the ongoing issues we have with our children due to the short time under Gayner and their ideas of 'mildly intrusive' repairs. Stay away, far away, renters and property owners alike.
