Fresh Fish Company

Was in Denver and stopped into the Fresh Fish Company for some cocktails and aps. The calamari was awesome, not like any I've ever had before. The server was amazing. She definatley knew the menu inside and out, tons of fun - will definatley go back again. Ask for Terri - Great food, Great Service!!! Ask for Terri's section - I will. more

Since moving to Denver from So. California 18 years ago I have yet to find another seafood restaurant that compares to the Fresh Fish Co. The service is always excellent and the fish always fresh. Whenever I am in the mood for seafood they will always be my first choice. Keep up the great work!!!!!!! more

I hate being landlocked! Mostly I miss the sea and its bounty....I have finally found my sea again...almost! The atmosphere of this place is fantastic, with all the aquariums and subdued lighting. I was greeted promptly and taken to a booth close to LOTS of tropical fish. The offerings on the menu will keep me coming back again and again, as there was simply so much choice, even with ONE fish, the variety of preparations were enough to make me go back and forth until at last I settled on Salmon with a creole sauce to make me want to slap my momma...well, I would never do that, but it was euphoric. The fish was hot and prepared just right and the sauce....OH the sauce! The sides were all very fresh and the wedge salad with Blue cheese dressing was the bomb! My server was prompt, knowledgeable (that's how I finally settled on the Creole sauce) and very polite. The comments from the rest of the table were just as good and the portions did not dissapoint. Bottom line, being away from Florida still hurts, but at least I can use this great restaurant as a crutch between visits home. Bon Appetit! more

What a total disappointment. It has taken me two days to recover from the most disgusting dining experience of my life. I took my mother there for her 80th birthday party at her request. What should have been the pinnacle of her special day turned into a truly miserable time for our party of 8. The sever was unbelievably rude. I can't even begin to tell you what it feels like to be continually ignored as if your not welcome at her restaurant. I so much enjoyed having my soup served after my entrée (unbelievable), repeatedly asking for another drink, having been told repeatedly by her that the total on the bill didn't include the gratuity, are we getting the picture now. My guest kept asking me, doesn't this salmon taste like it came from the can. Guess what it did? The fish was totally over cooked and was only fit for the last meal at the Dumb Friends League. How do they stay in business? After being ignored and the other guest leaving, we stayed to pay the bill. Guess what one more reminder that the total didn't include the gratuity. What gratuity, you have insulted, ignored us all night. Have gone to this restaurant for at least 20 years. I took my 87 year old mother there for a lobster birthday dinner. They used to offer % off according to age. Not anymore. For years, we've received our cards in the mail. None have been received for any of us for this year. However, we have always shown our Id and it was accepted. They have changed the discount to a flat $15.00's and on down according to dinner, lunch and brunch. I didn't have a problem with the change of procedure, but I did have a problem with service, bar, food and overall horrid attitude of the dinner waiter and the food. He was put out because we had cocktails and appetizers during the happy hour and didn't want to order more. If you offer it, don't have your waiters cop an attitude. We ordered filet with lobster tail. The lobster was curled up and the size of a golf ball , had grizzle, rubber texture and totally tasteless. I never knew you could destroy a lobster like that. You are a Fresh Food Fish Company?? I could have done better at King Soopers and cooked it myself. Better taste texture and quality. The beef fillet was actually good. Wooha...lol The same with the appetizers, Calamari and Coconut shrimp were over cooked and tasted like rubber. Fresh Fish Company ?? Our server was a snot and had no patience for my 87 year old mother who was hard of hearing. Over priced, poor service, bad attitude, horrid food and after 20 years...I will never go back. I'm passing on the word to my friends and family. I could add more details on the rudeness of the waiter, but...enough...I will always go back to a restaurant with friendly and caring service. It's too bad that was once a good restaurant has ....gone to yuck more

The Fresh Fish Company is a delightful place for a seafood meal. The fish is fresh, as the name states, and the service is very good - the waitstaff is very attentive - my water glass is never empty! The presentation is appealing, and the sauces for the entrees bring out the best flavors of the entree. My favorite side is the mashed sweet potatoes. This is one of our destination restaurants for special meals. more

Wow! Our first experience with The Fresh Fish Company was for brunch on New Years Day. And we've already gone back. Great atmosphere. Great staff -- we really felt welcome. Better than great food! My husband is a picky eater, but he ate everything and loved everything. We all love it. Can't wait to go back! more

