Best

This is about the best you can get when it comes to burritos. There are things you have to consider when creating your burrito at these types of places. LESS IS MORE. I also us...

Worst

Freebirds SUCK if u ask me! They give the smallest portion possible and compared to Bullritos-well there really isn't any comparison.

aggies did good for once 8/20/2002

This place started in College Station as you may know, but dont let that scare you away. Youll miss out on really cool burritos. Mine was full of beef, cheese, habenero sauce, cheese, rice....and probably more too. Upon entering, i rapidly panned the room for aggies. To my good fortune, i did not see any that night. Cool. Anyways, try this place out, youll like it, i know you will. Pros: food, mustard, condiment bar is fun Cons: aggies, decor is boring, kind of expensive more

An Aggie Tradition Reaches the Big City 8/15/2002

Save the bird! Eat a Monster! Those two phrases saved what is not a North Side legend. Initial confusion about whether Freebirds served free-range chicken combined with the distinctly non-country atmosphere led the Bird to a slow start. Now, after multiple expansions, it has reached Houston with all of the flavor and fire (Long Live Death Sauce) that have made it a mainstay of the Aggie diet. This is low-cost, high volume taste explosion sure to satisfy. So Save the Bird. Eat a Monster. Pros: Inexpensive, Super Tasty, Huge portions Cons: The line more

I am an an orange-bleeding Longhorn, but I LOVE Freebird's! There's something for everyone (plus Amy's next door)! more

Memories and good food 8/12/2002

Great food, fun place, reminds me of the college days of my past...*sigh* I love da Bird! Pros: Quick service, Order always in sight Cons: Location more

Monstrous 8/8/2002

Smiling faces, friendly service, I love Aggieland in Houston... This is not just a place for Aggies, but for everyone that loves burritos, taco salads, or even quesadillas. Veggie or meat filled works well here. Freebirds burritos are the best I've ever had. Pros: low cost, lots of food Cons: busy more

The Real Original Finally Gets Here 7/29/2002

As an Ag who frequented the original in College Station and tried the imitators in Houston, I'm glad they finally opened up down here. This is the original! Chicken with BBQ sauce, I know it sounds crazy on a burrito, but try one and you'll understand! For some reason the original location still tastes the best, but it beats the hour plus drive. How far will and Ag go to get a Freebird? I personally flew burritos half way across the country to bring some C.S. goodness to homesick Ags. more

A lot of food 7/26/2002

The burritos are large and delicious. A great place to go when you're hungry. more

You can't get much better than this! 5/21/2002

Honestly, anyone that does not like Freebirds wouldn't know good food if it hit them in the face. It's full of flavor, there are many selections, and the store's clean. Granted, Mission is also good. But to say Freebirds is bad is just plain silly! The food is spectacular. You can have a different meal everytime you go in. The are fast & friendly. I will say that I don't like the design of the Houston location as much as I like the College Station locations. But I'm there for the food, not the design. If you know good food when you taste it, this is the place for you. If you're picky and eat like a girl, this isn't your place. Pros: Inexpensive, Great Food, Very Clean Cons: Very busy, Pepsi Products more
