We really WANTED to love this place, because we love the Dahlia Lounge, but this was in a lesser league entirely. Located near the Market, the restaurant has a dining area crowded around a bar. While not noisy or obnoxious, the bar atmosphere detracts from the ambience. On the plus side, the service was friendly and efficient. However, the food left a lot to be desired. Having lunched late, we were only mildly hungry, so made the mistake of ordering only the entrees, as they were were advertised as coming with accompanying sides. The two tiny crabcakes seemed portioned as appetizers rather than a dinner entree, and tasted mainly of the cooking oil with which they seemed saturated, accompanied by nice crisp green beans and skinny french fries that also tasted mainly of oil. My husband's sturgeon was reportedly well prepared, but my daughter found her salmon undercooked although she had requested it ""overdone"". For the price, the quality was only passable and the portion sizes were stingy in the extreme. Had we dined with normal appetites, we would have left still very hungry.
