Best

This was my 2nd time coming to this restaurant, but my first time to dinner. We went before a show at HP Pavilion, and we definitely will be coming...

Worst

The food was great but service was awful. I actually have one of those certificates from a website and as soon as the server saw that I have a certificate she made a face. The ser...

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! 1/13/2007

Fahrenheit is by far the WORST place in regards to customer service that I have EVER encountered. I reserved a table a week in advance w/ them for a big party during the lounge time. To begin w/, it took them forever to call me back!! Once they took my information down, I had to call 3 times in 2 days in order to get them to call me back for to answer more quetions!! The sales guy promised me a table at 10PM for $200 one bottle minimum. I go there at 10:30PM and my tabel IS NOT EVEN READY. The manager said he would give me the table I asked for, but only when the other customers sitting at my table were ready to get up!!! That was about 11PM. I asked if the manager would give me a discount since my table time just got cut in half. He flat out said NO!! Oh, and I forgot to mention, the 2 sales guys I sent the VIP list to never even printed my guest list. On top of that, while we were there, we saw a hostess attack a female customer. Is this the kind of people they hire???!!! Would you feel safe when Fahrenheit's own staff would not hesitate to get into a fight w/ you!!! I WILL NEVER MAKE A RESERVATION W/ THEM OR GO BACK B/C THEY ARE HORRIBLE!!!! Pros: Music Cons: The RUDE staff and manager. Worst customer service. more

Nice space 10/31/2006

So a friend of mine just moved to San Jose so I went to visit her. This was the first place we went to. I really liked the space - modern and roomy. The dance floor is a bit on the smaller side, but since there weren't too many people when we arrived it was ok. Drinks were good, minus the curdled buttery ni**les that were served to us. It reminded me of a bar that would be in San Francisco, which I thought wasn't possible in San Jose. Pros: Space, music. Cons: You have to pay to get in. more

Go if you need some space... 10/29/2006

This place was kind of boring when i went. There wasn't a lot of people there and there isn't much room to dance. I wouldn't come here again. Only come here if you feel like lounging. more

Nice Place for a Meal and a Drink 9/19/2006

Fahrenheit is a nice place to come to for a bit to eat and have a drink afterwards in a hip environment. They serve Asian Fusion style food here. The food quality and portion sizes here are good. A person can get by on making a meal out of their small plate options. The prices are on the high side, but you expect that going into this place. Service quality is good here too. They have a big drink selection and had a couple of drinks that night after it changed from a resturant to a club. Prices again are on the high side, but they serve everything in bigger than average glasses. Bar is really nice but the bartenders tend to be slow on the service. Also there was no dance floor. Not sure if it was because of a big party of 30 people there that night, but the place didn't have a dance floor. Also the place is on the small side, so I can see how on a busy night this place can be crowded and almost claustrophibic. Overall it's a good place to come to if you can get right in, but I wouldn't wait longer than 10 minutes for either the club or the resturant. Pros: Great Atmoshpere & Good Portion Size on Food and Drinks Cons: Average Food, Ok Service, On the Pricey Side more

Good for dinner and jazz 9/18/2006

The first and only time I went was on a Wednesday for their jazz nights. Wanted to give them a chance to impress without going through the wild and crazy weekend experience. Food was good, not spectacular but I would probably eat here again. The band played well and we felt entertained. The place was about half full which isn't bad for a Wednesday night. Obviously you'll get your slightly older crowd but sometimes you just want to relax and listen to jazz and eat your meal in peace without drunken 18, I mean 22 year olds spilling their cosmos on you. I think they'll do okay if they keep a variety of nights like this available all week. Pros: Great decor Cons: Small for a club more

By Far Classiest and Hip Spot in San Jose! 7/4/2006

Had dinner here on a Saturday night, was very pleased with the dishes and service. My party and I hung out for after dinner cocktails, as the swanky restaurant morphed into a hip night spot. I was surprised as to how quick the spot got packed. With a slight line peeking around the venue. What was a dinner and a cocktail turned into a great night of mingling and dancing. Definetly a spot I will attend again with friends. Great young and classy crowd, fair prices with the cocktails not too stiff. more

Fahrenheit / Hip Crowd 3/21/2006

The crowd was hip and sophisticated the nights I was there. Food was awesome! Tried the Karaoke Tuesday Night and it was packed. Excellent food and presentation! Pros: Hip Crowd, Bartenders & Servers more

Not worth the trip out in the cold! 12/4/2005

This place would be cool if there was a) some sort of crowd....went on a Friday night and it was dead b) if the bartenders were'nt busy flirting with each other and ignored you c) having to wait outside in line when there is only 2 other people in front of you. Come on Fahrenheit show some love to your willing PAYING customers!!! Pros: Parking Cons: Staff more

SO nice & SO much fun!! 11/20/2005

I don't know what's up w/ everyone who despised Fahrenheit cuz this is THE nicest ultra lounge in the South Bay. My friend had her birthday party this weekend & we all (25 of us) had a blast! The staff is SO warm 'n welcoming .. the decor is speckless .. & the music just grooves on all night. Plus, the patrons aren't your usual college crowd .. there were also professionals out for a good time. Again, the staff was amazingly friendly .. even the bouncer, Rudy was a sweetheart .. and the patrons were there to mingle too!! The food was good (esp the Chicken w/ Cocnut Rice) but with drinks, you may want to ask it to be a bit stronger then their usual standard. But yeah .. the ambience was unreal .. music, decor, people .. I felt like I was in SF :) Pros: ambience, people, music Cons: drinks may be weak, cover for guys more

