Tenants and owners looking for a Property management group BEWARE of Gayner Property Management 9/1/2008

I have been in litigations with this management company since I gace my 30 notice over 1 year ago. They are not to be trusted. I have been in the court room with this very unstable woman who claims to have no complaints in 21 years filed against her. They are very familiar with the loopholes in the laws and will drag out the process hoping people will give up on filing complaints on them. They altered legal documents and lied in court but to my suprise the courts are familiar with this management company and I believe they will get what they deserve. I leased a home from them and never received my security deposit back .I had to file a complaint with the better business and in small claims against them. I not only feel for the tenants who get stuck with them as the landlords who act like slum lords, but they also deceive the owners of the homes they are leasing for them. Beware of this group! moving made easy 6/19/2007

Simply put. Found house w/Gayner Property. Loved the home right away. Got approved. Easy contract to read and sign. Moved in and now feel settled into Austin. I've seen my share of rents homes and do have to say that this Gayner home was in great shape. Process has been simple. \r \r For someone new to the area and traveling with trucks I felt confident I would get my needs met. Recommend to anyone new to the area to look with them FIRST. The only people who complain and make horrible comments are the ones that leave the house a mess and or destroy the property. Gayner Management takes care of their tenants. I have had nothing but great experiences with the company and would recommend it to anyone. Pros: Always greets you with a smile Cons: Closed between 12 and 1 more

You will need to really follow up with them on fixing things, don't believe when they tell you someone is coming out to fix anything. Similarly, you might have to be responsible for lawn care, which is ridiculous if there is a complicated garden and you are not the homeowner. Why would you want to be responsible for someone else's property value, but reap none of the monetary rewards? they said they would call a lawn service and despite a few requests never did. more