Easy to find on the south side of busy Hampden Avenue east of I-25, fish tank ambience, couples and family groups happily celebrating anniversaries and birthdays, plus excellent food and service! What's not to like? My husband and I have been there three times and not had a bad meal and enjoy the cheerful, "can-do" wait staff. more

I really liked the fish options, tried both the grouper and mahi-mahi with the different sauces and great flavor. I thought it was a little pricey but the food was great and sometimes they run specials during the week if you sign up as a member. more

My wife and I ate there and the meal was terrific. First, the Calamari is the best I've had. Previously, the best Calamari I'd had was in Santa Barbara. The Fresh Fish Co Calamari only uses sliced strips from the body, and the breading is really different from the usual standard plain batter. The portion of fish in the main course was large, and I like thick pieces of fish, and got a nice thick piece. The seafood meal here is the best I've had in Denver. more

Sunday brunch was exceptional. Reminded us of the ritzy hotels. Fish was fresh and tastifully prepared. Other entrees were plentiful. Presentation was exception. Buffet was well-maintained. It will be on our list of must-do's when we come to Denver. D&D more

I've eaten at a number of fish restaurants in my 64 years, and Fresh Fish Company is among the best! Their food is fresh and tasty, their service is great, and the prices are very affordable. I am especially fond of their shrimp coctails featuring 6 succelent, sweet prawns and the lobster and accompanying items are truly tasty! The service is excellent. I bring my wife, and we have a date-lunch or dinner. We have had most of the things on the menu and have never been disappointed. I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone who likes fresh seafood, vegetables that are properly cooked, and service second to none. Come on and have a date-night with your spouse. Went for happy hour had calamari is was great (so good we had another) we also had fish abd chips and it was very good. Another person in the party had coconut shrimp it was was super as well. We all had clam chowder it was just as good as everything else. The service was great and we all had a very nice time. I would highly reccomend Fresh Fish. I have been gooing there for over 25 years and always have had great food and superior service. more

This has been a go-to Fish restaurant for more than 20 years for our family. The fish has ALWAYS been served in a presentable manner,, the side dishes tasty and the service always nearby, and not hovering. This unusual aspect, has always been their Birthday Club, no fee, and a discount equal to your birth age. We bring out of town people here, since we know the consistent variety and taste of their fish. more

Since moving to Denver a year ago from Leadville, I have made this my favorite place. The service is excellent. You are remembered by management and staff. They even remember your quirks and cater to them. I bring my mother who is 87 and that is very important for her. I've had most of the things on the menue and have never been disappointed. Their wine by the galss is an excellent selection. My favorite, which I can only get by the bottle, - if it is even available - is available by the glass. This restaurant has been a constant performer over the years. The seafood is always fresh, the service is excellent, and the staff is friendly. i had the opportunity to have a quiet lunch to do some work and treat myself to lunch on my 60th birthday. The waiter and the food made this a very special experience for me. Looking for a great Sunday Brunch that is family friendly? My husband and I took our four granddaughters to Sunday Brunch for their birthdays. The four young ladies included three thirteen-year-olds, and one twelve-year-old. The four of them were dressed up and ready for this annual outing with Grandma and Grandpa. The wait staff was amazing! They pampered the girls and helped them feel special. When I started to take a picture, a gentleman came over from another table and offered to take a picture of all of us. It turned out that he was a regular customer who looked forward to his Sunday Brunch experience several times a month. When my husband got the check, our waiter had applied the "Birthday Discount" to each of the girl's meals. This is a great place to take someone special for a memorable event. And on top of everything else, the selection and flavor of the foods was wonderful! Pros: Experinced Wait Staff Cons: A little pricey, but worth it more

I have been going to The Fresh Fish Company since it opened. Although I live a three hour drive away, I save to go. I have never been disappointed. I have tasted so many fish dishes that I had never heard of, and found so extraordinary. The service is excellent; love the way I am treated. Now I belong to the birthday club, and I and my family had a marvelous lunch. The aquariums are a plus, especially when I take friends for the first time. There is always plenty of wheelchair parking available. Plenty of food on my plate. The best Fish Restaurant in the Denver area. On a scale of minnow to tuna, it rates a Sushi Grade Yellow Fin.! Pros: Wheelchair Parking; Great Service Cons: None that I know of. more