Lunch Spot for Tapas and more! 8/29/2005

Was walking through downton with fellow grad students looking for a place to have lunch. Went in to Fahrenheit Lounge / Restaurant for a bite to eat. The place has the most exquisite lunch plates. The presentation was wonderful and the food delicious. The garlic noodles, satay and calamari were the best. Prices are more than reasonable. Pros: Close to school more

What to do on a Saturday Night 8/27/2005

Likes: location, good music, nice atmosphere, fire slinging bartenders Dislikes: hip hop/house played after midnight DJ Dana and DJ Orio work together to bring energy and funk to San Jose. It really heightens the experience to see them feed mixes off of each other and actually have fun doing it. Pros: djs before midnight, dance floor, vibe Cons: dj after midnight more

Great place for a date! 8/15/2005

I have been to Fahrenheit many times for the late night dinner and dancing. Off the hook! One Wednesday night, I was looking for a place to take my new date. Wanted to treat her nice, but not too over the top, and a little less pressure. Fahrenheit was perfect. There was no cover charge this night. I think they only charge cover after 10:30pm on weekends. Sometimes I have gone and they had no cover on the weekend. Who knows... This night, we relaxed in the upscale lounge setting, while listening to the live jazz. She wanted a bite to eat with our cocktails, so we ordered the Calamari. WOW! was it good. Needless to say, the rest of the evening ended up exactly where I had hoped... :) Pros: Nice Vibe, Great Music, Friendly Staff Cons: Pricey more

Impressive Lounge and Restaurant! 8/11/2005

I had an amazing time at Fahrenheit! The bartenders and cocktail waitresses were awesome. You want to see the bartender put on a great flair / fire show, go to Fahrenheit. The drings were tasty / strong / large. Pros: Chic / Modern, Music, Great crowd more

RUDE!!! 8/7/2005

Dont go to this bar/club unless you want to be treated badly and ignored. The bartenders make great drinks and a couple of them were really friendly and great but the rest of the staff there need to understand who is keeping them in business and take some customer service classes! The bouncers are rude and very unfriendly. Overall, with some attitude adjustments from the staff this bar/club might actually be good. Pros: Good parking, Good drinks Cons: Rude staff more

Friendly People, Friendly Staff 7/26/2005

The drinks and food are amazing! The crowd is fun! Pros: Music, Decor / Chic more

Class brought to San Jose 7/25/2005

Simply put it's a beautiful upscale lounge which is hard to come by in San Jose. Whether you go for a quick after work drink or a bite to eat on the weekends it's a place to check out. During the week and early evenings the atmosphere is more relaxed, especially nice if you're dining. On the weekends the lounge livens up with more of a party atmosphere. Their waitstaff is friendly but once they fill up it can be hard to find the cocktail waitress unless you have a reserved table. On the restaurant end the food is quite good, everything from delicious prawns to beef-wrapped asparagus. I'd suggest ordering a few dishes to experience the many tantalizing flavors. It's also a great place to take a date for the sexy intimate atmosphere. Pros: martini's, decor, food more

Bring Lounge Culture to Next Level 7/24/2005

Fahrenheit Ultra Lounge supplied us with a unique atmosphere and captivating style through its decor giving us a feeling of seduction fueled by vivid changing ceiling colors, video and music. The attention to detail is limitless from the intimate seating that invited all to an intriguing night of conversation. The decor was just one of the things we looked forward to. The wide open space of cool surrounded us with DJ and live music and an array of the most popular drinks. After enjoying our drinks, we had tapas that delightd our senses. The food was excellent and the presentation even better. The bartenders put on an awsome show with their flaring and tossing. Fahrenheit is an experience worth remembering. Try it! We love it, and will return often. more

Something to Shout About 7/24/2005

Walking past the huge windows with curtains drawn at 99 E San Fernando, San Jose, you cannot help but stop and try to peer in. You wonder, just what's in there? The answer is Fahrenheit. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, it's a scene. Beneath the ceiling, pulsating rhythms blast from a deejay stationed high above the action. During the week at lunch it is more subdued. On both trips, though, the menu made it fun to choose lunch from the tapas selections. Pros: Music / People, Bartender / Flaring, Food / Drinks more

Worldclass upscale fun, brought downtown... 6/22/2005

Bringing sexy, high-class, chic, vibes and great times to downtown. If you've been out and about, you'll know the Heit isn't just unique, but on par with some of the best hangouts in Vegas, LA, SF, & NY. Everyone is looking sexy, guys and girls are dressed to impress and everyone is there to have fun! A perfect setting for everyones musical tastes. Wednesdays, Live Jazz! Thursdays, Hip-Hop. (too classy for hoodrats and gangstar's, have fun without having to watch your back) Fridays & Saturdays, DJ's spinning a slammin mix of dance music. Flair Bartending? Catch Graham and crew dazzling the crowd throught the night... You won't see this anywhere in SJ! Get hungry late? No problem, hot tapas to keep you happy fresh from the kitchen all night long. I love this place! Don't knock it untill you try it. Go see for yourself, I'm sure you'll be back! Pros: Fun, Friendly Staff, The Music!, Overall Vibe more
