Be very careful if you do business with them, do not except a credit card order for anything. We sent them a part which was signed for and received, first they tried to say it didn't work which was a lie, then 2 months later they told their bank they did not receive the part and attempted to do a chargeback. Our bank stood by us and we were able to prove they was lying and running a scam. Terry had even sent a false statement for repairs, making up a company and address that did not exist. There are plenty other places to get parts from, I advise you to chose another. In the 15 years we have been in business this is the most dishonest company I have ever dealt with. more

I recently bought a very exotic Jaguar engine from Fayard Auto Parts . They were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about my car even though so few people will even stock Jaguar\r Auto Parts because they are so expensive and the cars are handbuilt for the most part like a Bently or Rolls Royce with super complicated electrical systems and engine computer's /sensors . Fayards not only got me a complete engine for the car but it also had only 25,000 miles on it and was as new . I asked that they make sure that the engine ran well b4 having it shipped and then also to make sure that it came 100% complete because the problem I was having was most auto parts would quote me on a bare bones engine with head , no fuel rail or throttle body etc and the other parts companies were out of this world on the price for a stripped down engine . Fayards got me a 100% complete engine with alternator , ac compressor , fuel rail and all the sensors !!! It was low miles and ran great on the bench at their warehouse in California and now runs wonderfully in my car ! I got a very reasonable price from Mr. Fayard on the engine and installation and I am very pleased with the parts and the labor that they did to bring my Jaguar back to life !!! I continue to recomend Fayard Auto Parts in Gretna at 500 West Bank Expressway to all my friends for their parts needs for any brand of car or truck you may own .I find Mr. Fayard very helpful and very personable and understanding . He continues to service my Jaguar whenever I need anything like recently he did a transmission service and oil change . He actually called me and reminded me it was time to do the oil change on the new engine !!! What Great SERVICE!!! You don't get people that know about cars when you go to a parts store anymore or care about you and the car after the big job is done, but at Fayards they continue to help you with any other service or maintence you may need down the line ! They offer full service , are always helpful and taught me things I did not even know about my car and how to properly maintain it . I recommend Fayard Auto Parts for any parts needs or just if you need help to know what you really need for your car when it is not running properly or making a funny noise etc. ! It is so rare nowadays to find a parts man that knows what you are talking about when you describe a car problem ! I've tried on several ocassions to see if they were deceiving me as a customer, but were always satisfied in my everyday purchases. I am seriously shocked to see any negative comments about Fayards. \r \r I used to shop here regularly spent plenty of cash with them and never had an issue, they were always helpful and courteous.\r \r I am new to this board but I think they should have an area for someone in management to dispute or try and help resolve any issues. \r \r The BBB even shows a good rating and any complaints were closed. Sounds like they handle things quite well so drop the attitudes sometimes s*** happens and it just needs to be dealt with. more

In the name of Jesus do not trust this rotten people. Shawn and Terry are complete scammers and the most low down liers in the fraud bisness . Be careful not to send them any parts on there credit card. They will claim they never recived the parts or you sent it to the wrong adress. To the inocent you have been warned. He is a professional scammer, lier I can not express how low these people are If you been scammed buy these people you need to tell everyone it will help. I've done business with this company many times, and each and every time they satisfy my need. I have one suggestion, to open a place on the east bank of the Mississippi River (lol). I've never been dissatisfied with anything or any part which this company has supplied. Their parts are original, which suit my needs better than any old after market parts which Napa and Auto zone's give you. Highly recommended. JD more

