Tim and Travis came at the time they had promised. Both guys were friendly, but hard working and didn't waste their time or ours. They were thorough, efficient and they cleaned up when done. Did a great job of explaining options and costs as well as the steps in the process. Would recommend them for hot water replacement. more

The installer was responsive and knowledgeable. This review is about company policy and possible upsell when utilizing Home Depot. I ordered a Rheem water heater to replace my 13 year home one. First, the wrong size was delivered so nothing was going to happen today. A pressure test was done finding I had 100psi. Their quote sheet specified it was to be no greater than 80. They said I needed to spend an additional $478 dollars to reduce my whole home pressure to 80. Once they left I called my city and they said there was no such requirement for this replacement as the pressure in the city varied from 30 psi to 125 psi. I called the company to follow up to see if it was a Rheem requirement, and they said no it was code. I responded saying it was not. Well, they said it is what they recommend. I said after 30 years in the house there had never been pressure problems related to the water heater. I would not go forward with the install if they forced me to lower the pressure. They would not change so the order was cancelled and I filed a report with Home Depoe. Not a requirement of my city or of Rheem. It is Fast Water Heater's own requirement. Why? In a commodity market, which water heaters have become, the only way to increase profits is to convince the consumer of a "requirement" that they label as "REQ BY CODE or MFR" which didn't exist. more

Just as the name states they are fast, the service pro Scott who took my call at 7:00am diagnosed the issue and sized the appropriate tank needed all on the phone, he coordinated with his field tech "Tim" who arrived within 2 hrs of call placement and completed the work in an efficient and timely manner, it was evident that he took pride in his work and I appreciated all the attention to detail. Tim from Fast Water Heater Company certainly lived up to the company name. My old water heater went out and needed a new one. They sent Tim out the next morning after I called! Thanks for the fast service! I did have trouble with this water heater a year ago, and they were able to do a quick fix, so they did not do a new installation at that time, which was very honest, and why I chose them this time. Tim was very professional and courteous. He was very informative, and answered all my questions in detail. I am very impressed with the company and service. Tim represented the company for installation. He was great, and did a good job on the installation. The company, however, was horrible. I contacted them in November for price and tentative installation date. They wanted additional information. When I called and left messages for the sales person (Shane) to give him that info, my calls were not returned. I finally called the number listed on the Home Depot site again, and talked to another salesperson who said Shane was no longer with the company. I had a quote for a particular water heater (model number was given). The second salesperson said they could not install on the original date and gave me a new one, but they would honor the price minus the $200 Oregon rebate. When I called just prior to the installation date, they said it would cost $100 more to get the water heater I had specified. I called the local Home Depot store manager (Amanda, Hillsboro). She had a conference call with Fast Water Heater, herself and I. They determined that they would give me the correct water heater at $50 less than the original quote. When Tim arrived, they tried to substitute a lesser water heater. In order to get the right one, I had to pay an additional $100, and the Oregon rebate was reduced $100, so I ended up paying $200 MORE than the original quote!! Tim did what he could do, but the company was deceptive and dishonest during my entire dealing with them. If you buy a water heater from Home Depot, buy the product directly from them and have someone other than Fast Water Heater install it, because you are bound to be cheated if you deal with them! more

Had a 17 year old water heater with slow leak. Fast Water Heater sent Josh and helper the next day. Many aspects of new water setup had to be brought up to code. Job started at 4:30 pm and they were here until 8 pm. Josh was very professional and took time to answer my questions and discuss options. Very dedicated and thorough with installation, removal of old equipment and cleanup. Price seemed reasonable although I did not shop around--I needed someone right away. Would definitely use again. more

Dale Weise was both courteous and professional. He carefully measured and assessed the situation, then provided several options of what could be done to replace my existing unit. Afterward he went about his business and when it was all installed and complete, he tested everything and then went over the specifics once more and I signed all of the necessary paperwork. Our plumber called promptly in the morning before arriving, and did an excellent job relocating and installing the water heater. When it was hooked up he made great effort to ensure no leaks, running between the garage and the new connection point downstairs, to check on the pipes. Thank you for a job well done. more

Josh called, showed up, asked me a few questions, explained what he was going to do, replaced the old water heater and he was done. He explained the warranty and how to turn on the water heater. Time was extremely polite and professional and was clearly an expert. He let me watch his installation of a new water heater, taking time to answer questions. We had a tricky crawlspace hatch and a tight area and he gracefully dealt with a few challenges that popped up. more