Just moments ago I had yet ANOTHER bad experience with this man who obviously thinks he is king. The next time he calls ME asking ME if i have a particular part for HIM to buy (since HE doesn't have it in HIS JUNK YARD ) and I tell him i DON'T have it and he proceeds to tell me that I DO I will report him to the BBB. & on top of that when I reassure him i DON'T have it he HANGS UP IN MY FACE! I use these people on a regular and consistent basis. Their unrelenting way of really trying to help their customers keep me coming back again and again. For instance, I needed the vertical panels for my 1993 Infiniti I30 convertible. These panels are no longer available at the Infiniti Dealership, their obsolete. These panels are the located in the rear of the vehicle opposite the front dash board, and they hold the rear audio speakers. NOBODY, I mean NOBODY in the South East had these availabe. I called Fayard Auto, and they asked me to " HOLD ". I could tell they were busy, and I thought to myself, that the staff member could easily tell me that they did not have them and I could possibly try the dealership which every other Auto Parts company had referred me. The Staff member came back to the phone and told me that if I came in and Pre-Paid for the items, that he could have the panels shipped to his location within three business days. My Jaw dropped to the floor. I immediately ran over and paid for the items and the rest is History. Needless to say, in three days, I had what I was looking for and they fit perfectly as they were the original panels in which I could not find anywhere. Fayard Auto Parts continues to satisfy me on a regular basis, and also I just found out that they have a body shop and repair facility. These guys are truly awesome. I'm always in a bad mood when my automobile breaks down or some kind of maintenance needs to be done. It is always a pleasure to call Fayard Auto Parts. My wife and I have been using them since the late 70's and early 80's. The other day, 07/01/10, I sent my wife over to see about an Alternator for my 05' mercedes S500AMG. The Alternator was $266.97, not alot of money but enough to hit my wallet pretty good. I brought the alternator to Fayard's and their employee asked me if I wanted to have it checked? I replied "what the heck"? Come to find out, it wasn't bad, it was a bad battery. Now, I know if I would have gone anywhere else, I would have bought a alternator and many other things. It pays to go to someone who has the knowledge to keep people like me and my friends and family on the road. I won't use another auto parts store. Fayard keeps a smile on my face. Thanks Fayard ! Tried several other auto parts for parts no one had in stock. Fayard's helped me within 1 day and had the correct part at that. Pep Zone, Auto Boys and Disadvance Auto kept giving me the run around for days upon days and finally wanting to refund me my money after all said and done. We all understand that when your vehicle breaks down, we are not in the best mood possible, but its nice to know that when your in a jam and need some experienced people to help with problems which not even the dealer or the several fast chain auto parts places cannot, Heed my advice: " If they (FAYARD AUTO) don't have it, You don't need it!" Nearly 8 different auto parts companies have been unable to assist me with my Automotive and Industrial needs, a mechanic highly recommended Fayard Automotive Parts Stores and I decided to give them a chance since their Logo states " If we don't have it, You don't need it", One call did it all. I have been using them ever since and it's unbelievable the things they have and have access to. For example, I needed a deisel injector pump for a 1962 tractor. They had it for me in just 2 days, Unbelievable! They know their sh**! You will not be let down if you try these guys, they have experience and dedication in helping the comsumer. Kenp more

I was broke down on I-10, on my way back to Houston ,Texas. I pulled to the nearest repair facility and they told me that no one in the whole area had the part that I needed nor did anyone do the kind of work necessary to repair my vehicle. One of the cashier's there at the place told me to call Fayard Automotive. I asked for a phone book and I called Fayards. I explained to the gentlemen over the phone my problems and he began to tell me what to look for. I asked the repair shop if they knew what the fellow at Fayard's was explaining and wow, no more than 45 minutes later , they had the part over to the shop and I was on the road again in no time. If it were not for Fayard's Automotive Parts Center, I probably would still be there in New Orleans. This company still sends me parts here in Dallas Tx. I keep thanking them each and everytime I call them for what they did. OH! IT was closing time at that, and they even stayed open and brought my part to the repair facility all the way across town. Cool to know there is still some descent businesses there in the great city of new orleans. They have my business. Rock on Fayard's. This is my very first review, but I refuse to let the wonderful service I received go to tell no one. The business that I had with this company was professional and speedy. The dealership told me that I needed a new engine, I brought it to Tony, and he diagnosed it to be a clogged radiator and cooling system. I then asked them to remedy my problem for the minimal amount of money, and BAM! It was fixed 2 days later with a bill of $226.97. Alot more inexpensive than $3275.99 plus tax from the dealer. I read Richard A Moore's review and I beg to differ with his totally. I guess its hard to make everyone happy, but I wanted to express my wonderful exchange I had with this company and I understand everyone has to make money but wow, not $3000.00 dollars. If you ever need something within the automotive industry, call all around but call this company last and you will see just what I'm telling you. I'm a happy Fayard customer ! This palce should not be allowed to continue in business. They take advantage of the unsupecting customer with the false pretence of their willingness to help. Once they have your confidence then they begin to stick it to you. To begin they do not offer you a copy of the original ticket that is written up. They then add itme that is not on the original ticket. They do not givbe you the service that was promise. Each time that you inquire of them the story that they told the last time changes. This Auto Parts has it all. I was exhausted looking for a part I couldn't find anywhere else, 1 call to Fayard Auto Parts, B.A.M. ! They had it the next hour. I'm convinced that these people have more parts experience than any other parts house in the region. Please challenge them, if I may say so. If you can't find a part, Please try these ppl.
